We had our furniture and belongings moved into storage gor 2 weeks, and then moved to our new home about 80 miles away.Inclded dismantling and reassembly of 4 beds and two large wardrobes. Whole service excellent.

Britannia moved us from our rather large house in Yorkshire - it involved three and a half days in total with careful packing, from a Noritake bone china dinner service t a rather heavy teak bar.

"We were dreading the move - as most people know, it can be very stressful and disruptive, but Britannia made it as smooth as it was possible to be. The packers worked so hard and were very willing, amiable and could not do enough to please. We would highly recommend Sean and his team"

"The move was two -part -- household collected on an afternoon, delivered the following morning. Both times the movers were on time, and always polite and helpful.They didn't even complain when I forgot sugar for the tea!"

House move - achieved whilst the access road and drive to the new house was being tarmacked. Your team took it all in their stride and without stress.

"Excellent service. You were not the cheapest quote but came as a recommendation from our daughter and son in law who you moved almost a year ago.

Your removal team were friendly, courteous, careful and considerate. And didn't stress in adversity - the access road and drive was being tarmacked when we moved in and they managed to work around the tarmac gang."

House move; some furniture required disassembling and reassembling e.g triple wardrobe

"Very friendly and efficient team; respectful to property as they handled it; came out to check the items to be moved before quoting which meant we felt that the quote was justified for the number & size of items (other firms do not do this). The only thing we would change is that we did not realise how large the lorry would be and how it would need to access the driveway, so we needed to ask to use part of neighbouring drive."

Moving between houses. Completely satisficed with service; excellent team of 4 - careful, friendly and hard working. Packing of breakable items went without hitch and nothing broken after unpacking. Furniture (beds and settee) dismantled and re-built.

"From initial contact - arranging a survey and receiving quotation - through to the actual move all the stages were straightforward. Appointments were carried out on time, changes to the original quotation were handled quickly. All the personnel involved were just right for the move; they worked well as a team and were careful in handling our property. No complaints or suggestions for improvement."

We moved out of a village 10 miles from Scarborough, the day before we exchanged contracts and completed and into storage as our purchase wasn''t completed. Instead of an expected 3 weeks our move out of storage and into our new home near Skipton took place over 7 weeks later. The move was out of a 4 bedroom detached house with double garage to a similar property. The price below does not include insurance or storage which came to £578 for 7 weeks for 5 containers, a very competitive storage charge.

"This was a stressful move for various reasons but the service from Britannia Whitby Olivers could not be faulted. From the initial survey, the quote, the office contacts with Gary and the guys who removed us, especially Rich, all aspects of the service was first class. Polite, helpful, careful, attention to detail and efficient. Just what you need at one of life's more stressful times. We would unreservedly recommend them as for removals.
PS the one item that was forgotten to be picked up from storage was a set of ladders. These were delivered from York to Skipton the next week!!"

The move was a straightforward transfer of household goods from one side of York to the other. We did the packing and as such the move just covered the loading, unloading and transportation of goods.

Removal from house to store on two separate dates, then from store to new house on single day a week later.

"Due to delays in our buyer exchanging contracts we lost our original moving dates as we couldn't commit without a firm purchasing contract. Hence the split move but the Company was very cooperative in arranging new dates and were very efficient and helpful throughout.

We had some really heavy and awkward pieces but the teams coped very well with the whole thing and remained cheerful all the way through. The final removal from our old property was, due to the delay, on the day we had to leave the house and the team worked swiftly and tirelessly to get the job done.

They were very polite, all introduced themselves and always were vocally appreciative of the cups of tea!
