We have engaged smarter Home 4U on several occasions over the last two years. In 2021 The team built my business a new office building where six of us now work from on a daily basis. In 2022 they have fitted a new bathroom suit and an en Suite.

"We have engaged smarter Home 4U on several occasions over the last two years.

In 2021 The team built my business a new office building where six of us now work from on a daily basis.

The team a polite, friendly trustworthy and very totally professional. The work was done to high standard, it involved, removing an old shed, clearing the ground building a wooden framework, walls and floor, building a roof, insulating the building, fitting velox roof windows, double doors, fitting double glazing and finishing off the outside with larch cladding on the outside. The inside was clad, decorated and completed to a high standard. My team love our Office and visitors are always impressed.

We all agree that Smarter Homes 4U did a fantastic job on that piece of work.

Since then, I have engaged the team on two more occasions

The first occasion was to solve a leak in my bathroom which involved removing rotten flooring, rebuilding and re-plastering the ceiling below and fitting a full new bathroom suite. The job was done quickly, efficiently and very cleanly.

Today the team returned to our house to install a new ensuite bathroom. They arrived on time, everything was cleared away and the standard of work was excellent.

I would recommend Smarter Home 4U 100%.

New bathroom, including redesign of plumbing and layout.

"Twenty years ago Tony installed a new bathroom for us.

Since then he has fitted a new kitchen, new bedroom furniture, put up shelves, fixed wobbly doors, renovated our daughter's house, changed windows into French doors, sorted our numerous leaky pipes, reconfigured our 17th century cottage in the Lakes, converted an old barn into luxury holiday accommodation and sorted out the pointing on our roof.

Last month he came back and replaced that original bathroom, changing it from a well-used family one to a gorgeous place for adults to relax in.

And every job has been the same - high quality workmanship, a positive "can do" attitude to all the issues that arise, a first-class team of staff and the ability to make dreams come true whilst still working to an agreed budget.

To anyone looking for a builder they can trust, speak to Tony.

"Called up Tony who came over to our house and looked at work would be required. He then quoted hourly price and that it would probably take around 4 hours. Was booked in hassle free. Chris and Dan arrived on time on the morning work was undertaken. They were polite and very friendly. They looked at the floor and decided it would be best to dismantle the bed frame which they did themselves, they then showed me where the issues were and carried out the work. Left the area clean and tidy. Very happy with the service. Will use for further work when required."

"Excellent from start to finish.
Contacted Tony on a recommendation and he responded quickly to look at the job, was helpful and professional throughout and I had a quote emailed soon after. He was extremely helpful in tailoring the quote and scope of works to our needs and fit within budget.
Work was arranged and Chris arrived on site early to set up and get started. Job was carried out to an excellent standard and Chris was friendly and extremely clean and tidy! I will definitely use again on future projects and would thoroughly recommend!!"

I was very satisfied with Tony and Neil’s work throughout, from the initial conversations about what I needed, to the solution ideas they proposed, to their prompt response and keeping to our agreement, to the transparency in their business with me. I was very satisfied with the quality of the work they did, the care they put in making sure furniture was protected, cleaning after, and responding to small things that had to be done some days after they completed the work. Kitchen renovation - taking out existing wall units, liaising with other trades - electricians, joiners, plasterers - then installing new shelving, dishwasher, tiling, significant number of other jobs around the house.

"We have used Tony and his team at SmarterHome4U for many years and I wouldn't think of using anyone else. He was able to understand exactly what we were trying to create in our kitchen and he was able to deliver our ideas on time and in budget.

Tony arrived exactly when he said he would and always tidied up afterwards. He liaised with the other trades such as electrician, joiner and plasterer, to make sure that everyone was where they should be and at the right time.

He was also more than happy to add a few extra jobs onto the work - all those little niggly things such as doors that won't close!

To summarise if you want some work doing in your house - from fitting kitchen taps to full scale extensions - then Tony and his team should be the first people you call. They're trustworthy, professional, full of ideas and lovely to have in your home."

Kitchen and dining room extension, with new kitchen. downstairs shower room and toilet fitted.

"Smarter Home 4U turned our dreams and the architect’s plans into reality. We now have a fabulous family living area and kitchen which accommodates the whole family when visiting.
Tony Chris and Jack were easy to have around during the 4-5 months the project took to complete and were not phased when inevitable issues occurred during the construction. The house was built in 1870 and certain things were only found during the construction process, but we were kept informed at all times.
We were also given a clear timetable and Smarter Home 4U co-ordinated the various different trades that were needed during the build and everyone was on site whenever we were told they would be.
Inevitably there was a lot of dust but we were very impressed with the tidiness of the site at the end of each day and the respect they showed to our property.
We are extremely pleased with the final result and have no hesitation in recommending Smarter Home 4U. We would certainly use them again if the need arose.

Including installing new ceiling in cellar, new waste pipes, water pipes and guttering on back wall, tiling, hanging new doors throughout, fixing plumbing and joinery work not completed properly by original builder, etc etc.

"Tony and team revamped an old shower room for us. There was a slight hick-up with an equipment order at the start of the job, but in my experience you can tell most about a service provider when things DON'T quite go according to plan, and the issue was dealt with very well.

"After contacting several other tradesmen we really struggled to find someone to fit our new bathroom, once we found Tony and his team we felt so relieved. He was able to start work within the matter of weeks. Throughout the process they came when they said they would and always arrived on time if not early, the work was completed to a high standard but at an affordable price. Once work began we were also looking for a tradesman to remove and brick up an external door, tony priced up the job at a much cheaper price than elsewhere and once again the job was done to an amazing standard. We are extremely happy with our new storage space and cupboard.
