We were moving from West Yorkshire to Edinburgh. We had a specific request for a free day between collection and delivery of our belongings to allow us to travel up. We had a specific idea of timings and Broughtons were happy to accommodate these. Mostly boxes we had packed ourselves and not too much furniture. The quote given included travelling time and storage of items securely overnight. There was the added complexity of access to thr new property being down a narrow lane, meaning our items were moved from the large van which collected them from Yorkshire onto 2 small vans for delivery. Not the most straight forward of jobs.

We moved from a top floor flat in the City to a main door flat also in the City and used Broughton Removals for both the packing & moving service. The team were discreet, friendly and efficient with most of our belongings packed the day before we moved and the moving team on the day working together to move everything out for us that we went and had a coffee and got out of their way! A much nicer and less stressful start to moving day. Our top floor flat did not have a lift and therefore there were several flights of stairs but this did not affect the teams efficiency or positive attitude. We own a very heavy solid wood sideboard which we have always struggled to move from property to property but the team lifted it as if it was a box of cushions. Everything was placed in the rooms required at the other end of the move and made the unpacking element far easier than we expected. We did feel for the team having to pack up so much glassware but every item we unpacked was as good as it was before it was packed with no breakages, no scuffs to walls, no marks on the floor. We were incredibly impressed by Gregor and his team and would highly recommend.

Moving from a large 3 bed apartment in Edinburgh, to a 5 bed townhouse in Edinburgh. The Apartment was in a grade B listed building, as is the townhouse so particular care was needed. Also, the apartment was renovated 5 years ago and is still on the market for sale, whilst the townhouse has just been completely renovated, so we did not want any damage to either properties.

I was moving from a church house to another church house . Whilst I did not have lots of stuff , I was anxious to get things done smoothly. The timings were perfect and the company did everything to try and accommodate the date I needed which I appreciated as I had to change couple of times. They were always helpful on the phone and kept me updated of timings and arrivals . I was moving from one city to another and a fair distance for me.

We moved from a 4 bedroom house with double garage (so quite a lot of stuff). All our belongings had to stay in storage with the remover for 10 days until the house we were moving to was available.

We had the emotional challenge of downsizing after 40 years from a sizeable Arts and Crafts house with garden to a modern second floor flat.

We moved from a Victorian house into a modern flat which is not very much smaller than our house and has good storage space, but it is smaller. Despite having got rid of masses of stuff, we still had too much!

I wasn''t moving house, but needed to put most of ground floor into storage for three weeks to allow new flooring to be installed and have the rooms redecorated.

Our move was a massive downsize from a large Victorian property to a modern flat. We were only moving a few pieces of furniture, but had a very large volume of personal possessions including china and glasses, ornaments and art work and an extensive collection of cds- much of which is now stored in our new garage.

This was a complex move which was carried out with great skill and even enjoyment. We went from Edinburgh into store or to relations in Oxford, the load being split. We were confirmed in the view that it is worth paying for a high quality service.
