Showers, bath and sinks were hardly draining and/or backing up; toilets were bubbling and making noises as were the drains in the sinks and showers (gurgling noises) whenever water was running anywhere in the house. We had just taken possession of the property the week prior. A plumber was called who referred us to Drainbusters. Drainbusters had to clear massive blockages in the drains outwith the house which had clearly never been serviced. After I showed them what was happening inside, they walked around the perimeter of the house to find the drains and water supply, etc., then cleared the blockages.

"We recently moved into a house that had a serious drain blockage issue. At first look it just seemed like the drains were a bit clogged, but it quickly became apparent there was a much larger issue when the toilets were actually GURGLING and the same noise was coming from the drains in the showers and sinks on both floors.

Our plumber recommended Bruce, who came out straight away to assess the problem. He was prompt, professional and thorough, explaining what he'd discovered and showing me the state of things before commencing work. There was, quite literally, sewage backing up to the extent that it was just a day or two away from coming up the drains inside the house and from underneath the covers in the driveway. When he opened the lid in the driveway, the water and sewage was just inches from the surface! He spent all the time needed to make sure the situation was fixed and done correctly, not just inside the house but at every point on the property like out in the garden, driveway, and the street. Then he tested all the drains to be sure it was complete, and showed and explained what he'd done so I could be confident it was indeed fixed. The drainage from the house was back down to normal levels (a couple of feet in depth) and running normally away from the house. Our toilets, sinks, bath, and showers are all draining perfectly now, and there's no more gurgling noises.

Bruce is a friendly and lovely guy, too, and was considerate of our property and didn't leave behind any mess. I would absolutely recommend him as your first call for anything drain related, and that includes having a service/maintenance check before there's a problem."

Blocked drain, casued by broken section.

"There was a blockage in the drain system at the outlet from the house, reported on a Saturday lunchtime. Bruce called back that afternoon and came 1st thing Monday morning and discovered that a section of the drain system required replacing. Work was started the next day that involved digging out and replacing the broken section. Work was completed quickly, and as neatly as could be expected. This is the second time I have used

There was a blockage in an outside drain that could not be cleared using rods or pressure washer. I looked online for drainage specialists, and picked Drainbusters at random… and I’m very glad I did.

"I was having old leaky guttering replaced, when we discovered that one of the drains was blocked. The roofing guys attempted to unblock it by rodding, and by using a pressure washer - to no avail.

I contacted Drainbusters out of desperation, and if I’m honest, with little confidence that they’d be any more successful. There was no reply, but they called me back within minutes, and I followed up by sending them a text outlining the problem, with a photo of the drain and my address. They agreed to visit later on the same day, and texted me when on their way.

I couldn’t have been more wrong in my original assumption! Drainbusters ‘unleashed’ seriously powerful pressure jets, and managed to blast out the blockage! I was told I was just ‘lucky’, but clearly the blockage required a much stronger jet than we’d used earlier.

I’m absolutely delighted with the result, and for the first time in about 15 years, that drain is now clear. I’d wholeheartedly recommend Drainbusters, who were really pleasant and easy to deal with; and I will hold onto their number for any future problems."
