This was a move to a house an hour away taking part of the contents of the current house. So not a straight forward move in terms of handling what''s going and what is staying. Also it was a move to a house with a entrance approach along a beach over a slightly bumpy stretch of road.

"From the first contact they were extremely helpful and responsive. They also had huge local knowledge and so knew the challenges with the delivery (including the need to plan for the tide times so the access was clear!) I was downsizing to a smaller house and garden but just half an hour away. Access to the property I was moving to was excellent. However access to the house I was moving to was a wee bit tight but the crew found a workable solution. I have a dog and at no time was I made to feel she was in the way. She even went round to everyone at the end if the third day to say goodbye.

"From the very beginning I was made to feel that my move was important to them. Everything was taken care of and at no point was I made to feel I was silly to ask a question.
The crew arrived on time and were cheery and well mannered . They packed my possessions with care and everything was carried out to my satisfaction.
What is generally a stressful time was made much less stressful and I. Abe to say a huge thank you to all at Scottish Removals for the care they took over all my pots of plants - in fact there was more garden stuff and plant pots than there was furniture for the house.
Can’t fault them and can highly recommend them to anyone."

MOve from Skye to North Wiltshire. A significant number of vulnerable items, including computer gear, antique furniture as well as a fair collection of furniture/

"The survey was thorough and very detailed - vulnerable items were noted, and plans were made for their handling. This, along with the agreed packing schedule, added a lot of certainty to our preparation of the property, arranging trades to handle the electrics, etc, in a timely manner, and – where possible – getting our removal items in good shape for the start of packing. Packing commenced on schedule, with non-essential items disappearing into boxes that were well-labelled with the contents. Finally large items and eventually beds, tables and chairs were packed up and transferred for transhipping to the large van that would make the journey. The same team were involved throughout. The vans arrived on the agreed time and date and were unloaded rapidly into the appropriate locations, which, to a large extent, we had preplanned, so all went well, and little subsequent moving of big items was necessary. Moving is a stressful business, and the clarity and planning of Scottish Removals was first class. Everything arrived in great condition - they achieved what good removals should always do - move a variety of stuff from A to B, without damage and with minimum inconvenience."

Scottish Removal Services moved my furniture from storage to my new home. This was done over two days and my furniture was moved into my new house before I arrived. It was a painless experience from beginning to end. Melissa kept in touch by email and´phone to keep up to date with my house-buying processes.

"The removal was organised by email and telephone communication. I didn´t actually meet the removal team or Melissa, but communication was very good and we both knew what we needed to know for the removal days. There was a delay regarding the purchase of my house on the day, but Melissa kept in touch and flexible and organised the removal without me being there, once the buying transaction was complete. When I arrived at the house, all was in order with the furniture in the appropriate rooms. Very happy."

The team worked hard to rearrange the move very shortly before Christmas because of adverse weather on the original date. I was delighted that their team were prepared to be flexible to enable me to move into my new home, although it probably impacted on their plans. They were cheerful and helpful throughout.

"I highly recommend Scottish Removal Services. The office team were great - they were friendly, efficient and they did not overload me with information. They were quick to make contact when they recognised that the weather warnings were likely to mean that the move on the original date couldn’t happen as planned and they had clearly done lots of research about the possible conditions. They offered a ready solution, although this was disruptive for them.

Accepted delivery of furniture from supplier and stored it before providing a delivery service to our home.

"The team at Scottish Removals were absolutely brilliant from our first contact right up until the last item had been delivered.

Their communication on pricing and service was clear and fair, and they responded quickly to any questions we raised. We had passed on the original quote they provided as the supplier of our furniture had a direct delivery option, which was understandably more cost effective. Scottish Removals were very polite about this and when the other company let us down went out of their way to help us out of a real bind.

The delivery was quite tricky with a steep path. The team took the time to assess and understand this, so there was no complaints on the day. All of the staff were friendly and professional and clearly enjoyed their jobs. Even though it was not part of the service they spent time helping to put furniture together for us and make sure everything was in the right place.

It was such a pleasure to deal with a quality family run business and we would highly recommend them to anyone moving to Skye and the rest of the highlands. We will definitely use them again.

I moved from the Midlands in England to the Isle of Skye, leaving my belongings in storage with them for nine months while I house hunted. They then delivered everyth8ng from storage to my new home. They took care of everything, every step of the way.

"Scottish Removal Services were a joy to work with from start to finish. They took all the strain and worry out of the process. Advice was clear and just what I needed for a big move from down south up to the Isle of Skye. Every member of the team was great - helpful, friendly and efficient. The removal men got on with the job and nothing was too much trouble. They looked after my belongings in storage and organised the delivery to my new house when the time came. It all felt a bit daunting but Melissa and her team made sure that everything went really smoothly leaving nothing to be worried about. I can’t recommend them highly enough. This was a very complicated ongoing house clearance. Scottish Removal Services are exceptionally managed. Two years before the removal I sought their advice on what could be transported; and the feasibility of transporting particularly heavy and fragile items. The load consisted of unique, irreplaceable ceramics, paintings and geological specimens.

"The team management; transport manager and staff communicated extremely well. Everything was handled with care and professionalism. This service is outstanding; it is worth mentioning their experience in accessing difficult terrain across the Croft and steep slopes that they tackled with ease, they are a very competent Scottish removal company.

Scottish Removal Services are excellently managed. Their communication is clear; documentation, relevant training; health and safety, insurance and practical communication on the job. They provide a reliable and well organised service. The staff are well presented and very experienced. The whole team are outstanding. They have experience; the experience of moving difficult items in Scotland, particularly where the terrain is less favourable."

"Scottish Removal Services were fantastic from beginning to end. From the initial call we had a really strong sense we were in good hands. We we’re not wrong. Everyone was so helpful. We emailed to organise additional packing material a good few times and all requests were responded to quickly. Nothing was ever a problem. The delivery team were friendly all the way from arrival at the house to delivery of our things at the new house. They were calm, careful and obviously very experienced at removals. "From start to finish, Melissa and her team were extremely helpful and answered any queries promptly. I was updated regularly so I knew the plan for moving. The team that came were very friendly and had the trucks packed (very neatly) in under 3 hours. We agreed to an early unloading of the trucks at the new property which was carried out just under 2 hours. There was no damage to any items."

We had to remove a valuable and much-loved antique Rocking Horse from Kent to Skye as a part load.

"At every step of the way Melisssa - and anyone else I spoke to at Scottish Romovals - was helpful, efficient and kind.
Communication was easy, pricing was clear and fair, and everything went according to plan.
Melissa even suggested keeping the Rocking Horse in Broadford, without further charge, while we organised access at the final delivery address in Skye.
The Rocking Horse arrived in perfect condition, and is safely established.
