Moving from a three bed family home to a small two bed mews house with access issues.

"Quick and easy to get a quote and the company had moved the previous occupier out so weee fully aware of the access issues. They were on time, polite and cheerful. They were careful not to let my cats escape before they were locked away. They were friendly and worked quickly. They explained everything that was going to happen and kept to agreed timescales. They were quick and efficient at the other end and asked where things needed to go rather than assuming. They went the extra mile and dropped off a large item of furniture to my sister on the way! They made a really stressful day just that little bit easier. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them."

The actual move was only approximately 3 miles but we move date had to be changed several times due to lack of legal information

"Ede Bros were incredibly patient with us in arranging a moving date and eventually packing commenced even before exchange although exchange occurred mid-day.

Move over three days to two separate addresses about 70 miles away from the old address. Included a piano.

"Excellent service from start to finish from a very pleasant and professional team. They were punctual and careful with my property and near and tidy.

The team asked questions as appropriate to ensure nothing went to the wrong place, they helped to disconnect the washing machine which was over and above, and they coped with no fuss at all with the awkward and heavier items. Very personable individuals who worked hard but were patient and made time for a quick chat when appropriate.

I would also like to highlight the clear and professional communication from the sales/administration office.

We decided to put our belongings into storage to facilitate decorating, recarpeting and generally updating our home.

"They were excellent from the start to finish. Polite and helpful, a pleasure to have in our home.
They accommodated several changes of date ( due to a well-known bedroom furniture manufacturer's extreme incompetence) without complaint.
From the start of the process Sophie and Lee were great and explained everything very well.
The packing was done very carefully, and when the boxes and furniture were returned, they accommodated our requests to move things upstairs and downstairs very cheerfully.
Throughout the whole process everyone has been a pleasure to deal with, and we do not hesitate to recommend them for removal and storage requirements."

The move was effortless thanks to the professional, and friendly service from Edes Brothers. It was more like your friends helping out. I met a James who is the nephew of a friend of mine. He the rest of the lads made the whole moving process stress free. Nothing was too much trouble.

"Lee, visited us for a free quotation and advised us on how to go about securing a date once exchange of contracts was completed. He advised on costs, insurance, making claims for any damage etc. The day before we moved they arrived punctually at 8 am to commence the bulk of the loading. Very friendly, helpful lads. More like family friends helping out. Brilliant. Next day, again arriving promptly at 8. Completion at 10.30. On the road arriving at new address at 12. Straight into the unloading. Everything placed where we wanted. No damage to anything. They took care of our property and all with a smile. Excellent. Today service is usually poor and indifferent so it’s a breath of fresh air to meet meet people that take a pride in their work. Will highly recommend them."

Moved from a two bed rental to three bed house as first time buyers.

"Ede Bros were fantastic from start to finish, from talking with Sophie on the phone to Lee coming and quoting for us. They were always friendly and respectful and we valued being able to call and ask questions.

We opted for a packing service which happened the day before the move. Apart from being surprised by how much stuff we had, the packing was very thorough and all fragile items were taken care of.

The move was very quick and we off loaded the boxes to our new house on the Friday. The boxes were all labelled and the team placed them in the relevant rooms. We managed to unpack the most of the items over the weekend and after a quick call to the team, the boxes were collected on the Monday.

The key challenge is trying to accommodate everything.

Moved us from our flat in Horsham to a house in Dorking. No issues on the day. Everything went very smoothly thanks to the Ede Bros team. Moved the washing machine without any issues. Took apart the bedframe and put it back together at the new house. Nothing damaged or lost. Everything put in the correct place.

"Excellent service from everyone at Ede Bros. Everything was explained in detail. Boxes, paper and tape were all provided a few weeks before the moving date. Boxes have been collected after the moving.

Did not have to lift a single box on the moving day.

Everything went very smoothly. No issues at all.

All the items were handled with care.

We had furniture moved from 2 locations in Sussex to South Yorkshire and then from one of the Sussex addresses to a nearby 4 floor flat. There were some delicate items which were moved professionally in line with our requests. There were boxes of books prepacked.

"The administration from initial email contact and subsequent phone conversations was simple and professional. Quotations matched our requirements and we were able to make adjustments. The date agreed was Saturday, this was no problem. The van and operatives arrived on time and worked swiftly. The operatives were friendly and professional. The removal to South Yorkshire happened on time and was swift. The second move was completed on time and in under the estimated quotation time. On both occasions a discount was applied for the quicker time taken which I thought was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this firm."

We downsized from a relatively modern home to a listed property. The listed property has low ceilings and low doorways in places and a very tight staircase. Despite the obstacles, the team used the initiative and problem solving skills to overcome any problems that they encountered.

"We used Ede’s packing service as well as their removal service.

When obtaining quotes, Lee & Sophie were brilliant at explaining things over the phone, email and face-to-face which reduced our stress instantly.

It was well worth paying the extra for the packing service which included making the beds and wardrobes.

All the chaps (Neil, Norman, Lee & Matt) who helped were efficient, polite, friendly and went above & beyond to help us. Sophie was always happy to help before the move too & her communication was excellent.

They are clearly very experienced and each of the team knew what they were doing which again minimised stress and filled us with confidence.

We are extremely thankful and we would thoroughly recommend them to anyone."

"You never know how much you have until you move but the packers did a great job from start to finish. If there was a problem it was resolved with no fuss and everything was at the new property when I arrived.

"Impressive service from start to finish. In person assessment of items to move to give an accurate quote and were happy to collect items from a couple of locations. Office staff were very helpful and patience over our move which could not be fully confirmed until a week before. Packers did a great job and took all the hassle out of packing up the house and garden. The moving crew were very efficient and professional on the 3 day move. We were moving from flat to flat from Surrey to the South Coast. Ede Brothers provided all of the packing boxes etc, we then did our own packing. The company realised that there was a height limit for parking at the new address so provided appropriate vehicles for the move.

"Our move of home was made all the easier with the help of Ede Brothers. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

From the initial meeting for their representative to check what needed to be moved, through the communication with their office keeping us up to date on the move, to the three guys who actually moved us, we dealt with very friendly people who actually cared that as customers we were given their best service.

I used Ede Brothers some 20+ years ago, used them again now and will definitely be using them for the next move that we make.
