The move was from somewhere we had lived for over twenty years and involved belongings going to two different addresses. As we neared the move date we needed to change where some of the items were going and Kerr''s accommodated all our changes.

"We have used Kerr's before and were impressed with how easy they made our move previously and we were not disappointed this time. Kerr's approach is professional and clear but the air of calm and confidence that all members of the team show is very helpful and reassuring at such a stressful time.

I was moving from a flat in the city to a small town around 40 miles away; all my furniture and a fridge/freezer and washing machine had to be moved.

"Kerr's were fantastic from start to finish. Someone came out for free to assess my needs and give me a quote. The quote was very reasonable; I'd encourage anyone moving to ask for a quote for their packing service as well, as it wasn't much extra but saved me a huge amount of time and stress! All the team members I had contact with were polite, professional and incredibly hard-working. They ended up having to take apart my bed and desk in order to move them, but put them back together at the other end, which I really appreciated.

The day I moved turned out to be a heatwave, but even in those less than ideal conditions, the movers just got on with the job and finished moving me in surprisingly quickly. I'm very grateful for how wonderful a job they did!

Kerr's was recommended to me by a friend who was moved by them a number of years ago, and like her, I will be very happy to recommend them to anyone I know who is moving."

"Excellent service from start to finish.
Very friendly team conducted a thorough survey, answered our questions and inspired lots of confidence in the company.

The team fully packed our house in about 5 hours the day before, loaded the truck in a similar time the following day and had us fully unloaded within a few hours at the other end.

Communication was excellent throughout and the team were all very helpful and pleasant."

Move from Edinburgh to London with contents being stored with Kerr''s for a month in between sale of Edinburgh property and London purchase.

"Kerr's were responsive and efficient. Staff all cheeful and hard working and made the whole experience as painless as possible.

My Edinburgh move was quite straightforward (apart from having to move a large credenza through a first-floor window) but the move into my London flat was tricky, with parking difficulties, several sets of stairs, four fire doors, a small lift and a long corridor to be negotiated.

The two Kerr's removal men (who had driven all day to get to London and were no doubt already tired) were stoic and moved half the load in the late afternoon/evening and the rest the next morning. All the office staff were also very helpful. Would highly recommend."

Moved from Balerno to East Calder. Lots of photography items and albums were packed. Garden ornaments and seating. Precious pictures.

"Bill arrived to complete the survey, he was like a breath of fresh air, any questions I had were answered, in his words, if we can lift it, we�ll move it.The quote I received was very easy to understand, unlike other quotes I had.
Jeff arrived on the arranged morning and started packing, no problems whatsoever. Each box was labelled. More men came to help, by the end of the day, the lorry was loaded and I was left sitting comfortably.
The morning of the move Kerr�s arrived and commenced with the removal, it was stress free.
On receiving my new keys, Kerr�s were already at the property. Ryan laid protective covers to protect the flooring, and in a flash the two king sized beds were built and all the boxes put into the correct rooms.
As a female on my own I cannot rate Kerr�s highly enough. The whole team were friendly, approachable, polite, respectful, this was a first class experience and I wouldn�t hesitate to recommend Kerr�s to everyone.
Thank you guys, you were fantastic."

We undertook two consecutive moves. One from North Yorkshire to Edinburgh with all contents put in storage. Then a further move from an Edinburgh flat to a new property locally amalgamating both sets of furniture.

"They were very flexible with timings especially after three delayed completion dates. The fees were extremely reasonable considering the complexity and the excellent service we were given.

The whole process of moving from Yorkshire to Edinburgh then again in the New Town, was undertaken with great professionalism. Kerr�s went the extra mile to make sure that when amalgamating furniture from two properties, with a substantial amount from storage, the coordination of delivery was undertaken with a mind to timings suitable for us.

The communication between the team members and office was excellent and we were consulted at all times about our satisfaction with the move. On the day of completion time of entry was considerably delayed but they provided extra team members to unload the lorry ensuring all our furniture was put in place by the end of the day. A thoroughly pleasurable experience."

Kerr�s took all the stress out of our house move.

"The packers were excellent, everything was wrapped and boxed quickly. This was so much easier than doing it ourselves. The next day the movers loaded the van. The team were very professional and soon had the house cleared. The following day the team were ready to move our things into our new home as soon as we got our keys.

Doing the move over 3 days made the whole process stress free. Everything arrived safely and once we were unpacked Kerr�s came back and removed the boxes. From start to finish Kerr�s were 1st class"

All the packing was very carefully done on the day prior to the removal.

"Nothing was too much bother. They even took away an old wardrobe that the charity shop didn�t want and I would have found difficult to dispose of.
The keys of my new home were late in arriving but Kerrs were so understanding about the delay. The vans were at my property waiting for me with the keys
Everyone was so helpful and everything was put in place and the removal staff were delightful, polite and cheerful.
I highly recommend Kerrs as everything is explained properly before the move and they do everything and more to help you have a seamless move. It was a joy to have them do the work."

Move from Edinburgh to the Highlands of Scotland

"Although not the cheapest quote we received, once you take into account all the additional add ons other companies include on their quote this was very competitive on a like for like basis. But what swung it for us was the no nonsense approach taken by Kerr�s and how reassuring they were with what is a very stressful process potentially. The fact it�s a family run business also appealed to us.

On the day of our move, the team turned up on time and immediately put our minds at ease. They were polite, respectful, positive and nothing was too much trouble. They handled our belongings with care and professionalism and put in a power of work - achieving a lot in a short space of time. They love the power hour and we kept them going with coffee and biscuits

At the other end, they were equally as professional and courteous and it honestly made the entire process much less stressful and actually quite enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble and they clearly take pride in their work. We will definitely be recommending them!"

Moving from a top floor three bed flat to a first floor flat. The top floor flat was up very narrow stairs with tight curves.

"Honestly, don�t understand how they did it so fast, so carefully, and so professionally. Absolutely incredible work. The crew were a great bunch of guys, really friendly and very helpful. Made sure we got all our stuff in, beds put back together, and place cleaned up. Can�t recommend them enough."

The move involved a company relocation so covered everything from desks, chairs, folders with a paper filing system, IT equipment, a fridge and 2 safes. We opted to pack our own items. All down 3 flights of stairs in an old Edinburgh tenement on a warm sunny day.

"Just wanted to say thank you to the Kerr�s team.
From Blair at the beginning of the process booking the move to organising the box drop off, and on to Jack, Ciaran, Ricky and Lee on the day.
They were prompt on arrival and very efficient at the move, considering the logistics involved. It all went extremely well.
Once at the other end, the items were relocated into the new office premises and the desks were reassembled professionally.
Highly recommend the Kerr's team."
