External and internal painting and decorating service

"From the beginning Mark had been part of our Victorian home renovation project.
It started with the external painting of the property with the soffits/fascias and external doors, progressing to the internal painting and wallpapering of our entire home, together with the sanding and varnishing of many doors, windows, staircase and window seat.
Mark is extremely knowledgable to advise and help reach the best decision, always offering practical and logical explanations. His professionalism and attention to detail ensured that we were extremely happy and satisfied with the final result. We would highly recommend his services and would use Mark again for future projects knowing we were in safe hands."

Preparation and painting of the outside of the house, including a number of challenging chimneys. And all done in an unrelenting heatwave!

"I am very pleased with the work done by Ticketyboo. The firm was booked well in advance when a survey of the work was done. I was given a breakdown of the work involved, the materials required and a quote for the work. I was informed in advance when the work would start. Mark turned up when expected and worked solidly through the two weeks estimated for the task. I was consulted when decisions had to be made and Mark also managed to fit in some interior decoration - also very satisfactory.

I suspect that the work turned out to be more challenging than anticipated but Mark rosé to the challenge and got on with the job in a totally professional manner. Mark was a pleasure to have working around the place and the finished result looks really good. I would recommend Ticketyboo to anyone"

Decorating bedroom and en-suite shower room. Work included removal of old paper, filling holes and preparing walls, sanding woodwork, priming new woodwork, putting up new lining paper, painting walls and ceiling, and papering one feature wall.

"Mark is helpful and friendly, and importantly turns up when says he will. This sort of reliability is important if you’re taking time out of your day or week to arrange for quotes and work.

Marks quote was clear and he set out those areas where some costs might change because of unknowns. What sort of mess might be caused when the old paper was taken off the walls? Would there be a need for additional remediation or a separate plasterer etc? Essentially ensuring I made suitable allowance for additions which, happily, were not ultimately needed as Mark was able to resolve these himself.

There’s always a bit of a mess when decorating, but Mark made sure to protect my furniture and parts of the rooms not being painted well. There doesn’t seem to be any mess.

When we got to the end of the job Mark was the perfect professional and came back the next day to check that the number of coats on the walls had done the job, and did another one just to be sure.

We have since had the carpets replaced and put up new lighting so the whole things looks great. Would recommend Mark to anyone looking for a good and reliable decorator.

This wasn’t the first project Mark worked on for us, because a few months ago he also did a small living room which now looks sensational in a rich mid blue. Happy to share other photographs."
