Estate and Letting Agents
It is a legal requirement for Estate and Letting Agents to join a Government-approved redress scheme. The two schemes approved by the National Trading Standards Estate Agency Team are:
- Property Redress Scheme
- The Property Ombudsman

New legislation has been introduced which means that from 1 October 2014 it is a legal requirement for all lettings agents and property managers in England to join one of three Government-approved redress schemes.
Trading Standards - National Estate Agency Team - NTSEAT
The National Trading Standards Estate Agency Team of Powys County Council is the UK’s regulator under the Estate Agents Act 1979 and is responsible for approving and monitoring consumer redress schemes.
