For a variety of reasons, there was a lot of delay and uncertainty about our move
It was a long distance move from the south coast to Cumbria.
 

"From start to finish our experience with Curtiss was excellent. In fact they were the best thing about our move! Nothing was ever too difficult or too much trouble and all of the team were very supportive and patient when we had repeated problems with our move. Move from 2 bed end of terraced to 4 bed detached. Quite a few big items of furniture including a delicate range oven and 92kg treadmill!

"They were very responsive from our first enquiry and came round at a time that was convenient to us to quote to move our items.

The actual quote came through in a very timely manner and any questions we had were answered efficiently.

We had to book at the last minute as we had issues exchanging in the chain so technically when we booked we were already within their minimum pay in full period, but they were still so helpful and let us book a slot.

Our movers Nigel and Sam (I think) were fantastic. They arrived in time on the day, were very efficient and careful with our belongings. We also had a few laughs and chats throughout the day which made the whole experience as relaxing as it could be.

We had an issue with the bottom drawer of our chest of drawers which Sam was very conscious about. We said to him that the drawers are old so not to worry about it, but he still took it upon himself to take it apart, take all the items out the drawer and fix it!! It was probably better than when it was in our old house!

Would highly recommend."

From a house in Hampshire to an apartment in London. The move included a variety of items, including a painting and a piano that needed special care. Everything was loaded on the first day and delivered on the next.

"The experience was courteous, prompt and professional from beginning to end. Someone came to survey the house, and then we received the quote promptly. It was similar to (a little more than) another quote, but our experience with this company was more professional and it gave us more confidence in the service to be delivered.

Tracey in the office handled the in between stage very promptly and professionally and she called on the day to make sure everything was going to plan.

The two movers were Nigel and Callum and they both did an excellent job of loading everything onto the van. We had arranged to pack most things ourselves, with the exception of particular items which needed more care. This was all handled very well.

They arrived promptly the next day and everything was unloaded with the same care and attention.

Couldn’t recommend them more highly.

My house move was complicated, I had unexpectedly to go into temporary accommodation and have my house contents stored for two weeks at very short notice while the solicitors resolved some last-minute complex legal issues.

"My house move was complicated, I had unexpectedly to go into temporary accommodation and have my house contents stored for two weeks at very short notice while the solicitors resolved some last-minute complex legal issues.

The removals team were punctual, friendly and professional and they couldn't do enough to make sure I was happy with everything. I opted for a full packing service, the team arrived the day before my move and they took exceptional care with all my belongings, especially my extensive crockery and glassware collections, to ensure that everything was packed safely and at no risk of damage during transit.

On removal out of storage and into my new house, the boxes were placed where I wanted them and, after the move, I unpacked the boxes in my own time before they were collected. Everything arrived in the same condition as it before it had been packed and stored, absolutely no losses or breakages.

The last-minute complications to my move were handled swiftly and professionally by the admin and management teams. This meant that I didn't need to worry about my removals at any point during the whole process, and I was particularly grateful for the confidence and reassurance that this gave me at such a stressful time."

Move from 5 bedroom house with garden to 3 bedroom flat. Large number of books already packed plus many of rest of household items. Removers packed kitchen and breakable items including lamps and pictures.Some items packed preceding day. A number of furniture items including three beds and two sofas were being left for new owners. Removers to dispose of one mattress. Moved distance was two miles. Cost of mattress disposal has not been included in price below

"I was hoping to move at least a month earlier than eventually I did. The estimate was very reasonable. An initial misunderstanding between me and my insurance company meant that transit insurance had to be added to the quote. Boxes were delivered two weeks before the move and I did not have to request them. The pre-packing and on the day packing were achieved within the expected time frame but I think there was more for the removers to pack than had been anticipated and they had to work quickly. Keys were made available very soon after arrival at the new property. Unloading to a first floor flat took longer than anticipated - although I had alerted the company to the location of the flat - and the removers had difficulty in getting some items up the stairs. They were diligent and persistent however and retained a cheerful and purposeful demeanour. Their stamina amazed me!

We moved from a four bedroom house to a five bedroom house about twenty minutes away. We had a lot of heavy garden pots and some precious breakable items.

"The whole process was absolutely brilliant with Curtiss, we highly recommend them and would use them again. We had to change dates a couple of times but they were so patient, understanding and helpful. We dealt with Tracey in the office, and Gary the manager, and both took all the stress out of it brilliantly.
They gave us a great price and it was amazing value for money. The guys that packed our beloved home up before the move were lovely, and handled everything with care. They asked lots of questions to make sure they did things as we wanted, and informed us of what they were doing as they went along. Really lovely people, very respectful but good fun and friendly. Amazed at how hard they worked, and through the hottest days in recorded UK history!
They brought everything to the new house in smaller vans because we moved to a narrow road, which worked really. Again worked so hard, and so quickly, making it a dream for us.
