We left our large family home in March and needed a storage facility as well as the actual removals. We know MJ Christopher’s so asked for a quote and went ahead. They loaded the vans in containers, extremely well protected and they went into storage for about 4-5 months. We moved into our new house a few days ago and we were booked in for them to bring our furniture and belongings back to us. They were helpful in moving items around the house when they didn’t suit or didn’t fit. Certain large pieces of furniture they carried to the garage so we could sell them on when they didn’t fit in the new house.

House contents and garden potted plants from Dorset to Cornwall, with a tranship service at the Cornwall end due to the restricted access. Interesting aspect: move undertaken during a heatwave.

"Second occasion of using this company due to the excellent service received on the first occasion. Was not disappointed second time round.

The team were punctual, polite, calm and orderly, diligent and hard-working and took obvious care with the contents and with the outgoing and incoming homes. Methodical and respectful throughout.

The weather conditions were extremely arduous due to the heatwave but the team simply carried on professionally. There were no signs of rushing to get the job done quickly. The pace remained steady and controlled which was reassuring to us during this stressful house move.

We moved from Cambridgeshire to Cornwall and cannot fault the service we received from Mike, Lewis and Nick. They worked very hard in the July heat and were professional in their service delivery. Prior to the move Mike conducted a site visit to check access restrictions and arranged a trans-ship. We would highly recommend MJ Christopher’s to carry out a stress free move.

"I would highly recommend this company, they moved us from Cambridgeshire to Cornwall and provided a professional service.
Zena took my initial enquiry and became our point of contact.

She answered all of my questions patiently and provided a timeline for moving day. As we had restricted access to both the property we were leaving and the same at our new home, Mike visited site and quoted for a trans-ship service.

The team were polite, friendly and worked very hard in the July heat.

We would have no hesitation to recommend this removal company if moving to or from Cornwall.

We moved a mile from our previous address in Newquay. Our belongings were put into storage and we rented for 4 months and Christophers accommodated us to rearrange our removal dates a couple of times,

"Christophers were very thorough. Very presentable removal trucks . The workforce were very smart on appearance. Our belongings were well protected and loaded on the their trucks responsibly. Our move was to another county so our items were packed up on one day and delivered the following morning.

"The move went very smoothly over 2 days as we moved counties. The staff were very professional, polite and attentive throughout the whole process.

Although we packed the majority of the items, the rest was packaged very well, including a very old grandfather clock.

On arrival at our new property great care was given to establish exactly where we needed things put and nothing was too much trouble."

We were moved from Cubert to St.Austell. In addition to the full house furnishings and boxed items, you also moved a large number (about thirty) plants in large pots which also required a long footpath access to gain access to the rear garden of our new property. A second smaller van was almost completely filled by the plants alone.

"As a recently retired surveyor and estate agent, we have had considerable experience in the business of working with removal companies. Personally we have moved house nine times and always used a removal company.

We can say without reservation that M J Christophers and Son have been the most professional and caring company we have ever used both before and during the move.

We had become used to elements of stress on ourselves from removers on the actual day of the move but not on this occassion. The move combined with so many plants in addition, was far from easy and all day Mike Christophers and his staff acted with complete professionalism and not a single moan (as far as we knew!) Although we did our own packing, the standard of packaging for a large number of delicate items was excellent.

I did value the benefit of using a BAR member for our own protection and wish to thank Mike and his staff for their hard work and diligence."

Moved from a 3 storey flat with a large and heavy bed frame and a 2 and 3 piece sofa. Which was difficult as the door frame to hallway was at an awkward angle. All stored and kept with there compound. Till the day of the move. Moved all items in quick and very professional. Made moving, storing and then receiving my belongings a lot less stressful.

"Once contacted and member of the team came and noted all items in which he was able to give me a quote for the move, store and then deliver, which I thought was very fair. On the day the team arrived and immediately got to work wrapping all breakable items and moved all boxes from the flat to the van. Very quickly and professionally. Items were stored in a safe location for a couple of months until I arranged delivery.

In the delivery day. They arrived and started unpacking. Sheets was layed in the hall for protection. Each item they asked where and promptly placed. It was done in brilliant in a timely manor.

Moved from a large house to storage with Christopher’s then on to a bungalow 7 months later.

"I have used Christopher’s previously on two occasions and time after time they have delivered a faultless move with no damages and a fantastic team of removers on the day.

They genuinely care and take pride equally they are very organised and keep a clear record of storage that enabled us to request specific items on the day being unloaded first. The support in the office is also outstanding and very efficient.

I can highly recommend Christopher’s from the numerous occasions we have used their service. They are simply excellent."

I moved from one side of town to the other. My living space was upstairs and I had a piano so that had to be brought downstairs. Parking was a bit tight due to work going on in neighbouring apartment building.

"M.J. Christopher’s in Newquay carried out my house move efficiently, quickly and with great professionalism. I would definitely use them again should the need arise. I was impressed with the speed of the move and how careful they were. They were friendly and made sure everything was where I wanted it. Removed from property to storage and moved to new address at much later date. Handled all aspects with great care and attention to detail. Accommodating when needing access to storage. When moving into newly renovated property good care was taken. No items or areas damaged at all. Dismantled large heavy dining table and reassembled in place. Ensured items were put in the room required and were happy to move around.

"MJ Christopher were professional right from initial phonecall to the final item in place. They were clear about costs, additional options and storage.

During moving they were careful, dismantled items with care, secured fixings so could not be lost. They were friendly, approachable and nothing felt like too much trouble. Our house move ended up complicated and took a lot longer, they were able to give us access to the storage unit to collect some items.

Our move in to new property was delayed and they were flexible enabling us to change the delivery date. I could not recommend them enough."

Moving two sofas and a dressing table between two local addresses. A small but challenging job if you’re not professional.

"It was a decision whether to use a ‘man and van’ to move the small amount of furniture we had or to use a more professional company given a couple of challenges at each location. After requesting a quote from Christopher’s it was clear as soon as they arrived we’d made the right decision. Nick and Lewis were impeccable in their time keeping and presentation. From the moment they arrive my confidence in them was assured.

They were polite and respectful of both properties and the furniture taking time to wrap and protect the items and also our front door to ensure no damage at any point.

Whilst it was only a small job for them the only time they stopped was to admire the stunning view at our first location and even asked if it was ok to take a photo, which I was only too happy to agree to.

They left both locations clean and tidy and even put the cushions back on the sofas having put them in the correct places in the lounge.

We were delighted with every aspect and they did Christopher’s proud. We would always recommend them and we will use them again i have absolutely no doubt."
