We moved from a house where we had lived for over 30 years.

"Ede Bros moved us from our family home of over 30 years. What was an emotional move was eased by the clear communication from the initial meeting and quotation stage through to the move itself. The whole team was engaged and friendly throughout and unfailingly cheerful, always prepared to go the extra mile. The new house had restricted access issues which Ede handled efficiently and without fuss. I would recommend Ede without reservation."

Moved within the Dorking area over 3 days, first day to pack, second day remaining items to new house and 3rd day rest of contents delivered.

"Excellent service which took a lot of stress out of the moving process. We had an initial visit to assess the move and advised on packing items. The move itself was over 3 days and once the team arrived everything was packed quickly and efficiently. The last items were unloaded by midday on the 3rd day.

Moving out of my home after 38 years on my own. Because the purchase of a replacement property in a different area of the country kept falling through all my belongings, including some very large garden pots with large shrubs, had to go into storage. Eventually, on the 3rd house offer, the purchase went through and I moved in 3 months later.

"The process of selling one property and purchasing another was a complete nightmare.
My chosen Estate Agent was good as was my Solicitor and Ede Bros were outstanding. Access to my former home was difficult because of road works. Ede stored the contents of my former home together with my very large garden pots complete with shrubs and watered them regularly for three months. The pots are now happily placed in various areas of my new garden and have all obviously thrived!

Every item from my former home was packed most carefully with each moving box marked with contents and room from which it came. There has been one very small breakage with fair compensation quickly and amicably agreed.

They arrived on time with an excellent work ethic. They were extremely helpful and it was a pleasure to have them in my home. It was suggested to me that I should buy a bungalow with easy access! I didn’t! I bought a terraced house on a busy road with difficult access and when I opened the door to them last week they said to me “we told you to buy a bungalow with easy access!” They then set about unloading a very large van into a small van and driving it round the corner to access the front of the house and all done with enormous amounts of goodwill.

They were sustained throughout the day with coffee, tea, chocolate hobnobs and coffee cake!"

"Everyone at Ede Bros were fantastic to deal with, from Lee during the quotation process, Sophie in the office and all the guys who moved us on the day. They are a really friendly and helpful, making the whole move an easy process. I was very reassured by their approach which took a lot of stress out of an often stressful day. A general house move from a 2 bed to a 4 bed for a growing family.

"Moving house when you have 2 small children isn’t an easy task which is why we chose to have the pack and move service from Ede Bros. What an excellent choice it turned out to be. They made the whole process easy, seamless and actually quite enjoyable.
They were punctual, polite and extremely efficient in the packing up of our whole house. They worked tirelessly to load up the vans the day before our move, leaving just our beds and a few essentials for the last night. They returned on the morning of the move, packed our beds and were on the way to our new house by 10am.
The unloading process was just as quick, with 3 large vans unloaded and all furniture and boxes in the right places in just 3 or 4 hours. They took great care to put protective mats down on the carpets and were completely trustworthy with all our belongings.
I can throughly recommend Ede Bros for removals, to say I was highly impressed is an understatement. Thank you Ede Bros for making our house move so successful!"

Family relocation from Surrey to Cheshire - July 2024 We are well experienced with removals - over the last 30 years we have moved house 12 times with some international moves and many different removal companies (often as part of a company relocation). We used Ede Bros for a local move 10 years ago and rated them as one of the best removal companies that we have experienced. For this move we packed most of the items ourselves with packing materials provided by Ede Bros. The removals were spread over 3 days due to the distance of the relocation.

"This is the second time that Ede Bros have done our removals. The first time was a local move and it was great to have a member of the Ede Bros team from 10 years ago, lead the loading of our latest move and drive the removal truck.

From planning to the final box being delivered, the Ede Bros team helped to make the removals process as stress free as possible. The crew are all highly professional, experienced, very friendly, polite and had a hugely positive attitude - nothing was too much trouble.

We would not hesitate to highly recommend the services of Ede Bros and would definitely use them again. Thank you - you were fantastic."

"When we were looking for quotes Ede Bros were responsive. They dealt with queries promptly & were clearly delighted to be chosen.

