We moved over three days from a house which was at the end of a as long drive. This made it impossible to use a big lorry so the move was done on smaller vans and everything was shuttled across to the new house

The team that actually moved us were excellent in explaining what they were going to do and they worked fast and efficiently but at the same time they recognised that it was a really stressful time for us and they were very accommodating."

The move was over two days from Somerset to Shropshire. The first day was packing the lorry and heading off. We packed the numerous boxes and the removal men dismantled the beds and one wardrobe. The men were very polite and expertly packed the lorry. The garage was last to be emptied where I had four valuable cycles which they expertly wrapped. They arrived at 9.30 and were done by 2.30pm. We cleaned up then headed off for a stay at a hotel for the night. Next day the lorry was outside the house at 9.30am and was expertly unloaded and completed by 3pm with beds and wardrobe reassembled. Removal men were caring and placed boxes in relevant rooms.

We used Britannia to move my mother from Somerset to Kent last week.

"All the dealings with Britannia were excellent from start to finish. Everything went smoothly, no breakages, everyone involved was extremely polite and helpful. The crew that arrived to pack and load my mother's belongings arrived early, and worked quietly and efficiently.

The following morning the same crew arrived early to unload the lorry and took the time to ensure that we were happy with the placing of all the heavy furniture before they left.

I have used Britannia once before, 10 years ago. Like then I cannot fault the service we've had and recommend them highly to anyone that is looking for an excellent removal service.

I have no complaints about any aspect of the service from Britianna. We could not have had a better service from anyone.

Move house, 2 miles down the road.

"Office staff really helpful and did their very best to accommodate us at short notice. Removal men were friendly and were understanding and good humoured despite a wait for the keys.

Prices are more expensive than a lot of other firms and I think the waiting charges were too high, especially as no one has control over when keys are released and the move in can commence."

All went well - no problems

"All three of the men who came were extremely helpful, good natured and polite. They took care with all that had to be removed and everything was placed correctly in the new property.
We had a wait before being able to collect the key to the new property but we all remained patient and in good spirits.
I would certainly recommend Britannia to any others requiring your services.
I cannot remember the names of all three men who came to do the removals - just Matt. I've always had a bad memory for names, even when I was teaching!"

"Very efficient service the guys were well presented and always cheerful. Nothing was too much trouble especially in the pouring rain. Also on day 2 we had a delay in getting the keys but once again when given the go ahead the guys got on with it. I would definitely recommend Britannia Lanes in the future."

4 bed house move 7 miles. Very professional and helpful service from start to finish. Having been let down by others I approached Britannia at short notice. They provided a pro forma to enable me to get a quote straightaway, and having filled this in I was pleased that it proved to be accurate. The boxes artived on time as did the drivers who then carried our the move with a minimum of fuss there were no breakages or even near misses. Great service all round.

"See above, plus the drivers made some very helpful suggestions on the day.regarding.how best to move them. They also sequenced the work to enable a follow on clean to be carried out without having to wait for the end.

3 large heavy cast iron radiators moved from Cheltenham and Wiltshire to Somerset.

"I needed 3 very heavy cast iron radiators moving from two different locations to my home address. Britannia Lanes gave me a very competitive quote for moving these and carried out the work the following day. They dedicated two people to the job and even called in extra support for one radiator which was particularly heavy. They moved them to the place I wanted them and were friendly and cheerful."

Move from Somerset to Perthshire in Scotland immediately after the New Year.

"Least stressful part of the whole move. Driver and mate arrived promptly on the morning of packing and were ready to leave by 1pm. Arrived in Scotland the next day around 2pm as planned and they called to confirm their progress so we knew where they were up to. Very polite and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Everything was packed appropriately and arrived undamaged and in good condition"

We moved a 2 bedroom apartment with study and utility room and many items still in boxes from a previous move from Clevedon to storage outside Bridgwater.

"Britannia were easy to get hold of to arrange an appointment to visit our property. The surveyor gave us a sense of confidence. We liked the easy nature of the company.


Our move wasn't too easy because the apartment is narrow, but is spread out over 4 floors with 3 flights of narrow stairs, with many packed boxes from our move from Thailand about 12 months before. There were a few items of furniture requiring dismantling in order to get them out of the front door.


The staff were very pleasant and efficient. They packed and moved half of the household out into storage on day one, mostly boxes, and on the second day moved the beds and heavier larger items of furniture.



They really do know how to pack the Luton vans and the storage facility very well to maximise space. A nice touch was using shrink wrap plastic that stuck to the carpets to protect them.

We were around to see them carefully handling our goods at both ends and I doubt very much that we will have any damage.

Worst weather for some weeks but the team did a great job. Some garden plants and stoneware had to be placed in a support van for delivery the week after the main move. The team together with the extra porters managed to get the household goods in at the new property. However, we discovered that a few items were slightly damaged and we will contact you about this later.

"The garden plants and stoneware arrived a day earlier than expected but there was damage to some plant pots and stoneware that fell over in transit due to not being adequately secured. We will contact you again about this.
Overall the move went well despite the appalling weather and the team worked very well together."
