Moved from a two bedroom upper maisonette to a one bedroom second floor apartment both accessed by stairs. The maisonette stairs were particularly steep hence why I was moving which the removal men really managed well when moving all my items and furniture.

4 bed detached house in Surrey moving to a similar property with a barn in Glocs. Objects moved included a pottery kiln and many personal effects. Because of problems with the chain we had to go into storage which turned out to be a couple of weeks only. This was not an issue.

"Martell's were excellent from the initial contact through to the person visiting to provide the quotation. The liaison person in the office was super and very helpful.
The team who took the items into storage were very good. They were careful and polite. I can't think how they could have improved.
The delivery team (of 2) worked like Trojans. They had a huge amount to move into a variety of rooms and also a barn. They were very helpful, checked if they were uncertain where items went, and moved a few where we changed our minds. They were polite and good company to work with.
If I was to move again then I would select Martell's without question."

"From the initial quote through to the final delivery, everything went very smoothly and as expected. Adam kept in touch and answered all queries promptly and efficiently. "Very happy with Martells. Haven't moved for 26 years and felt a bit unsure of myself.This company made me feel that I was in capable hands. They talked me through everything from my initial contact with their office to the final day of the move. Plenty of common sense tips from the office and on the day they came to quote. It was a difficult house to empty,lots of different levels and stairs,but the team dealt with it all with good humour and made things a lot less stressful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family."

We downsized from a large house to a much smaller one! It was quite a task but Martells were helpful from the beginning. We had a lot to get rid of, charity shops, action house and other places but I still left things for the tip.

" Martells have large trucks that take things to the tip, which meant no skips in our drive, things were taken away immediately.
The men were friendly and worked fast, nothing was too much trouble for them. I was impressed and grateful for their help.
I recommend Martells and would definitely use them again - although, hopefully, not for a while!"

It was an easy move from our previous address to another 5mins drive away. We also had access to the new property a couple days before completion so were able to get most of the packing / loading done a day early. We had option B where breakables were packed.

The move was from the second floor to a ground floor flat. I packed everything up.

"The move went swiftly and efficiently. Furniture was moved and placed appropriately in the new flat. The boxes were placed in small groups for ease of getting to a particular box. The removers responded to requests immediately and were friendly and relaxed which helped with the stress levels.

Two lovely lads who were helpful and just got on and did the job. Very pleased that I used Martell�s for the move."

Moved from Crowborough in Sussex to Peterborough in Cambridgeshire over a 3 day period.

"We had previously used Martells to move from East Grinstead to Crowborough 11 years ago and were very happy with that so decided to use them again for our current move. The estimator was very thorough and explained everything that would be involved in the move including the time frame and the order of van loading etc. We had to change our projected moving date on several occasions due to our house sale being altered numerous times. Each time this happened Martells were able to accommodate the new dates. Even before a final completion date was agreed they supplied packing boxes, tape and wrapping paper all included in the quoted price. On the actual moving dates the van and 2 Martell employees arrived dead on the time agreed. Frankie and Mark then proceeded to load the van with impressive speed and efficiency, returning the next day to complete the loading as had previously been agreed. We had a slight delaying in being able to reach the new property in Peterborough but found that Frankie and Mark had sensibly manoeuvred the van onto the drive of the property to allow the unloading to take place through the rear doors of the property, which gave better access to the ground floor rooms. They managed to unload a substantial part of the van before finishing for the day. They then returned the following morning exactly at the time agreed and completed the unloading and had all our goods inside the property in all the right rooms. Nothing was too much trouble for them, even when we asked for a sofa bed to be moved from first one room then into different room, only to find we actually preferred it in the original room! From start to finish all the Martells staff were helpful and efficient, so our thanks to Ed, Gorgia, Frankie and Mark for making the move as stress-free as possible."

"This is the second time I�ve used Martells had a really good experience both times. Two guys and two vans all day , very chirpy and helpful . Really careful with my stuff and nothing too much trouble. Difficult to predict whether 2 vans would be necessary but having the option made me not worry that it wouldn�t all go in.

We were moving from a bungalow - but it was something of a Tardis! As keen gardeners, DIYers and crafters, we had huge quantities of "things that might come in useful one day" - probably a remover''s nightmare!

"The move was carried out over 4 days - Monday and Wednesday to load; Friday (completion day) to load final essentials, then start delivery to new home. Saturday to deliver the bulk of our effects. This was really helpful, as it gave us breathing space (and actual space!) to finish packing, and start unpacking.

The team couldn't have been more helpful. Obviously their job was to get everything off the vans and into our new property, but if they noticed us trying to move something heavy they would stop what they were doing and offer to help.

Wednesday was a really wet day, and unfortunately that was the day to clear the garden stuff. But the team remained focussed and even cheerful throughout. We really were very impressed and delighted."
