"We were very happy with MJS throughout the process . Although we wanted to use a local company we did price around and found MJS to be very competitive on price as well .

The quote provided was clear as was any cost difference where there was a choice of options . The options were also clearly explained to allow us to make a balanced choice.

Installation went smoothly and MJS were very flexible in fitting this around other work we were having done . Where there was one issue with fitting Ryan quickly came to discuss this and rectified it quickly.

The system is working well and looks good .

Overall we found the process very smooth , low stress , and we would definitely use MJS again and recommend to friends

"Dealing with MJS on a substantial building contract has been very straightforward and the plumbers and electricians have been nothing but professional throughout.

Because it has been a warm spring and we are going into summer it has not yet been possible to test the implementation under challenging conditions.

We are experiencing some difficulties incorporating and optimising legacy systems for solar thermal. That's because they are legacy systems. With the new ASHP the controls are not as user friendly as we have come to expect from a modern smart phone app."

Remove old ASHP and replace with like for like, plus improving modification to UFH plumbing

"Earlier experience of the incompetence of the previous installers of the ASHP being replaced caused some apprehension when choosing another firm to do equivalent work.

MJS proved to be efficient, communicative and expert in this field with work of a high standard. They were quick to attend initially to make an assessment and while they were unable to start work immediately, they were able to begin the installation sooner than the estimated time given. This was considerate with winter temperatures and no proper heating.

They additionally recommended the plumbing system be substantially revised and simplified to improve efficincy, which has proved to be the case.

Installations are still few and far between in our area and without a personal customer recommendation an alternative I used was to contact the suppliers of ASHP equipment and get a recommendation from them as to a proficient installation firm.

"Once again, MJS Energy has provided an excellent service in the installation of a quite substantial ground mounted solar array, inverters and batteries. This is now very effectively fulfilling our space heating needs via an Air Source Heat Pump, as well as other domestic electricity needs, and we are able to export excess to the grid. The team at MJS is knowledgeable, skilled and very proficient at working efficiently and effectively. There is very good after sales care to ensure everything is working properly. Installation of air source heat pumps and new radiators, in a three bedroom house.

"Changing from an old oil boiler to air source heating was a big decision for us. We did a lot of research and decided to work with MJS Energy based on an industry recommendation (from Heat Geeks).

From the start their approach was professional, approachable, and thorough. We agreed to a home survey, from which they provided a useful report and recommendations specifically for our home. They were clear about areas we would need to attend to e.g. additional insulation. And areas (outside the work itself) which they would undertake e.g. funding application.

I have never mentioned a contract in a review before but do so here to commend its clarity and scope. I felt clear about the work we were undertaking and respective responsibilities.

The job itself was scheduled across two weeks. We would be living and working from home throughout, with our two dogs. In lesser hands this might not have been ideal but the guys doing the work and managing the project could not have been more respectful of our space. In particular I like to thank Joe and Luke, who were with us for most of the two weeks. Their work ethic was extraordinary - arriving early, working late and taking pride in their work. They were also just very nice people - respecting our space, being clear about what they were doing and and in which room, which allowed us to accommodate them. I was also really impressed that at the end of long days they left our home remarkably clear and clean. Electricians were in and out in one day - and did a brilliant job, but were so fast I can't name them here.

Finally thank you to the MJS Project Managers (not sure if that is the right title!) Andrew, who came on day one to introduce the project and Craig, who came after everything was installed to check that we understood and were happy with the work. From start to finish we felt in very safe and professional hands - and now we are enjoying our nice warm home!."

MJS installed an Air Source Heat Pump plus additional radiators.

"As we were replacing an old broken heat pump, we had ideas of what we needed in a future package. MJS discussed our needs relevant to ourselves and the house, they gave us information regarding the choice and quality of heat pump and advised on a model which could be controlled remotely (essential as we are not always at the property) and agreed to use existing parts where suitable, so minimising unnecessary waste.
They communicated clearly and we were given the mobile number of the person who was managing the work, this was reassuring and helpful and continues to be offered as we get used to the system.
The workers who installed the heat pump and radiators were polite and friendly, as well as being effective and leaving the site tidy.
The heat pump has worked well and responded appropriately during the winter, heating and hot water, with basic control. It was set up for us as we are not tech savvy and I am assured that MJS will help with controls should that prove necessary in the future. One of the advantages of the remote control is that they are able to 'trouble shoot' from their office should problems occur. We are very satisfied with the installation.

"MJS is a really professional company. The staff are knowledgable and friendly. The site team was very accommodating and easy to get along with. The quality and high standards are reflected in the price of the equipment and the labour. The installation is neat and tidy. Everything looks like it should be where it is.

The heat loss calculation was very thorough and resulted in a smaller unit than I had installed 12 years ago. With the improvements in the efficiency of the new equipment I am seeing a real reduction in electricty usage

My only small critiscm is that they were too busy and had to be really pursuaded to even undertake the job. They could do with more staff, but are there enough well trained people out there to recruit? Once I got the commitment they stuck to their promises to the letter. They started when they said they would and completed the work in the agreed time."

