Blackhall Moving & Storage cover Edinburgh and the Lothians behind this set-up is Simon Munro who has over 35+ years experience in all aspects of the storage and removals industry in Edinburgh and he will personally oversee your move from the initial visit of a FREE no obligation survey, from which he will follow up with a formal fixed priced removal quotation and then supervise your move on the day thus offering a personal level of service which other removal companies would struggle to match. Our friendly and fully trained uniformed removals staff enables us to go the extra mile on service and quality for complete customer satisfaction, giving you peace of mind and a stress free move.

Move from a flat to a house. Full packing service as well as removals.

"From getting initial quotes to the moving process, the communication from Blackhall was great. We were given quotes quickly and got a breakdown of different options to allow us to make the best decision.
Vicki Munro was particularly great in guiding us through the process and was helpful when we were faced with a last minute delay.

The team were efficient and all our items reached the new property as they left.
The team also build the beds and wardrobes back up for us which was a huge help.

"Great communication throughout from initial email, on-site visit/quote and in the run up to and including the moving day. Everything packed and moved very well and very quickly. We had changes to the original plan, as the first house purchase did not conclude. We had planned to only have storage facilities for around two weeks, however this changed to around 4 months,

"This was not a problem for Blackhall, they were lovely and assured us it was not a problem for them to continue with storage.
Everything was handled so professionally, which was such a big help for us at a very stressful time.Perfect service from start to finish. All members of staff were polite & friendly, all answered every concern/question immediately.
Would highly recommend.

Moved from upper villa to detached house. Usual family household furniture, digital piano, garden equipment.

"I received quotes from a few removal companies and Blackhall came out most favourably in terms of value for money and professional, personable attitude.
Received plenty of packing materials well in advance on a day that suited.
Guys were punctual and very efficient with both loading and unloading and dismantled/rebuild beds/piano etc.
There was a delay with exchange of keys which meant a £100 per hour charge until access to property, hence overall cost was more. These terms were laid out in the quote so I knew there’d be potential cost increases."

Moving from 3 bed bungalow to a 4 bed end of terrace house that was only 5 minutes drive away. The term did it in 3 trips with a Luton Van.

"The whole experience was painless and easy from start to finish. We had a pre-removal visit to review how much work it would take and the difficulties of getting parking space outside our new house. The team placed 3 sets of cones outside our new house advising the neighbours of our impending move and on the day the space was clear for the Van. Just one van, with 3 trips in all, and everything was successfully moved in time, with both beds dismantled and reassembled. Highly recommended if we ever move again!"

Moving is indeed a stressful experience.

"Simon and Vicky added a personal touch for the actual assessment of the move. They had come highly recommended by friends and, since the move, I have recommended them myself.
The actual move was stress free because of the wonderful, professional and experienced team. Excellent care was given to special furniture. Nothing seemed to be a problem especially when a staircase proved to be tricky for some items.
The team was friendly, willing to move furniture in different ways so it fitted best.
I cannot recommend the company highly enough."

A lot of the items requiring removal and storage were large pieces of furniture and a lot of boxes. The items were collected from the Fettes area of Edinburgh and stored at their facility for several weeks before being delivered to the new property in the Scottish Borders.

"Blackhall Moving and Storage are a reliable and professional company who removed and stored furniture and boxes from my parent's flat. They took great care of all of the items that were removed and then stored. The same service was provided when they delivered the items out of storage to the new property. I would recommend them to anyone as they also offer competitive prices and a courteous service."

From 3 bedroom upper villa flat to 2storey house

"This company was excellent from the beginning to the end of the move
The admin side worked perfectly .Boxes were delivered on schedule and as many as we needed.
Our quote was happily adjusted when I bought some new stuff.

The real stars of the show were however the moving crew.
They worked really hard,haring up and down the stairs with what seemed like impossible loads.
They were polite,respectful ,obliging and certainly put in two good days work.
I would highly recommend this firm

Short local move. But included a very heavy small grand piano.

"Initial visit was on time and the discussion covered all the questions. Whilst I did my own packing the boxes were supplied and then at my request quickly collected after to create space! The move included a piano - this was done via piano trolley with the legs and pedals removed - all done well.

This was efficient and the guys doing it worked hard and showed good customer service.

As a retired widow I had concerns about moving house, especially as I was relocating to be closer to family. I needn’t have worried as everything ran like clockwork. Movers were very efficient, diligent and careful with my things. They laid down mats to protect flooring and carpets. The tv was wrapped up in soft matting and taped up. They took time to explain what they were doing. Before I knew it, the job was done. Most importantly, they were friendly and respectful. The guys even assembled a brand new dining table for me. .

"It was most daunting to be moving and relocating in my mid 60s.
The movers I chose were recommended to me by my daughter who had moved from London to Edinburgh. She had high praise for them and so I decided to go with them.
Booking process gave me utmost confidence as I had a FaceTime call with the owner who asked lots of questions about my property, location, access, amount of furniture, valuables.
Cost of the move, insurance costs, storage costs were emailed to me and date agreed.
All communications were answered promptly and questions were answered.
Unfortunately I had to change my moving date which moving company were able to accommodate without a problem.
All in all I can definitely say that a potentially awful experience was absolutely carried out to a very high standard."
