About Us

HessianCole Building Services are a small team with extensive experience and knowledge installing, replacing and repairing VELUX windows.
We are long standing members of the VELUX Certified Installer Partnerhsip. We are fully vetted by VELUX and the government endorsed Trustmark scheme.

Full Installation of a 14" Velux Sun Tunnel to provide light into a dark landing with no windows.

"Neil Hussian, was the main contact during the quotation process, and provided the Quote and the initial delivery date. This unfortunately had to be pushed due to one of the parts delivery date was later than expected. I was given plenty of notice and he was able to accommodate my availability to the following week.

Neil, and his team (2 Others) arrived on time and following introductions began work. All vulnerable carpet's, flooring etc were covered by dustsheets and ensured that where ladders were used on internal painted walls that the touch points were padded to protect the paintwork, the whole process took just over 3 hours.

The team were very efficient, dividing up the work to ensure minimal disruption and the finish was excellent, the attic was cleaned before leaving. The attention to detail was also excellent, even noticing that an old broken tile adjacent to the external window and replacing with one from the window installation.

Each member were happy to answer questions when asked regarding the installation.

I highly recommend Neil and his team and would not hesitate to use them, or recommend them to friends...

Hessian Cole were asked to install a Velux window to ground floor kitchen and a velux light tunnel on a first floor landing.

"The quote was very competitive. A suitable time was agreed for installation; Neil and his team arrived as agreed and quickly set about their work in less than favourable weather conditions. Their work was swift and very tidy causing absolutely minimal disruption to the house. The velux window was fitted on day 1, with plastering and finishing off set for day 2 together with the fitting of the light tunnel. All work was completed to a very high standard and on time. Mary Poppins would have been pleased with the post work cleaning!! A good job. Thoroughly recommend Hessian Cole."

Fitting of Velux twin Balcony System

"Our main bedroom is a room in the roof, so we had twin Velux normal windows fitted 10 years ago.

As we overlook fields, we wanted a better view, with the Velux balcony system, so as to open the room up a bit and get the new triple glazed versions (which are really good BTW) for noise and insulation.

The balcony windows are very big, heavy and complicated, and there was no way we were leaving installation to chance, so I contacted Velux to find some registered installers around Milton Keynes.

Of all the ones I contacted Neil was the most helpful and the only timely one to respond.

I was dissapointed with the number of replies for quotes and Velux could not help much with their installer list. Apart from actually replyinh and getting in touch, the stand out thing for Neil at Hessian Cole was the number and quality of references on his website, no other comapny came close when it came Velux installations.

His references were so good, I thought that I have to try this guy - and wow - I was not dissapointed!! Neil and his guys are brilliant, he is firstly a very nice guy, he's also genuine, honest, professional, knows his stuff and does a brilliant job - I/we cannot fault him one bit, nor thank him enough for excellent workmanship - absolutely first class.

On a final point, there was a minor scratch on the glass when we unboxed them and Neil has dealt directly with Velux to get them to come out and fix it - So, if you want Velux installed, speak to Neil!!"

"From start to finish this was a highly professional service. Neil and his team were clear about what would suit our requirements and clear on costings and timescales. On the day, the job was completed quickly with minimum disruption. The whole site was left clean and tidy with little for us to do except for some minimal touching up. The new windows are fantastic and we were assured that if any issues arise we can contact the firm for assistance. All in all, an excellent job and we will certainly recommend the firm to our local friends and acquaintances."

Replacement Velux Windows Remove tiles surrounding roof windows and set aside for reuse. Remove and dispose of 5no Keylite Windows and associated flashing kits. Make any necessary alterations to existing openings to suit new Velux dimensions. Supply and install 3no FK06 centre pivot Conservation Velux windows, white painted internal finish and 70 pane standard glazing. Supply and install 2no CK04 centre pivot Conservation Velux windows, white painted internal finish and 70 pane standard glazing. Supply and install BFX felt collars and associated flashing kits for slate or tile installation. Refix roof slates/tiles, trimming where necessary. Make good any damage to internal plasterwork leaving a finish ready to decorate.

"Overall an excellent job - Knowledgeable and Helpful. Very mindful of not only doing a good job but aware that our ongoing renovations meant taking extra care.
All the team were extremely competent and considerate.

Neil from Hessian Cole was helpful before we even gave Hessian Cole the job.He understood what we needed to replace and explained the various options.
He was up front and honest about the (then) Velux manufacturing backlog - as our chosen Velux windows were of the "conservation" type.

There was a few months delay, due to Velux manufacturing timescales, but were kept updated.

When the installation date was confirmed, Hessian Cole continued to update us, and the Velux units installed on the agreed dates.

Follow-up has been good as we wanted to know if we could purchase some telescopic handles to make opening the high mounted units easier.

Our home is undergoing complete renovations. Of all the trades who have worked on our property Hessian Cole were amongst the best.

Professional, tidy and installed on-time, and in budget.
