Scottish Removals service supported and help move our Women''s aid refuge to a new location. Frustratingly we had challenges, with access to new premises being put on hold due to solicitor hold ups, we were then hit with snow and I wasn''t able to be on hand on the day after getting stuck in the snow.

"This company were completely supportive, adaptable, found solutions and most importantly were kind and understanding.
The removal guys were so easy going and good natured, thoughtful and respectful to our goods.

"Office based staff were knowledgeable and provided written information to help make the process as smooth as possible. Removals Van personnel were quick workers and very pleasant to deal with. Our unloading was due to take place at 8am on 27/8/24. However, the Removals Van personnel asked if they could deliver the previous evening as they had arrived in the area early. It did put me on the spot, since I didn't want to say no, knowing how far the men had to travel home. I had also driven down from Spean Bridge and was very tired as I'd had a hectic few days beforehand. At the same time, although it worked out ok (the next day was abysmal weather), it knocked out our plans for a relaxing evening the night before the move."

The Scottish Removals team were engaged to move us from Skye to North Yorkshire. We asked them to provide all of the packing materials and support our packing with a fragile pre-pack service.

"The whole experience beginning with the first telephone conversation to agreeing to engage the company and then to the final moving was a good experience. The office took time to clearly explain all of the steps and key time markers through the process.
We agreed to take advantage of the fragile packing service to ensure our delicate pictures, paintings and electronics were given extra TLC.
The moving guys arrived, pleasantly introduced themselves individually and then the loading began. Everything fitted (just) including many items from our garden.
After a long days travel the small van with our mattress and essentials arrived just in time to offload the essentials for a good night's sleep before the main lorry arriving the following day.
The main lorry arrived early the next day and unloading commenced. The unloading was intense and busy but the guys were very obliging and positioned (also re-positioning several times) some items happily. By lunchtime everything was off-loaded and the guys were closing the lorry doors for the journey back to Skye. We would thoroughly recommend them to other and would definitely use them again"

"The entire experience was very positive from the initial enquiry by telephone to the first meeting with the team on to the actual removal. We found the whole engagement with the company highly professional, supportive and understanding. Unfortunately I don�t remember the names of the three movers on the day, but they were the same - professional, polite, careful. Packed everything well and didn�t brake anything. They were on time and everything went well.

We were very happy with all of them and would definitely recommend.

The Scottish Removal Service completed a very big move for us from Wiltshire to Portree, Isle of Skye. I had lived in my old cottage for 35 years and so had accumulated an awful lot of things over the years, including many large paintings and artwork. The cottage was on three floors, along with a very awkward narrow and steep staircase.

"The removal team were absolutely brilliant and despite the awkward space they moved everything smoothly and carefully with no breakages.

Billy and Ashton were so lovely, very reassuring and courteous and nothing was too much bother. Mellisa and Claire were absolutely fabulous too, great communication, good tips and so helpful and professional. I highly recommend the Scottish Removal Service and can't thank them enough."

A four-bedroom home in the Scottish Highlands to our new home 300 miles distant.

"The estimate for removal costs was realistic and covered our specific needs. The initial appraisal was accurate and with some adjustment accommodated our garden implements, plants and trees with an increase on the first estimate which was fair and acceptable.
Plentiful packing materials were supplied and the transition from house to van was achieved without fuss.
The actual day of transfer from van to our new home was achieved in good time and without damage or loss. The removal team were smartly turned out, polite and worked timeously with good humour.
Removal firms we approached were mostly helpful if a little obsessed with itemising the contents in every cupboard and drawer. This was, in my opinion, an unnecessary exercise as a sock drawer holding socks is not rocket science to work out how much it weighs!
Scottish Removal Services ticked all the boxes with their plain-speaking approach and efficient operation."

Move from Isle of Skye to Glasgow - 3 week delay between moving out of old place and moving in to new place.

"My move was very efficiently managed throughout including last minute hiccup with my buyers who couldn�t complete on planned date but didn�t let me know until my furniture was away on the van. Scottish Removals took it all in their stride, kept me calm and looked after my stuff until it could be delivered to my new address. All staff were friendly, polite, helpful with advice re packing and reassuring when things didn�t go quite to plan. Quite expensive but, overall, I think it was worth the cost for the exemplary service provided. Everything delivered to my new address on time and in one piece. I wouldn�t hesitate to recommend/use this company again."

This was a move to a house an hour away taking part of the contents of the current house. So not a straight forward move in terms of handling what''s going and what is staying. Also it was a move to a house with a entrance approach along a beach over a slightly bumpy stretch of road.

"From the first contact they were extremely helpful and responsive. They also had huge local knowledge and so knew the challenges with the delivery (including the need to plan for the tide times so the access was clear!) The price was reasonable for the work needed and the communications excellent."
