House move from a first floor flat to a 2 bed house. Taking apart of king-size bed and large wardrobe, putting it back together in new house. New house had tight stairs and corners

"The home visit for the removal quote was quick and the gentleman was friendly and helpful, as I had never done a proper house move like this and I had no idea what to expect.
The quote came quickly after, and different options were provided in case I wanted a packing service or insurance.
Despite my move being delayed by a few months, the team were patient and always responded to my emails very quickly. They even got me booked in when I had only 9 days notice of the move.
Packing boxes, tape and wrapping paper were dropped off the day before, by some friendly guys who also were part of the moving crew the next day.

On moving day, they arrived early and were cheerful. They worked at lightening speed, but were efficient and respectful of my belongings. The team worked really well together and it made such a nice environment.

Upon unloading, again they worked at lightening speed, even navigating some tricky small door frames and tight corners. No scuffs or dents on any paintwork, they were ao careful. They constantly checked with me as to where I wanted things to go.


I just wanted to say a massive thank you to the whole of the crew. I felt so calm with them there sorting everything out and it didn't feel stressful at all. All of the crew were helpful and assertive. Absolutely worth every penny and a whole lot more. If you are deciding whether to move yourself or pay the money for movers, I would wholeheartedly say go ahead and book GoodMove, it will make a ton of difference for you on moving day."

I needed a king-size four-poster bed and mattress to be moved from Epping to Felixstowe. The job included dismantling the bed to get it out of my house and rebuilding it when it was delivered to my family member''s house.

"I came across GoodMove when searching on the internet for a removal firm, and chose them because they are based equal distances from my home in Epping and my family member's home in Felixstowe.
The people I spoke to on the phone to get a price for the job were very helpful and it was really straightforward to make a booking and complete the paperwork.
The two men who arrived to collect the bed were efficient, punctual and polite.
The bed was quickly dismantled and loaded onto the van. It was rebuilt in no time when it arrived at the destination address.

It has been a positive experience to deal with GoodMove and I felt that I could rely on them to carry out the job exactly as I had asked.
I would not hesitate to use GoodMove again,should the need arise.
I cannot comment on the price I was quoted for the job as I did not seek quotes from other companies. I would point out, however, that I had the option of a lower price if the removal was not time-critical and could be carried out in conjunction with another removal."

The removal chaps were very good very polite. Nothing was too much trouble. They did everything we totally expected of them. Couldn’t praise them enough. Unfortunately the company as a hole. I would not recommend as we were completely ripped off over the price.

"We were given a price for moving and asked if we wanted to take advantage of paying a £72 waiver to cover the chaps waiting for us to get the keys to our new property but at 3 o’clock we got a phone call to say that that time waver had run out and because we had to wait another hour and a half for the keys to our new property. We were charged an extra £430 which we thought was absolutely disgusting and feel that we had been completely ripped off by this company. I would not recommend this company to anybody. Nothing was explained to us by the estimator or the chap that took our booking or the girl in the office that took our money, would not use good move ever again."

Moving from a 5 bedroom house to a 4 bedroom house. Some large heavy items including a Cross Trainer. The removal team were superb!

"The team were going to remove our furniture out over a 2 day period and move into the new property on the 3rd day. The team were so efficient and fast, everything was removed from our old property in the first day. We were absolutely delighted with the team, they were so polite, friendly and a special thank you to the team leader Jamie. He was great, and helped us on the 3rd day with some last minute items we could not pack into our car. We could not have been more satisfied with the whole process."

Local move 4 bed house to 3 bed bungalow Full packing and moving service Jan 2025

"Extremely happy with the service, we kept moving our date due to solicitors. However good I’ve were accommodating and helpful during their stressful process.

We opted for packing service. Highly recommend!

They came 2 days before and apologised they couldn’t come the day before. But this was fine with us and a lot better than living in boxes for weeks.

They packed a full 4 bed house in5 hours. We were so relaxed we even went out for lunch once they have gone.
They kept out our supplies and anyth8ng we might need, I had done us all an overnight bag. This worked perfectly

On the day they finished packing and moving us out very quickly. We were moving to our new house by 12. They dismantled all our children’s beds/ shelves and re built then in the correct rooms.

They set out the furniture sensibly and a lot hasn’t been moved since.

They even removed some of the previous occupiers furniture before we could move in to help us place our furniture.

They were all respectful, chatty and nice to get on with. They were easy to work with and so helpful.

I would recommend to anyone, and 100% recommend the packing service too.

Made a very stressful day far easier and nicer,

Moved within same area, guys who helped move were very professional bar one comment that I personally overheard but let slide on the day.

"Generally I couldn't have asked for more from goodmove, the guys who helped us move were generally very kind and extremely efficient in terms of packing things in the van and unloading at the destination.

The guys asked where items wanted to be put upon arriving at the new property. I had one issue which I actually let slide on the day as I was busy with the move and was dealing with other issues on the day. I don't know the name of the mover (and to be honest don't care that much) but I did hear one of the them say something along the lines of "we know who wears the trousers" in relation to me and my wife, the lead mover (who was great) then said something similar to "shh he's behind you". My wife did hear it more clearly and I was a bit lost for words that someone would say it so let it slide but did want to draw it to your attention as it did ruin it slightly.

Generally the service was great, did not appreciate the comment however."

Move from 3 bed semi to 4 bed detached. Move out house down footpath so bit of a trek between house and lorry. New property old with some tight spaces.

"This is the 3rd time I have used good move and the 3rd time I have been really impressed with their quality of work, their efficiency and their friendly manner. They make the move a stress free relaxed experience. They organised suitably sized vehicles to comfortably fit our property."

Due to my wife''s illness getting worse, she is now a full time wheelchair user. Because of this, we had to renovate our property to allow my wife access to all rooms. This meant putting our furniture into storage for protection for 2 months.

"All of the team were polite, friendly and professional. They looked after our furniture with great care. Although we didn't have a great deal of furniture to be put into storage whilst our renovation was taking place, all of our furniture was packed carefully and respectfully.

I can highly recommend GoodMove as they handled our needs with care, respect, professionalism and with a friendly manor.
From start to finish we were extremely well looked after.
