A short move across town, involving lots of stairs, a piano and a ridiculously large sofa!

"House moves are deemed to be one of the most stressful of life events. Metro worked so very hard to make sure that this wouldn't happen.
The team of four had put in quite a lot of prep in the lead up to our move and so the day arrived with a feeling of confidence that we would be ok.
For 12 hours, these guys put in a huge shift and they did so with humour and good spirits, even when sofas wouldn't fit through doors.
We would certainly recommend Metros to our friends and family."

"The move was stress free, thoroughly professional at all times. A full inventory was given to us. We had our home contents in storage for six weeks and then delivered to our new home. The communication throughout was thorough, informative and always kept us in the loop. Payment was simple via a bank transfer. Good group of people who we would highly recommend."

Our move was challenging as our new driveway wasn''t big enough for a large lorry. However, Metro worked around this without drama and came up with a great solution which relieved some of the pressure on the day of the move too. We also used them for their packing service, which was excellent and very efficient.

"I found Metro really helpful. When I was showing them round our house for the initial quote, nothing phased them and they had a solution for every challenge. They then needed to change the types of vehicle a week before the move, which again was no drama. They definitely helped remove some of the stress.

Their packing team were very efficient and really looked after our things, packed them well and were very quick.

"We were so happy with Dean and Liam, our removal men � they worked incredibly hard and made the whole moving process so much easier for us. When we arrived at our new house, they even helped put our furniture together and made sure to ask if there was anything else we needed before they left, which was such a thoughtful touch.

From the very beginning, the whole company was so reassuring. Even when we didn�t know exactly what date we�d be moving, Samantha was fantastic on the phone, telling us not to worry and that we could even reach out at the weekend if needed.

"We used Metro Removal Company for our move on the 31st and couldn�t be happier with the service. The team was friendly, polite and incredibly efficient from start to finish. They worked quickly but carefully, making what could have been a stressful day feel completely manageable. In fact, they made moving house by far the easiest part of the whole process! I�d highly recommend Metro to anyone looking for a reliable, professional and genuinely great moving experience. I don't plan on moving again but if I do I will be using Metro again without a doubt!"

February 2023 Metro Removals moved us from our home to our new residence and also took the majority of our possessions into long term storage which came to an end in May 2025 when they returned everything to us.

"Having moved us out of our home in 2023, the majority of our possessions were in storage with Metro Removals. During storage, we needed to access our crates. Metro Removals were not only obliging in arranging this for us, but helped us remove what we needed and pack our van. They then rearranged our crates so we were able to go from paying for 5 each month to only paying for 3.
May 2025 saw us finally able to bring our possessions home. Again, Metro Removals were quick to respond to our request and arrangements were made. The two staff members who delivered everything were punctual, friendly, smart and efficient.
A brilliant service from meeting Lee the first time in 2023 to concluding in May 2025 - HIGHLY RECOMMEND"

For us, this was a complex move. Phase one was to move all our ''surplus'' chattels and furniture into storage. Phase two was to move from Rushden to North Norfolk. Phase three was to deliver our ''surplus'' from storage some 12 weeks later.

3 storey house to 3 storey house with a three hour trip in between.

"A really smooth experience from initial contact through survey, quote, booking and the two days of move.
Sam in the office was really helpful, and Dean and the team were excellent.
Think they could have done with another person on loading day, as we went on a bit into the afternoon, but they set off early the next morning and unloading was quick and efficient.
Very happy with the service and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I can only apologise for the amount of heavy boxes we asked them to take up to the second floor!

We moved 200 miles with one days notice. Metro couldn''t have been more helpful and accommodating.

"Metro were very accommodating when the move date changed.
Whilst we weren't able to move up country on the same day we moved out, they moved us in only a few days later.
The best we could hope for with less than 24 hrs notice.

Still feel the rate was extortionate but all 8 quotes we got in the end were very similar.

The guys were all friendly and helpful."

Moving from Northants to Somerset in March 2025. We had a crew of 3 led by Lee who were very organised, friendly and professional. The van beat me to our new house! Everything was done in an understated way that took a lot of the stress away.

"We moved in March 25. It was a big relocation from Northants to Somerset. We had a crew of 3 led by Lee to pack and a crew of 2 to unload at the other end. It was all done very professionally and without fuss. Nothing seemed too much trouble. After the team left on the Monday we arrived, myself and partner reflected on how happy we were with the way the move had gone. It was the best price across the four firms that quoted. I would definitely recommend Metro Removals to other people."

"From start to finish , Metro were superb,and even when the move was delayed due to legal issues,they kept their original quote .we had additional questions which they visited us and carefully explained our move schedule again to allay our questions .
Steve and Liam were brilliant and worked like true professionals,handling our possessions with care and packing carefully and there were no damages .
We cannot thank these lads enough and even when finished ,they asked if there was anything else needed to be moved elsewhere in the house .
Brilliant service at a very reasonable cost ."
