Blackhall Moving & Storage cover Edinburgh and the Lothians behind this set-up is Simon Munro who has over 35+ years experience in all aspects of the storage and removals industry in Edinburgh and he will personally oversee your move from the initial visit of a FREE no obligation survey, from which he will follow up with a formal fixed priced removal quotation and then supervise your move on the day thus offering a personal level of service which other removal companies would struggle to match. Our friendly and fully trained uniformed removals staff enables us to go the extra mile on service and quality for complete customer satisfaction, giving you peace of mind and a stress free move.

"On our move day, Blackhall were really efficient, professional and a very friendly team. They made moving day much less stressful. Removal and overnight storage of all contents from a 2-bed, 2nd floor flat. Parking was extremely limited and difficult outside the flat, so Blackhall put cones out to reserve space for a large lorry. Contents delivered to new property the next day once keys were available.

"Having recently used Blackhall Moving & Storage to help with a house move in Edinburgh, we can't praise them highly enough! They were professional and helpful throughout the entire process. From visiting our flat in order to provide a competitive quote, dropping off plenty of boxes and bubble wrap for us to pack our belongings, the very efficient and careful packing and unpacking of their van, to liaising with Vicki in their office on the completion day, we were really impressed with the whole company.

The teams who did the packing and delivery worked incredibly quickly but showed great consideration with our belongings and both properties. We have an old piece of furniture that has seen better days but has sentimental value - it arrived in perfect condition.

Blackhall helped reduce our stress through the whole process and we can't thank them enough! We don't plan on moving again but if we do, Blackhall will be the first and only company we contact."

"The whole moving process was seamless. All aspects of the service were explained in full. The initial assessment was done as a virtual tour of the house which made it very easy. The team arrived promptly for both moving out and in. All the staff were friendly and extremely efficient. I can highly recommend Blackhall removals. If we move again I would use them again."

"Ours was a relatively long distance move at a busy time of year. I was stressed even thinking about it .
Blackhall removals were beyond brilliant throughout the whole process
When the dud the packing they turned up exactly when they said they would - and got straight down to work
After a long drive they again got straight to work as soon as they arrived to deliver .
They were efficient, friendly and patient ( when I asked them to move the position of things a couple of times !)

"Blackhall were excellent through the whole process. Kept in touch with regards to the progress of our sale and this really provided peace of mind throughout the stresses of moving home.
We paid for our house to be packed and the service from when they arrived, to when they delivered everything to our new home, was excellent. All the staff were so polite and professional. Really can’t say what a huge difference it made to our move. We had got a few quotes from different removers and Blackhall were the most reasonable."

We moved from one area of Edinburgh to a fairly adjacent area also in the north. We moved from a small end of terrace house (110m2) to a large semi-detached (168m2), each 3 bedrooms. We had A LOT of large furniture including a very heavy dining table with inlaid cast iron casters, a modular 3 piece corner sofa, a king sized bed, a queen bed, a single bed. We also had about 5 mirrors, a plasma screen TV, about 40 framed pieces of art and significant glassware and china. I was really worried prior to the move and had been really impressed by blackhall’s reputation which is why we decided to choose them. The price was also quite reasonable compared to other movers.

"My husband and I want to convey our gratitude for our moving experience last Friday 16th May. We moved a few miles across Edinburgh and everything by went very smoothly. We were so impressed by the efficiency and professionalism of our lovely movers from Blackhall. Jonny, Bundy and Rab were excellent and really looked after our possessions really well and moved all our furniture and boxes into the allocated rooms so that we could hit the ground running with unpacking as they brought our possessions in. They also gave help to turn our very heavy dining room table back upright once the legs were reattached that we would have struggled to do alone. It really meant that we got a lot done on the first day which made the transition to our new home really easy. The team were friendly and easy to talk to and checked if they weren’t sure of any labelling. We are also grateful for how easy it was to do a self-pack with Blackhall who readily provided boxes, bubble wrap and tape and were really helpful when we needed extra boxes and bubble wrap too. Communication was always fast and clear. We did a lot of research prior to the move and definitely think Blackhall gave us the best service for a reasonable price.

We’ll be sure to highly recommend your excellent service to any friends or family who plan a house move. Thanks again!"

I was worried because Blackhall were so much more reasonable in price than the other quotes I had recieved - perhaps they were not as good? I was wrong, all the staff were great, so hard working and polite. They treated all out items with care, moved us professionaly and swifty.

They are professional, polite, respectful and fun to have around during this stressful period. All items were wrapped or packed as agreed and all furniture arrived in the right location in perfect condition. We had some very heavy pieces which they dealt with, with ease.
