Solaris Energy installed an air source heat pump heating system with hot water tank to supply my hot water, central heating and underfloor heating.

"The system installed by Solaris energy has been a great success.

The process from design through to completion went very smoothly . We discussed and agreed the external location of the pump, which did not impact on the appearance of my Property.
I had an issue with a limited amount of space in my utility room, where the water tank and system were to be situated, but with some ingenious thinking they managed to fit it all in.
The after care support has been very welcome as a couple of times I’ve had to call up to rectify a couple of minor issues. The team at Solaris have always responded promptly and dealt with the issues quickly and in a professional manner.

I definitely recommend this company ."

Following a site visit from very helpful surveyor who undertook a heat loss calculation it was determined that I required a 5kW ASHP and a 200litre bespoke hot water cylinder. Certain radiators required upgrading and the reasons explained - I also had UFH installed by a builder friend to kitchen / utility that was also fed via the heat pump system. External unit fitted slightly further away than anticipated but was told I required more air flow. Both internal & external works done to works programme and to a high standard

My 3 bed detached house required radiator upgrades which were installed without disturbance to carpets and my home has never felt warmer and with lower running costs.

Installation of of 4 x 12kw Heat pumps and 2 x 10kw Heat pumps and associated pipework and plant overhaul

"I would highly recommend Solaris Energy to anybody looking into Heat Pump technology. Dan knows his stuff and stays on top of the technology available. You can be sure that the service you receive and the quality of the workmanship is second to none. From the initial quote to the heat loss survey and them the installation the whole process ran smoothly and without any problems.

We had a problematic system that had several design flaws, which resulted in repeated failures. We now have a new Vaillant heat pump system that has been carefully designed and well thought out. We are happy with our new system and safe in the knowledge that the system is backed with a 7 year warranty."

New heat pump supplied and fitted.

"I wholeheartedly recommend Solaris energy. From the very start, their customer service has been exceptionally good. I find them to be helpful and responsive, which is not a given with other companies. I experienced a problem with my old heat pump and when it became clear that I would need a new one, Solaris were able to source a pump despite countrywide supply chain issues, and even lent me some heaters in the interim to make sure we were not left without heat. The whole team seem to take pride in their work, from the engineers who take their shoes off in the house, to the team who answer the phone who are committed to ensuring that every question you might have is answered in an intelligent and timely way. I now have a new heat pump installed and am delighted with it. I am so pleased that I opted to work with Solaris, and am genuinely delighted to have found a company full of helpful, friendly professionals who literally move heaven and earth to support their customers."

3kW ASHP radiators and pipework

"As a relatively new company, its always challenging to get everything right. These comments are constructive and with the aim of improving the services provided.
I would suggest a pre - site works condition report is provided. Not just to photograph the area of the works but also to explain to the customer what is expected of them (for example clearing certain areas or providing access for the works) and to explain any areas (and to agree with the customer these areas) that will be lost to plant/control panels/pipework etc.
There should be a sign off process as and when the works are completed to ensure they are carried out in accordance with your company guidelines/BS etc but also the site is left as found. This would avoid the process we had where insulation was not put back, existing insulation in some areas just squashed, new pipework insulation missing, bathroom extract bracket broken.
There should be a follow up inspection after a period of use (days or a week?) to check for leaks etc. we had two leaks that were promptly dealt with.
During the site works there should be a single person responsible for the various trades working for the company."

Thank you for your feedback. We take on board your comments with regards to a pre-site condition report and taking of photographs.

This could be incorporated into our pre-site survey which is carried out before every installation and discussed with our customers.

Solaris installations are signed off and commissioned to MCS requirements, details of which are all included in the customer handover documents.

I understand your comments regarding the insulation and extract bracket have now been resolved. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Just to clarify, the leaks we rectified were on existing pipework which was not installed by Solaris Energy.

Solaris Energy changed our heating system from LPG to an Air Source Heat Pump last year. They design and installed the system, came back to check the system and will provide yearly maintenance.

"I found them to be knowledgeable, helpful and hard working. Overall I would recommend Solaris to other potential clients and felt they provided value for money.

Changing a complete heating system is intrusive for any household. I found Solaris took pride in there work and considered the clients requirements when undertaking the works. Any problem was resolved and they stayed late on a Friday to make sure the work was completed. Overall a positive experience and my energy bills have halved."
