To completely pack a 3 bedroom bungalow, including 3 sheds/outbuildings along with garden pots/plants/furniture, and move into another property 75 miles away.

"We had used Martells before and so picking them to do this move was an easy choice. The price was very good, the service was brilliant although they did turn up an hour earlier than expected on day one which could have caught us out and would be the only negative point.
We like the fact that there was at least one person who was with the crtew throughout the two days. It would have helped my elderly father if the crew had been the same for both days ( packing on day one and moving on day 2 ) for continuity sake.
But all in all a good move and we would use and recommend Martells. No damages and all items delivered in the same condition they left the house.
The colleagues were so honest that a pound coin found down the side of the sofa was returned to us !!"

The move was to the South of France, which meant dealing with Customs and organising all the relevant paperwork. The lorry was too big to turn into the driveway from the small lane the house was on. The solution was hiring a smaller lorry close to the house, park in a suitable location and transfer all our furniture to this smaller lorry.

"This move could have been a very stressful experience, there were some logistical issues to deal with, which if not managed correctly could have been a disaster.

Edward and his team were professional and alleviated any concerns which we might have had. Edward�s advice on packing up and dealing with French customs was invaluable. He visited us a week before the move to go through all the paperwork to ensure a smooth transition through customs. He also provided boxes, paper and tape for packing up. His team of 3 then came in a few days before the move to load the lorry. All of this was done efficiently and quickly.

Mark the driver arrived promptly on the day and let us know he had arrived and was waiting at the pre-arranged transfer location. Even though we weren�t quite ready yet, Mark patiently waited until the sale had completed. My husband then helped Mark transfer from the larger lorry to the smaller one to accommodate the small lane to the house. Mark was polite and very hard working. We soon had all our belongings in our new home.

The whole team were outstanding and a credit to Martell�s, we could not recommend them enough.

Move furniture into storage, where our furniture was stored for 3 months. It was then taken out of storage and delivered to Suffolk.

"Having sold our house, we then found the house we were purchasing was taken off the market so needed to put our furniture into storage. Martells provided excellent service in the planning and moving our belongings into storage crates. Everyone involved in the process was friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The removal men were professional and packed our belongings into storage in the timeframe quoted. Office staff were very supportive and always on hand to answer any queries. When we finally got the keys to our new house the plan to bring our belongings and deliver to our new home went like clockwork. The removal men were professional, friendly and put everything where we wanted it to go, leaving us that day ready to start our new adventure in our new home. Thank you, would definitely recommend Martells."

Moving from a 4 bedroom house to an older 4 bedroom house with a larger garden.

"Mark and the team of 3 arrived on time as stated in the quote and then walked around the property to understand in what order items needed to be packed into the lorry. They then work continuously through the first day loading the lorry with barely a break.
They then arrived as a team of 2 to complete the remaining items. Through out the whole process all the chaps were very polite.
The unloading of the items again went very smoothly.

"The move took place over 3 days and the guys did an excellent professional job. Always helpful and careful packing fragile items. They had a really good vibe and obviously enjoyed their work. Once the furniture was in, Gavin and Kieran more than once offered to move things if we'd had a rethink. Totally recommend Martells for an stress-free professional move.
The only improvement I can think of is offering a more detailed schedule of what happens each day."

3 day local move. Very heavy bronze gorilla to move.

"Our three day move was a very easy process with the guys from Martell�s knowing exactly what to do. They were very friendly and explained what was happening and what would happen on moving day. We were very impressed with the way our very heavy bronze gorilla arrived in our new garden on what looked like a skate board. Then they placed him in the exact position which would be his new home 😊
My only regret was that we only had 4 days to pack and would have loved to have Martells packing for us.
Very happy customer and would definitely recommend anyone moving to use Martells."

Moved from a two bedroom upper maisonette to a one bedroom second floor apartment both accessed by stairs. The maisonette stairs were particularly steep hence why I was moving which the removal men really managed well when moving all my items and furniture.

4 bed detached house in Surrey moving to a similar property with a barn in Glocs. Objects moved included a pottery kiln and many personal effects. Because of problems with the chain we had to go into storage which turned out to be a couple of weeks only. This was not an issue.

"Martell's were excellent from the initial contact through to the person visiting to provide the quotation. The liaison person in the office was super and very helpful.
The team who took the items into storage were very good. They were careful and polite. I can't think how they could have improved.
The delivery team (of 2) worked like Trojans. They had a huge amount to move into a variety of rooms and also a barn. They were very helpful, checked if they were uncertain where items went, and moved a few where we changed our minds. They were polite and good company to work with.
If I was to move again then I would select Martell's without question."

"From the initial quote through to the final delivery, everything went very smoothly and as expected. Adam kept in touch and answered all queries promptly and efficiently. Mark and Jensen packed and removed all items from one house to the other. Mark and Jensen were always polite, friendly and arrived promptly. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they always checked with us if any query arose.They were both professional at all times and worked so hard to pack everything up and then unpack at our new property. Moved from a difficult 4-5 bedroom multi level house to a smaller 3 bedroom easy access house.

"Very happy with Martells. Haven't moved for 26 years and felt a bit unsure of myself.This company made me feel that I was in capable hands. They talked me through everything from my initial contact with their office to the final day of the move. Plenty of common sense tips from the office and on the day they came to quote. It was a difficult house to empty,lots of different levels and stairs,but the team dealt with it all with good humour and made things a lot less stressful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family."

We downsized from a large house to a much smaller one! It was quite a task but Martells were helpful from the beginning. We had a lot to get rid of, charity shops, action house and other places but I still left things for the tip.

" Martells have large trucks that take things to the tip, which meant no skips in our drive, things were taken away immediately.
The men were friendly and worked fast, nothing was too much trouble for them. I was impressed and grateful for their help.
I recommend Martells and would definitely use them again - although, hopefully, not for a while!"