The team who came were cheerful, very polite, clearly massively experienced. You are having strangers in your home handling your most treasured & private possessions & we felt wholly comfortable with all of them.

During the move, nothing was too much trouble.

A piano had to be moved up steps to our new home - they knew what they were doing.

Post move care/help (e.g. box collection) has been great.

"We have used Edes in the past and were keen to work with them again

From the first contact with Lee and Sophie, the team were highly professional, courteous and responsive.

The removal team were great -all very professional, and very hard working - all 5 it the team were a credit to Edes - I am sorry but I don’t remember all the names except Norman and Neil.

On what could have been a stressful day, the team made everything easy and the speed at which they worked was amazing.

Our move was carried out in a very quick, efficient and careful way. The team were very helpful and accomodating of all our wishes. They were very happy to advise and move items several times, when we were unsure of our preferred location in the house. The move took four days in all and we felt the cost very reasonable, so were thrilled to receive a £300 discount!

Moving from 1 bed flst to 3 bedhouse with a cat and 5 month old baby Packing and removal, and dismantling and rebuilding furniture

"The team were exceptional, not only were they very efficient but they Nice guys.

They thought of things that haven’t even crossed our mind which made the day so much easier.

They when Above & Beyond to ensure the cats happy and even packed him a little box with blankets treats and a little bed.

They were very accommodating of the newborn baby and help us keep essential things until the last minute to be packed this made this made everything run really smoothly.

When we got to the new house, they got everything into the property in record time. James built the bed in less than 20 minutes and also the wardrobe. We could not believe how quickly they worked.

Our old neighbour who met the guys has already enquired about using them for her move"

Our move was on and off over a number of weeks. All frustrating for us but Ede’s were amazingly patient with our situation. The mechanics of moving us were not simple either due to access issues. We moved over 3 days with main loading on day 1 leaving us with essentials, day 2 completion day everything else was loaded by late morning, essentials delivered to our new home and set up so we could start to settle in. Day 3 everything arrived having to be trans-shipped from a larger lorry parked close by and delivered on small vans due to access issues.

" What could have been a logistical nightmare was seamless with the Ede’s team having loaded everything in such a way that it unloaded in the correct order. The guys over all 3 days were amazing - kind, friendly, knowledgeable, understanding, skilful in the way they manoeuvred our belongings and putting furniture back together. In what must have been an arduous move they never put a frown on their faces and acted as a reassuring presence throughout what was a very stressful time. Huge thanks to everyone at Ede Bros from dealing with my anxious calls to settling us in our new home.

In concluding I can only say the Ede Bros’ team are an amazing and professional group of people. This is the 3rd time they have moved us. We wouldn’t use anyone else."

"From start to finish, Ede Bros were 10/10. Detailed analysis of our property to make sure they knew what they were moving, clear explanations about their plan of works for the 3 days. They handled our belongings with the utmost care, their staff are so lovely and accommodating, presentation of staff and lorrys excellent, nothing was too much of a problem…they bent over backwards to help us."

A big move taking the inside and outdoor contents of a 6-bedroomed barn in one village, to a newly refurbished farmhouse in the next.

"The Ede’s team were outstanding in every way.
Polite, efficient,patient, calm and hard-working; they could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Also extremely strong and talented at moving any size of furniture through any doorway and up//down any stairs!
I especially appreciated the way they recognized how stressful the process was for us and regularly - but discreetly - checked in on us throughout the day.
The more senior members of the team were great at coming up with strategies throughout the move /how best to do things and in what order, and the younger guys were very receptive to learning and working just as hard
After every room was cleared - and then reinstated at the new property - I was personally taken to the room to check I was happy.
Also, before the team left on the final day I was asked if there was anything else they could do help and we took them up on it, asking for a few pieces of furniture in the garden and house to be moved having changed our minds. All done, no questions asked and with enthusiasm!
At no point till anyone huff, puff, groan or complain. They could not have been more willing and able.
From the outset the office back up was also excellent From the initial assessment through to billing and sign off.

This must be about the 10th move me and my family have done with Edes and they never fail to impress. Highly recommended!"