"We have a lovely warm house thanks to MJS Energy.
We have been impressed with MJS from the very first phone call all the way through to completion of the installation of a Heliotherm split system Air Source Heat Pump. It is a big heat pump, and it was a big installation because the existing radiators and pipework had to be removed, and twenty-three new radiators fitted.
MJS are deeply knowledgeable, and this was evident during the initial survey, the building modelling and thinking through the way the installation was going to be carried out.
We were particularly impressed with the very hard-working plumbers who take great pride in their work and create pipework that is a work of art. They were very pleasant people to have around the house too.
The follow up has also been great, and MJS have been thorough in making sure that everything is working properly and that we are satisfied. We are! Thank you."

The design, supply, installation and commissioning of an LG air source heat pump with associated tank, vessels plumbing and electrical services. The work was done in association with the financial grant under the government ''Boiler replacement scheme''.

"The work was done in association with the financial grant under the government 'Boiler replacement scheme'. The design and specification of the heat-pump installation was important in choosing this company to carry out this contract. I was influenced by their membership of the 'Heat-Geek' organisation and specifically wanted a well-designed but simple and efficient system.

A Heat-Geek designed tank was specified and supplied to a size to fit the narrow available space yet providing sufficient 200 Lt capacity and a giant 6 square metres of heat transfer area.

The choice of an LG heat pump was also an important consideration. This modern design, modulating speed machine (heat-pump, fan and circulating pump) has a 7 year warranty (when fitted by a registered LG installer). It also has the added built-in advantage of being able to operate as an air conditioner mode during the summer. All the calculations carried out indicate that this will be a most efficient and reliable system for a very competitive price.

The complete plumbing installation was very well carried out with no visible piping apart from in the tank room. The whole system requires only the single circulating pump (part of the heat-pump) and a single 3 way diverter valve to run the DHW, CH radiators and the downstairs underfloor heating.

The electrical installation was also to a very high standard being quick, neat and almost invisible.

The communication with this company was very good. All the time a feeling of competent good management giving an assurance that is needed for such a major installation.

Both the in-house plumber and electrical teams went above and beyond my expectations.

"We cannot recommend MJS enough.

They were very helpful from the beginning of the project (installation of solar panels and batteries), and readily provided their expert advice and experience to help us clarify exactly what we needed to achieve our aims.

The whole physical process, from erecting the scaffolding, fixing the solar panels and installing the electrical components went seamlessly. All the various members of the team were exceptional, friendly, very hard-working and willing to go well beyond the specific scope of their individual tasks if necessary. All the work was of a very high standard, and they left the site clean and tidy. They were brilliant.

The solar panel system has been working perfectly since it was installed and MJS has been outstanding in helping us get the best out of its capabilities. They have assisted us get the paperwork in order, so that we can transfer our energy account to a far more suitable provider (Octopus Energy).

To recap, MJS were superb, and we would recommend them to anyone looking to ‘go greener’ with a sun-stainable energy solution.

Installation of Air Source Heat Pump and new Hot Water Cylinder on ground floor, together with buffer cylinder and expansion vessel. Upgrade of radiators. Removal of old hot water cylinder from second floor bathroom and of water storage tanks from loft space.

"I found MJS Energy Ltd refreshingly easy to work with. During the planning stage they readily
answered all my questions and were responsive to my proposals to increase the diameters of the
pipes to the new radiators in the living room and the two bedrooms and to reuse the radiators
that were to be replaced. They made additional survey visits to appraise and solve potential
difficulties such as those arising from the reconfiguration of the hot water system.

The installation itself went smoothly and was completed within the predicted timeframe. The
plumbers were faced with a challenging task of fitting the 600 dia hot water cylinder in a narrow
toilet, along with the buffer cylinder and expansion vessel, but managed this very well. The
complex associated pipework is neat and unobtrusive. They succeeded in orientating and
positioning the hot water cylinder so as to leave adequate space for a new, standard size wash
hand basin, which replaced the former mini basin.

Claremont Hill consists of a 200 year old Grade 2 listed terraced house with a single storey,
flat-roofed rear extension added in the 1970s. The ASHP is sited outside the toilet at the end of
the rear extension, so a new electric cable to power the heat pump had to be run through the
older building and along the length of the extension. The electrician has to be complimented for
searching out a viable route for this cable, which did not impact on the fabric of the building.
The plumbers and the electrician were friendly at all times and took care to minimise the
disruption they caused.

Warranty Repairs to an LG heat pump. Warranty repairs to associated systems.

"MJS came in and worked their way through numerous problems caused by a previous contractor.
They kept at it , replacing various controllers, probes etc at the behest of the system supplier.

MJS were not reimbursed by the supplier for many of the warranty repairs they carried out but they still did them anyway.
They could have walked away and left me trying to deal with the supplier but they didn’t, they fought my corner and saw it through to the end, eventually managing to get me a brand new heat pump.

Their commitment and professionalism was outstanding."

"From the first survey through to completion of the installation I was impressed with the professionalism shown by MJS Energy’s staff.
During the installation it was obvious that the company’s employees took a pride in their work whilst always being polite, tidy and considerate.
Hopefully, the aftercare service will be of a similar, high standard. Presently, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their services.
