Move from a large house, taking place over two separate days, into storage which extended longer than the anticipated date. Subsequent move to new property, delivering house contents in on two separate days.

"Not having moved for nearly 30 years, I had forgotten how stressful the buying, selling and moving process are. They were significantly reduced because of the high quality of the people at Christophers and Sons. I cannot recommend this firm highly enough. From the first contact in assessing a quotation, to the operation of the move itself, to putting my goods into storage, in negotiating final removal dates to effecting the final moves, the service was impeccable.

I was very well briefed in the first meeting with Mike Christophers how the move would operate and what to expect. The whole process turned out exactly as I had been informed. The paperwork was exceptionally clear and helpful.

The delivery teams were, without exception, courteous, quick, helpful, and, most of all, helpful. They ensured that I knew what they were doing every step of each of the four removal days.

I had total confidence in the storage of my goods and absolute faith in their safety.

The administrative team were remarkable in the helpfulness and patience, particularly in light of a moving date which seemed to change from hour to hour.

I was particularly appreciative when the team managed to arrange the second of my moves as close as possible to the first, meaning the delivery was on a Saturday.

Using Christophers and Sons was worth every penny for a stress and damage free move. Enormous thanks."

This October M J Christopher''s moved us from Cubert in Cornwall to Rugby in Warwickshire, after several false hopes, it eventually happened,

"From the first time that they came to give us a quote, they have been most professional, who ever you spoke to, they were very polite and helpful.
On the day that they came to move us out, they made sure that they left no damage to the furniture or our bungalow.
Everything was then put into storage for 4 weeks, on the day that they delivered all our belongings, once again they were very careful not to damage the furniture or the bungalow.
Whenever dates had been agreed, they never missed those dates, always on time, they have been very good. Very Prefessional, on time not late, very polite."

Our move involved going from a bungalow with easy access to a cottage up a very steep and narrow drive. This meant the van had to be parked at the bottom and everything carried up the slope. We had some very heavy items some of which had to be negotiated up a very tight narrow staircase.

"Our experience from start to finish was excellent. From our initial enquiry on the phone to Mike visiting us to undertake an assessment of our requirements, through to collection and delivery was faultless.
Zena and Debbie at the office were always very friendly on the phone and communicated with us at every stage of the way.
When Mike came out to do the assessment, he was very thorough and explained exactly how everything would work over the two days. He took the trouble to visit our new address so he could see for himself what the access was like.
Mike and his colleague Nick came the first day to load 75% of our goods. They were punctual, professional and friendly. They brought all manner of protective coverings with them including sleeping bag type sleeves which fitted over doors to protect them and the furniture going through them.
On the day of the move it snowed so this added a further layer to the challenge. Mike, Nick, Dan snd Lewis came and were really upbeat and not at all phased. They had a uniform of dress which looked professional. They were all polite and so pleasant to chat with. Loading of the remaining 25% went without any problems and we were soon on our way.
The cottage was as difficult as the bungalow had been “easy”, relatively speaking. It was a long hard day carrying everything from the bottom of the drive to the top with sack barrows but their spirits didn’t dwindle. They moved very quickly but with care and totally worked as a team. We had labelled the boxes but if there was any doubt where something was to go, we were always asked.
Such a professional and caring team working with integrity and personality. We wouldn’t
hesitate in recommending Christopher’s to anyone."

This was a two part move following the collapse of a purchase and desire not to cause a knock on effect on a sale chain. As a result, our belongings were taken into storage in the removal company’s store before eventually being transported to their final destination several weeks later.

"Packing and handling of our belongings from the property we were leaving to safe storage in Newquay was exemplary. Difficult access for a large vehicle resulted in a smaller van being used to shuttle items, large and small, over a period of two days from the property to the store. The removal staff were friendly and courteous throughout and genuinely cared for the items in their care.

Our belongings remained in storage for over two months whilst legalities surrounding another property were being finalised. Once we knew the completion date on this property we informed the removal company requesting delivery from their store giving them 10 days notice as required in the contract.

Sadly, whilst an initial provisional date was suggested, the company was unable to confirm this date and, in the event, a date 27 days after our initial request was confirmed. To their credit the company did not charge us for the final 12 day storage cost but, because we were hiring a holiday let, the delay cost us an extra £1800.

When our belongings were delivered the two man team were brilliant in delivering the various items to their resting places. Throughout the move there was only one very minor breakage, by far the most important aspect of any move."

We moved from a house to a bungalow within the same area . With some very heavy items , nothing was to much trouble for the removal team .

"Mike Christopher arrived at the house in order to quote for our move , when he arrived he put covers over his shoes to protect our flooring.
Mike explained everything very clearly regarding the move , costings, level of insurance and any questions we had where answered .

After receiving our quote which was very competitive we decided that Christopher removals was the right company for us.

On removal day Mike and his team, Nick , Daniel and Luke arrived at the time previously agreed , the whole team where very friendly and polite and nothing was to much trouble throughout the day making a stressful process much easier to deal with .

Great care was taken with all furniture and belongings and I cannot recommend them highly enough ."

"I found the personal touch of the visit to assess better than some other firms which either ask for details on sheets of paper to be filled in by us or expect me to video each room and contents of cupboards. The person who came seemed more interested in getting our business than some others. He also gave honest assessment of difficulties they would face as we the drive we moved from was very sloping and the road outside was narrow with cars parked making things difficult, advising me what steps I could take with neighbours to mitigate. The men doing the move were very personable, efficient and helpful throughout,"

Move items out of flat in Wimbledon, London (lower ground floor - stairs and lift) into store, and from there to Cornwall. Various items including lots of paintings, one very large.

"Excellent from start to finish. Very helpful advisors in the office, and an easy procedure to get a quote. Help with supply of packing materials also. The job wasn't the easiest as flat not very easy to access, and our home in Cornwall has lots of low ceilings, tight corners and small doorways (and is off a 2 mile long narrow access lane). Nothing fazed them, and not a single thing was broken or damaged, utmost care taken at all times, everything put in the right rooms, etc., Overall a superb experience from people who clearly know their profession very well indeed. "From initial contact with the company information was always readily available. The quote was detailed and clear . Removal van arrived at agreed time . Staff smart and very efficient . Van

Unloading went well . All items were delivered I damaged and placed where

A difficult move from Cornwall to Shropshire which was split between loading on a Tuesday and delivering on the friday 3 days later.

"An excellent service from start to finish, the move was complicated due to a change in completion dates , the company was flexible and did there best to accommodate. Everthing went according to plan the staff worked very hard the lorry arrived on time and we were very pleased with the help and support we had, this is our 3rd move with Christophers would fully recommend to anyone."
