This company were called in to install a replacement hot tap in my kitchen. Prior to this the company was unknown to me.

"I am delighted to report how helpful and supportive everyone was. The task was not straightforward as the manufacturer of the tap sent the wrong item and a delay then ensued. However everyone I dealt with at HGS remained calm and reassuring.

Eventually all turned out well. Matt, the plumber was very polite, diligent and thorough, not leaving until he was certain the new fitting worked properly. Mike, my contact with the office, was unfailingly positive and encouraging. Appointments made were reliably kept and I was always contacted ahead of time to confirm availability.

I have no hesitation in recommending this company, and will certainly use them again myself if/when the need arises.
Finally, I would congratulate Rob Girling (Managing Director)on having a great team working for him.

"As someone that trains customer service for a living I can tell you that HGS provide the best example of customer experience that I have witnessed in a long time. First-rate customer care, extremely friendly and reliable. My boiler broke down leaving me with no hot water or heating. HGS did everything possible to ensure it was up and running again in no time. I have been trying for a number of weeks to get an issue with a shower pump resolved at my elderly motherís property. Eventually I turned to Trusted Trader and rang HGS. I explained the situation to Rob and whilst maintaining my expectations that he may not be able to resolve the situation he nevertheless went to Motherís the following day. Fortunately the pump only needed re setting, which Rob was able to deal with, so job done! Thank you Rob.

Topped up water in boiler and explained how to do this ourselves in future.

"HGS supplied and fitted our gas combo boiler in 2016 and have maintained it since then. Recently we discovered we had no hot water or heating because the boiler water pressure had fallen after we bled the radiators. We tried to top up the water but could not do it. I phoned HGS at about 5pm, they couldnít do anything immediately but said they would try to help in the morning. About 9am an engineer arrived and quickly fixed the problem. He also explained what we needed to do if it occurred again. Iím very pleased with the quick and helpful service."

"Having found my old boiler was uneconomical to repair(12 years old) - HGS advised me on a suitable replacement and discussed fully the various options available to me and answered all questions I had concerning the installation.

I decided on the replacement boiler and asked for work to be carried out. HGS were able to supply the boiler and begin installation the following day, completing the job the morning after.


I was kept informed throughout the whole process; when work would begin, what would be done and the full cost.


The engineer showed up on time, was polite, friendly and efficient. His work was of a high standard, he explained what he was doing and answered my questions. When he had finished he cleaned up and left the area tidy, then explained fully how to use the new boiler and completed the paperwork.


I would be pleased to recommend HGS to anybody needing similar work carried out. Good job - thanks guys!

"We have used HGS for our last 3 annual boiler services and this year we also asked them to attend to two non-functioning radiators. After various procedures were carried out it was concluded that a full chemical power flush of the system was necessary. Throughout this work the engineer - Danny - was extremely thorough and courteous, constantly updating us on what he was doing. Similarly Rob in the office regularly phoned to update us on options available and their costs. We now have a system which is much more efficient and we cannot praise their work and level of customer service highly enough."

"Our boiler stopped working on Sunday 30/09/18, no display screen, I spoke to HGS on Monday morning, by Tuesday morning we had a new PCB fitted and boiler was up and running again.

Boiler service which brought up the expected fault I had been experiencing, which was the diverter valve and heat exchanger. Quoted between 330-415 plus vat depending on whether the heat exchanger needed replacing.

They have been incredible, arrived when they said they would, work carried out in a very efficient manner, engineer very friendly (important when my wife is at home with our little baby), and within the amount they said it would be.
