A local move, bungalow to bungalow, self packing.

"Jamie and his team of four other guys turned up promptly in the morning and set to work loading the lorry after assessing what was required. Being a rainy day, extra care was taken in positioning the lorry as close as possible to the property and mats were used to protect the flooring.

They were fast but very caring of our belongings and asked questions if unsure of anything.

We had quite a wait before completion, but kept in contact for updates. We had paid for the two hour waiver, which we would definitely recommend, and were in danger of additional charges. However, George, the depot manager, ensured the guys were supporte, if needed, in unloading to avoid this. However, Jamie and his team were so efficient and quick, we were seated this cost, thank you.

The whole team were super friendly, helpful and professional and help made a stressful day far more manageable. We seriously could not have done it without them. We thoroughly recommend Goodmove.

"Good Move provided an excellent service from start to finish. The team were experienced and well managed throughout.

They arrived early, protected the properties at both ends and kept us fully informed during the move.

Having moved home many times, this was the smoothest move we've completed.

The move involved a large amount of furniture and numerous personal possessions and required 3 lorries from different depots and a 4-day move in total. Our previous removals firm had let us down and we were incredibly pleased to find a firm that could move us with less than 1 week’s notice.

"We were really impressed with the fact that our move was catered for with very little notice in spite of the fact that we had such a large volume of items to be moved.

The staff we met from the different depots were all absolutely fantastic and were all really friendly and incredibly helpful. They even went out of their way to help us pack our remaining items on the day of the move when we were running out of time. We were really impressed with each and every one of them."

Standard house move, lots of contents, nothing of significant value. Kitchen pack by Goodmove.

"The move started well on Tuesday when Lewis and Ashton arrived on time and got stuck in straight away packing and moving boxes. Later in the day, Simon and his team arrived and started loading up the two trucks, not finishing until both were full. On Wednesday, Simon, Finn and their teams turned up, completed loading and were running filling away by 11am. The next time we saw them was at 2.30pm at the new property where they got on with the unloading in awful weather.

Throughout, all the team members were polite, respectful and very hard-working. Nothing was too much trouble and they made an extraordinary experience for us seem very normal through their calm and considered approach.

Particular mention must go to Lewis, Ashton, Finn and Simon. Finn was particularly obliging and excellent client facing, whilst Simon lead the packing teams in the way that only a natural leader can. We would recommend Goodmove to anyone."

Local move. We had the packing and the removal service.

"We had wanted the packing and removal service. The quote was very detailed and it made clear what we needed to do prior to the move to make it as easy as possible. Originally we did not think that the purchase and sale would coincide so I organised a part move. As the date approached I realised that we would need to move everything. Angela was very reassuring and ensured that everything would be moved.
On the first day, Jamie and the team arrived early in the morning and packed everything they needed to which left me time to clean the house. ( We liked the fact that they use paper to pack rather than plastic.)
The following morning Jamie arrived with a second van, and additional team members, to complete the move. Upon arrival at the new house, they moved everything into the rooms we wanted and remade the bed. It was a wet morning so they ensured that the carpet was protected. They ensured that we were thoroughly happy with the location of the furniture before they left.
While we were unpacking they were able to take some of the boxes and packaging that we no longer needed. They will collect the rest when we have completed.
The whole experience went very smoothly, and the team were exceptionally polite and helpful. We would definitely recommend the service offered by Goodmove."

"Excellent service from start to finish. The quotation assessment was carried out thoroughly and carefully and the quote was received promptly. We had a full pack move. The packing team were careful, efficient and courteous. Everything went according to plan and on time. Our removal crew worked very hard in abysmal weather to unload. Everything was placed where we asked for it to go. Care was taken not to damage anything and to protect the carpets. I would wholeheartedly recommend GoodMove Colchester."

GoodMove were asked to pack as well as move all of our furniture and other items. Packing was mostly completed on day 1 and the remainder and the removal of all furniture and items to the new home was completed by mid-day on day 2. There were two packers on day 1 and three packers/removers on day 2.

"We have used GoodMove for each of our house moves for many years and each time the experience has been both efficient and friendly, with GoodMove asked to pack as well as move all of our furniture and other items. This time was equally good, there have been no problems and we thoroughly recommend them."

"Good Move were first class in every respect.
We enjoyed meeting Guy who came to our house and prepared the quotation.
The team in the office were easy to deal with, friendly and looked after us with our extra queries/requests

We have just moved back to Suffolk from France. GoodMove moved us there a few years ago and we have returned via a backload through a White & Company team from Southampton. The first part of the load was delivered to our new home and the remainder into a nearby storage facility.

"In every move - to France and back - the service we have received has been outstanding and the personnel involved brilliant!
We are not planning to move again, but if that circumstance changes we would not consider using any other company other than GoodMove to organise it.
Fantastic service, great organisation, and terrific people.

The company was always ready to answer any queries.
The staff were always friendly, helpful and polite.
They know their business and take great care of your belongings.
The teams on the lorries work so hard - even when the temperatures were in the mid 30sC.

I had a very specific problem which Goodmove was able to expertly solve. I’d had a large range cooker delivered which could not be taken up the stairs to my kitchen as it was very heavy and contrary to the suppliers health and safety rules! I was advised to get the experts in and was so relieved when Goodmove were able to not only take the new cooker up the stairs but also take the old one down!

"I can’t over emphasise what a difficult task this was on a staircase with two turns but Pete and Steve quietly and confidently had no problem in moving the cookers. I found them both reassuring, courteous and efficient, they protected both the floors and stairs and made my day!

The only thing I would add is that , whilst I was delighted to have the job done so quickly by fitting it in early before other removal obligations , and this is very “picky “, unfortunately the guys were not told it was a 7 am arrival time so did not arrive until 8.20 but they were so efficient that I’m sure they caught up.

I had very reassuring communication with the office throughout and think it was an amazing service."
