Removal from Cornwall to MJ Christopher storage facility. Then removal from storage to new house on the south coast.

"Great company to deal with. The office staff are friendly and professional. The furniture was wrapped very well and logged as it went into storage. Mike and his team were very courteous and the removal of furniture was stress free. A large wardrobe was taken apart and would be remade once in a new home. Once our new home was purchased, we agreed a moving date and MJ Christopher delivered all of our furniture to the south coast. Two removal men arrived who were courteous and professional. As the house was topsy turvy two large pieces of furniture were difficult to take upstairs but luckily there was a building team on-site who could help out. The men took a long time to reconstruct our wardrobe but made no complaints. A very successful day."

My move was from Cornwall to Northumberland.

"M.J. Christophers had moved our furniture etc for my late husband and myself many, many years ago. They are a well known family firm in Cornwall and so I obviously decided on their help for a long distance move to be near to my daughter. They really are so experienced and take such good care of everything from start to finish that anyone who might feel stressed at the thought of this part of an impending move is just wasting energy. Just relax and let them get on with it. I am getting on in years and found their stamina amazing and all I did was to offer a cup of tea !
Everything was beautifully packed and cared for and so I would highly recommend them."

M J Christophers & Sons were to move our furniture from Cornwall to Oxfordshire in one trip, however a family health emergency at the last minute meant they had to store our furniture before moving it to Oxfordshire.

Packing up the house; removals to storage facility; 5 months of storage; removal from storage facility to house in Spain

"We obtained three quotations for our move. Christophers weren't the cheapest but gave us the most confidence that they would look after our belongings.
Their proposal was clearly set out and gave us the opportunity to increase the liability insurance in line with the value of our belongings.
The packing of our items was completed with careful attention to protecting our belongings during the moves and while they were in storage. We didn't have any breakages or damage to any items. Out items arrived in the same condition as when they were packed and loaded. The storage facility is obviously climactically controlled - no issues with damp etc.
Communication with the office staff was excellent from start to finish.
We would highly recommend MJ Christophers to look after your move."

House move over three days

"We have used M J Christophers and Son several times over many years. They are always our go to company.

Zena in the office is always very helpful looking at potential dates for us and advising if they are receiving other enquiries for the same dates.

Mike and his team are always very efficient on the day, arriving on time in smart uniforms. They export pack as required and take good care protecting doorways and flooring to prevent damage. They load the lorry well and unload the other end placing furniture in required rooms."

We moved from the north east of London to Cornwall..

" The whole process from first contact to unloading our items went almost without a hitch. Mike and Micheal were very efficient and professional. Our delivery address was challenging to deliver to. The contents of our house was initially put onto one lorry and then transferred to two smaller lorries. The first lorry delivered at the end of the week the remaining items delivered on the Monday. To reduce the cost of our load was back hauled after delivering a load close to us.

As mentioned , it was almost, without a hitch, our neighbours were very difficult and abusive. The guys moved the lorry and carried the remaining contents from further down the road to our house. I have no hesitation in using them, just not for a while though I hope. I have not hesitation in recommending them to anyone else"

Christophers recently moved us from mid-Cornwall to Bradford-on-Avon in Wiltshire.

"Mike Christopers came personally to view what needed to be moved, explained how they worked and impressed us with his thoroughness.
His subsequent quote wasn't the cheapest but we have no regrets. He and four of his staff turned up on time on completion day and somehow managed to get the sum of our possessions packed into the vehicle. His skill at safely fitting a quart into a pint pot is nothing short of astonishing.
Everything was stored for 4 days as completion of our purchase had been delayed at short notice. Despite the change of date, they managed to fit us in for delivery on the day that our purchase completed.
Christophers' service was outstanding and I cannot recommend them highly enough."

Our house contents were taken into storage, awaiting removal 400 miles to our next property, the 2 men who moved everything into storage were excellent. Once we had purchased our new property everything was transported and arrived mid morning, the only problem was getting our sofa’s into the property, not to be beaten the door was removed and with a squeeze the items went in. The whole experience with Christopher’s was so smooth we would certainly recommend this company to anyone considering moving, can’t thank them enough.

"If anyone is considering moving then look no further , the whole experience was stress free, from moving our contents into storage to transporting them to our new address 400 miles away, the office staff were so helpful nothing was too much trouble. The men who moved everything into storage were excellent. Once our furniture was moved to our new property the only problem was getting our sofa’s inside, problem soon solved, the door was taken off and replaced after everything was in. Marvellous family run business."

Local removal (10 miles between properties) but with 3 months of storage in between

"Christopher’s were recommended to us by a family member and they were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. From the cheery Zena in the office to all the guys involved in the move, they were all very friendly, polite and good company. They always checked where we wanted things to be put and were efficient and calm during the move. We used their internal storage and everything came back in exactly the same state as when it was removed. Overall I can’t recommend them highly enough."

Our move was a distance of approximately 270 miles,

"'Christophers' Crew was very punctual, the Vehicle used was a credit to the company and caused much interest amomgst our new neighbours.

Nothing was too much trouble for the two crew members they worked very hard, the collection and delivery addresses were both first floor flats having to lift items down and up two staircases.not a word of complaint about this was heard.

We cannot really add anymore to what we have already said.

The whole job from start to finish went very smoothly leaving us

"I was referred to Christophers by our estate agent who stated that they were the only firm he would recommend in the area. Very impressed by prompt reply to my initial enquiry, quotation to collect goods and explanation of storage and delivery charges. "Excellent service from the company. From the first point of contact to the removal of all the furniture, M J Christophers was a very professional company. All the members of staff were polite. The cost of the removal was really competitive. The furniture was all handled with great care.
