West Coast Windows replaced our entire guttering, fascias, bargeboards, soffits and downpipes, around our bungalow. On the back of that work, we decided to contract WCW again to replace our blown double glazing in our dining room, and adjust our double glazing doors that weren''t opening/closing properly and smoothly.

"West Coast Windows replaced our entire guttering, fascias, bargeboards, soffits and downpipes, around our bungalow. The work was completed to a high standard and James was able to, and flexible enough, to resolve a few unexpected issues that arose during the work.

On the back of that work, we decided to contract WCW again to replace our blown double glazing in our dining room, and adjust our double glazing doors that weren't opening/closing properly and smoothly. Again, the work was completed to a high standard and quickly, and to a reasonable price too. My dining room is no longer cold and I can open my doors so easily now. It's like I have brand new doors!

I would highly recommend WCW to the local community, not just because of the standard of work, but that James always communicates when the work will take place, how long for and the price too, so that I feel confident all work has been agreed."

Full house of new windows and replacement glass in another property.

"Highly recommend James and his team. I contacted him for a quote on my grandmother’s house after seeing his business advertised in the local newspaper. From the outset, he really looked after her, providing a very reasonable quote and even offering a payment plan, which was genuinely appreciated. I didn’t even bother looking around for other quotes because I was so happy with the first one.

The standard of work was excellent and completed in a timely manner, with great attention to detail throughout. My grandmother was so happy with James and the team that I don’t think she wanted them to leave! They were a pleasure to have around while carrying out the work.

My father was a window fitter before he passed away a couple of years ago, so it meant a lot to use a company that was so professional, helpful, and considerate. Very much appreciated. I’ll definitely be getting James back to quote for new fascias and gutters next, and have recommended to a couple other people looking for new windows too."

"The pre-visit was conducted efficiently and punctually with a subsequent estimate of cost provided. A date was agreed for fitting and all went very smoothly. To remove 2 old windows and replace with 2 tilt and turn windows which are in keeping with the rest of the windows in the house. They came and measured up after my initial phone call, then let me know when the windows were available to install. Gave a day and a time and kept to it. Installed them then tidied up really well after them.

"This is a very trusted firm. We've been using West Coast windows for quite a few years now and have never had cause to complain. James is one of the few tradesman who gives you a time for the work and turns up exactly as he says. The two men work very efficiently and very hard to get the job done, and we personally won't use any other window fitters. They are extremely clean and tidy, and from the word go, dust sheets are put down to protect flooring and they tidy up amazingly. I wouldn't have believed that 2 old windows (one a 120 years old) could be taken out with all the old surrounding wood gouged out and expertly replaced with lovely new West Coast windows in roughly 4 hours. They are also very helpful guys and having used them for years for 1, 2 or 3 windows at a time, we personally wouldn't use any other firm. Our house has the equivalent of 20 windows and apart from the 1st 2 replaced by someone else, James and Pim have replaced 18 over the years.
Having been ripped off badly by so called tradesmen fairly recently, which actually destroyed our trust in people, it is very refreshing to get a small firm in, that is not only trustworthy but helpful and friendly with it. I would recommend them 100%"

We received quotes from three firms local to the Thornhill area as we were keen to get replacement windows mainly to cut down on traffic noise in our small holiday cottage.

"West Coast Windows quote was very competitive and it was easy to discuss various options with James.

We went with 8 mm glass on the windows at the front of the cottage to cut down traffic noise and normal 6 mm glass for the windows at the back of the cottage.

I had no idea of the likely cost of the work and felt the quote was very reasonable - and if I’d known of the likely cost we could have had the work done a couple of years earlier.

We received the quote in the middle of September and the work was completed in November. We are delighted with the windows and there is a very noticeable reduction In traffic noise.

I am happy to recommend West Coast Windows - friendly guys who did a good job and cleaned up as they went along."

"The dynamic duo turned up very promptly. Both worked very hard and efficiently. They were easy to talk to, very professional with the right mix of banter. Their work was of high standard with a stunning finish. Would highly recommend their work. They also fitted a uPVC door to my mother's house and again, the work was of exceptional standard.
