Replacement of isolation valve on cold feed to washing machine.

"Whilst installing a new washing machine for my mother, it became apparent that the isolation valve on the cold supply was not functioning correctly.
I called Marvin Nichols, listed on the NCC trusted traders site.
Fortunately, he had some time available that afternoon, and he was able to come and change the valve the same day. A stroke of luck!
He arrived as agreed and carried out the work efficiently, even helping to connect the new machine to the supply and ensuring no leakage.
The whole experience was excellent and he was a pleasure to deal with.
I couldn't recommend him highly enough."

"From the first time we met, Marvin was very personable, easy to talk to and gave us clear guidance on replacing our boiler and two radiators.
He provided a very timely quotation which was very reasonable compared to others we had received, and once we agreed to accept his quote was very helpful in agreeing a time for the work to be completed which suited both parties.
Marvin contacted us in the week before the expected start date to confirm the date previously agreed.
When Marvin arrived to commence the work he explained what would be happening and when. Marvin was very clean and tidy and completed the job within the time specified. We would have no hesitation in recommending Marvin to other potential customers."

"Great service from beginning to end, always arrived as agreed, first meeting to give advice on different options, which was really helpful, quote was given verbally at the time and followed up in writing, work carried out as agreed and on time. Leak in kitchen, plumbing query.

"Marvin answered our phonecall promptly and was very kind and efficient at arriving at our home on the same day. We had a bit of a confusing case, but he problem-solved and checked out all of the possibilities. Marvin also purchased and installed the part that we needed and we were back up and running in no time! My partner and I are first time home owners and complete novices where DIY is concerned, Marvin fixed the part for us and didn’t make us feel silly for not being sure how to do it ourselves! He explained the cause of the leak in a way we understood how it had come to be.
Marvin is very professional and went above and beyond for us - we will be keeping his card safe in case of a future need! Card payment option was very handy."

"We were really impressed with Marvin Nichols. Had a response to my enquiry within 24 hours and he managed to attend the following day.
There was a slight issue with our pipe work at the beginning but he managed to fix the problem and completed the work to a very high standard.

Install new gas boiler to replace existing central heating

"As an older lady living alone I felt very comfortable having Marvin in the house. He responded to my contacting him very promptly. (unlike others who did not get back to me)

He was very considerate, using appropriate coverings to the floor, shoes as well as face masks when communicating.
He was punctual and efficient and explained every aspect of the work involved, also the costs. Any questions I had were answered patiently to my satisfaction.
He has provided and registered the guarantee on my behalf and showed me water samples from the work.
I am extremely pleased and would not hesitate to recommend his company."

Old boiler and hot water tank replaced with new Baxi Combi boiler and three radiators replaced.

"I cannot recommend Marvin highly enough. He has done a fantastic job of replacing the old boiler with a new Combi boiler, and replacing three radiators which were not working well. Having lived for nearly two years with an inefficient system inherited from the previous owners of the house, it is great to be able to heat the house quickly and efficiently and keep all the rooms at a decent temperature.I only wish I'd taken the plunge sooner.
The job took three days and was far less disruptive than I had anticipated. From the initial visit through to the very last ( to go through all the instructions and info about the boiler with me), Marvin was extremely thorough, clear, calm, professional and courteous. He really took the time to explain the various options available. His email communication is swift and clear, and he is extremely punctual and reliable. He even cleaned the floor-which I had left a bit mucky in anticipation of a mess- I don't know how many heating engineers go out of their way to do that. Great job, great service, friendly chap= 100% recommended."
