I normally don’t do reviews, but we had a some what complicated 3 day move with MJ Christopher’s, and would like to say what a very professional move it was.

"The two teams of Mike (The Owner), Nick, Lewis and Josh worked very hard, at times in torrential rain. What ever problem arrived, it was no trouble to solve, no huffs and puffs, just absolutely thorough professionalism throughout the three days, even with the delay of getting the keys which does happen, they completed the move that afternoon and came back for the third day to complete the delivery. We had an expensive dining table, and they could not get it through the front or rear doors, but carefully took it apart and rebuilt it our new dining room, just cannot praise Mike and his team enough, thank you Mike, Nick, Lewis and Josh.

From the initial enquiry for a quotation through to the delivery of my home cont.ents to my bungalow in Cornwall the service provided was faultless! The form provided to obtain a quote was thorough and the company followed up with a phone call to clarify everything. The price agreed was competitive with other quotes received. I chose the firm because they were Cornish and I believed from the quality of service and information provided gave me confidence in them.

"Throughout the process communication was excellent - staff in the Newquay office were friendly, helpful and efficient. I was phoned on the day of removal about 30 minutes prior to them arriving and throughout the process communication was great!

Staff were friendly and took great care with my possessions and loaded their huge vehicle van quickly, before departing for Cornwall. Mirrors, television s were all expertly wrapped and wardrobes provided for clothing on hangers. Delivery was a day later and possessions were transferred onto a smaller vehicle because of concerns over ease of access to my property - the company’s planning was so thorough!

I have no hesitation in recommending the firm, and would happily use them again if I decided to make another move!

Thank you for making a stressful experience happen so smoothly.

Ours was a local move within the same town from a four bedroom house to a three bedroom bungalow. Nothing special to write about; easy access at both properties, nothing elaborate to move just too much stuff for a downsize.

"M J Christophers provided us with an excellent service throughout the process. From initial enquiry, through survey, to eventual move which was a long time after, thanks to the whole buying and selling process these days. Even when moving day was approaching, then being switched, then hanging in the balance right to the last minute the firm were helpful and understanding. No doubt due to experience of the housing market. The ladies in the office were very understanding and helpful.

Moving day was easy with the help of the three man crew who arrived early, were cheery and polite and packed our belongings meticulously into their very well presented lorry. We couldn't believe they got it all in.
Unpacking was smooth and swift, despite there being a delay waiting for solicitors along the chain to complete the process. This meant the crew finishing work later than they should, but if they were bothered by this they never let on. Everything was placed where we asked and ready for us to unpack. No breakages or damage caused to any of our property.

The whole moving process was made a lot less stressful by using M J Christophers and I would definitely recommend their service. Well worth the money to get the job done so professionally."

"The team from MJ Christophers were so good. Four people came to help load the vehicle and the two of them unloaded at the other end. They were friendly, helpful, efficient and respectful of our belongings. We knew what expect on the day as Mike had clearly explained this when he came to give a quotation. We were very happy with the service and everyone worked hard to make it a successful and smooth operation on move day. Empty 4 bedroom detached house. Packed into containers. Stored for 3 months. Transported to the other end of the country. Unpacked including putting beds together. All furniture placed in rooms I designated.

"The team were all professionally turned out. They were prompt on arrival and worked carefully and continuously until my property was cleared of my possessions. They took great care during this process. My goods were than safely stored for 3 months, before delivery at the other end of the country - where equally great care was taken. As an elderly couple who needed to move from a terraced house with awkward narrow stairs to a bungalow we viewed the whole process of moving home with trepidation. We chose to opt for a full packing service. As our new home was only a short distance away in the same village it was made possible for the move to happen over two days, packing and moving the downstairs (lounge and kitchen) on the first day and the upstairs ( bedrooms etc) on day two. This made the whole process much easier for us.

"Our particular needs were listened to respectfully and noted carefully. The staff involved in the removal could not have been nicer, more helpful and hardworking. All items, large and small were carefully packed and transported. The wardrobe had to be dismantled to be taken downstairs. This proved to be more challenging than anticipated and dismantling and reassembly took time. The staff gave it their best shot, determined not to leave us with the wardrobe only partially reconstructed. We wonder if more could have been done in advance to help the staff tackle an unfamiliar piece of furniture?"

Having gone some way with removal enquiries with one of the ''Big'' firms, and finding it stressful, I was recommended to M J Christophers by neighbours, and I''m so glad. Friendly and helpful and efficient throughout - I''ll use them again, and am happy to pass on the recommendation.

"The bigger removal firm I first approached seemed not to understand my particular needs, whereas M J Christophers were just right. It seemed we were 'on the same page'. The forms were not difficult. The system was professional without being unnecessarily rigid. I was in the right hands.

A 4-bed detached home move from Berkshire to Cornwall. The removal company didn’t have capacity to pack for us (given the short notice/timescales) but providing a basic pack of packing materials which we collected from them the week before the move.

"We had used the same removers for my mother’s house move 5 years ago. We wanted to make sure we could book MJ Christopher and Son for our move too. They worked with us in a very short timescale and although they were too busy to pack for us they managed to accommodate moving us. They were very helpful and always asked questions if they were unsure about where anything should go.
They were very careful and quick. We never want to move again but if we did I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

We only moved half a mile, but the logistics & work involved were the same as most moves. We moved to a similar size property.

"The team were amazing. They were relaxed & friendly, but very professional, & worked incredibly hard. Nothing was too much trouble, & they took a great deal of care with all our items, even down to covering the front door to prevent any damage going in & out.
All sofa’s & beds were protected with covers, & the wardrobe containers for hanging clothes were such a time saver as we didn’t have to pack or fold the clothes.

"From the start Mike was very professional submitting a reasonable quote quickly. Zena and Debra were great whenever we phoned up with a delay and were very helpful and considerate when this happened.
