Local move. We had the packing and the removal service.

"We had wanted the packing and removal service. The quote was very detailed and it made clear what we needed to do prior to the move to make it as easy as possible. Originally we did not think that the purchase and sale would coincide so I organised a part move. As the date approached I realised that we would need to move everything. Angela was very reassuring and ensured that everything would be moved.
On the first day, Jamie and the team arrived early in the morning and packed everything they needed to which left me time to clean the house. ( We liked the fact that they use paper to pack rather than plastic.)
The following morning Jamie arrived with a second van, and additional team members, to complete the move. Upon arrival at the new house, they moved everything into the rooms we wanted and remade the bed. It was a wet morning so they ensured that the carpet was protected. They ensured that we were thoroughly happy with the location of the furniture before they left.
While we were unpacking they were able to take some of the boxes and packaging that we no longer needed. They will collect the rest when we have completed.
The whole experience went very smoothly, and the team were exceptionally polite and helpful. We would definitely recommend the service offered by Goodmove."

"I must give Good Move 10/10 for all aspects of the move. The staff in the office were extremely helpful and efficient. The packers were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them, both when packing and unloading. They were very helpful and thoughtful when unloading and helping to move furniture around in the new property.

"Excellent service from start to finish. The quotation assessment was carried out thoroughly and carefully and the quote was received promptly. We had a full pack move. The packing team were careful, efficient and courteous. Everything went according to plan and on time. Our removal crew worked very hard in abysmal weather to unload. Everything was placed where we asked for it to go. Care was taken not to damage anything and to protect the carpets. I would wholeheartedly recommend GoodMove Colchester."

GoodMove were asked to pack as well as move all of our furniture and other items. Packing was mostly completed on day 1 and the remainder and the removal of all furniture and items to the new home was completed by mid-day on day 2. There were two packers on day 1 and three packers/removers on day 2.

"We have used GoodMove for each of our house moves for many years and each time the experience has been both efficient and friendly, with GoodMove asked to pack as well as move all of our furniture and other items. This time was equally good, there have been no problems and we thoroughly recommend them."

We have just moved back to Suffolk from France. GoodMove moved us there a few years ago and we have returned via a backload through a White & Company team from Southampton. The first part of the load was delivered to our new home and the remainder into a nearby storage facility.

"In every move - to France and back - the service we have received has been outstanding and the personnel involved brilliant!
We are not planning to move again, but if that circumstance changes we would not consider using any other company other than GoodMove to organise it.
Fantastic service, great organisation, and terrific people.

The company was always ready to answer any queries.
The staff were always friendly, helpful and polite.
They know their business and take great care of your belongings.
The teams on the lorries work so hard - even when the temperatures were in the mid 30sC.

I had a very specific problem which Goodmove was able to expertly solve. I’d had a large range cooker delivered which could not be taken up the stairs to my kitchen as it was very heavy and contrary to the suppliers health and safety rules! I was advised to get the experts in and was so relieved when Goodmove were able to not only take the new cooker up the stairs but also take the old one down!

"I can’t over emphasise what a difficult task this was on a staircase with two turns but Pete and Steve quietly and confidently had no problem in moving the cookers. I found them both reassuring, courteous and efficient, they protected both the floors and stairs and made my day!

The only thing I would add is that , whilst I was delighted to have the job done so quickly by fitting it in early before other removal obligations , and this is very “picky “, unfortunately the guys were not told it was a 7 am arrival time so did not arrive until 8.20 but they were so efficient that I’m sure they caught up.

I had very reassuring communication with the office throughout and think it was an amazing service."

House move from a first floor flat to a 2 bed house. Taking apart of king-size bed and large wardrobe, putting it back together in new house. New house had tight stairs and corners

"The home visit for the removal quote was quick and the gentleman was friendly and helpful, as I had never done a proper house move like this and I had no idea what to expect.
The quote came quickly after, and different options were provided in case I wanted a packing service or insurance.
Despite my move being delayed by a few months, the team were patient and always responded to my emails very quickly. They even got me booked in when I had only 9 days notice of the move.
Packing boxes, tape and wrapping paper were dropped off the day before, by some friendly guys who also were part of the moving crew the next day.

On moving day, they arrived early and were cheerful. They worked at lightening speed, but were efficient and respectful of my belongings. The team worked really well together and it made such a nice environment.

Upon unloading, again they worked at lightening speed, even navigating some tricky small door frames and tight corners. No scuffs or dents on any paintwork, they were ao careful. They constantly checked with me as to where I wanted things to go.


I just wanted to say a massive thank you to the whole of the crew. I felt so calm with them there sorting everything out and it didn't feel stressful at all. All of the crew were helpful and assertive. Absolutely worth every penny and a whole lot more. If you are deciding whether to move yourself or pay the money for movers, I would wholeheartedly say go ahead and book GoodMove, it will make a ton of difference for you on moving day."

I needed a king-size four-poster bed and mattress to be moved from Epping to Felixstowe. The job included dismantling the bed to get it out of my house and rebuilding it when it was delivered to my family member''s house.

"I came across GoodMove when searching on the internet for a removal firm, and chose them because they are based equal distances from my home in Epping and my family member's home in Felixstowe.
The people I spoke to on the phone to get a price for the job were very helpful and it was really straightforward to make a booking and complete the paperwork.
The two men who arrived to collect the bed were efficient, punctual and polite.
The bed was quickly dismantled and loaded onto the van. It was rebuilt in no time when it arrived at the destination address.

It has been a positive experience to deal with GoodMove and I felt that I could rely on them to carry out the job exactly as I had asked.
I would not hesitate to use GoodMove again,should the need arise.
I cannot comment on the price I was quoted for the job as I did not seek quotes from other companies. I would point out, however, that I had the option of a lower price if the removal was not time-critical and could be carried out in conjunction with another removal."

The removal chaps were very good very polite. Nothing was too much trouble. They did everything we totally expected of them. Couldn’t praise them enough. Unfortunately the company as a hole. I would not recommend as we were completely ripped off over the price.

"We were given a price for moving and asked if we wanted to take advantage of paying a £72 waiver to cover the chaps waiting for us to get the keys to our new property but at 3 o’clock we got a phone call to say that that time waver had run out and because we had to wait another hour and a half for the keys to our new property. We were charged an extra £430 which we thought was absolutely disgusting and feel that we had been completely ripped off by this company. I would not recommend this company to anybody. Nothing was explained to us by the estimator or the chap that took our booking or the girl in the office that took our money, would not use good move ever again."

"The team were going to remove our furniture out over a 2 day period and move into the new property on the 3rd day. The team were so efficient and fast, everything was removed from our old property in the first day. We were absolutely delighted with the team, they were so polite, friendly and a special thank you to the team leader Jamie. He was great, and helped us on the 3rd day with some last minute items we could not pack into our car. We could not have been more satisfied with the whole process."
