We had an up grade on our velux roof windows to solar powered opening and window blinds were fitted, what a difference this has made they are so easy to open now, without all the fiddling with poles, should have done this much earlier!

"We found Under one Roof to be very efficient and polite they obviously knew all about the products, they worked cleanly and explained how to work the controls, which were easy to understand. Before fitting they thoroughly cleaned the windows, which we had not been able to do as they are in a vaulted roof! I would not hesitate to recommend this company to my friends, we should have done this earlier as it makes opening the windows so much easier, well worth the money. Replacement of two 38 year old GGL08 Velux Windows with new Velux windows to the top floor of a town house that has concrete roof tiles.

"I used the Velux replacement service, received a very reasonable quote via email direct from Velux and then, when I wanted to proceed, Velux made all the arrangements and found a local certified Velux Installer with a space in their diary just 3 weeks in the future. I was telephoned the day before installation by the installation company (Under 1 roof South Ltd) and told to expect 2 installers between 8 and 9am the following day. By 7:50 am both installers had arrived. It was a very satisfactory installation of replacement Velux roof Windows (GGL08). The house is a narrow town house with each room off a narrow central staircase of 31 treads with 5 half landings. Each room is on a slightly different level from the previous room. The windows that needed to be replaced were located in the loft bedroom, some 31 stair treads from the ground so a lot of muscle power was required to remove the existing windows and install the new ones as a GGL08 window measures 1.8 metres square and is extremely heavy. Challenging! We had a team of two very strong and very proficient installers and it was obvious straight away that they knew their trade. They spotted and dealt with a number of minor but challenging problems on-site. Concrete roof tiles needed to be trimmed as well and cut by rotary disk-cutter due to previous installers (38 years ago) not leaving a wide enough margin. Each tile was carefully removed, taken down 31 stairs, cut and then taken back upstairs and installed. This, understandably, took extra time and instead of taking a day the installation took a day and a half but we were informed at every stage about progress. Once finished the installers spent more time vacuuming than I have ever done before and the room looked immaculate once they had left. I am more than delighted with the quality of work and the knowledge (and stamina!) of the installers and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I recommend them wholeheartedly."

"From the first phone call and through all the site visits and installation I cannot praise this company enough! They did what they said they were going to do on the day they said and without any fuss or mess. They were all polite and hardworking and I am delighted with the end result. I didn't feel my home was being invaded and despite the unpleasant weather in February when they were installed my house was put back to normal at the end of each day. "Was happy initially that they had no problem coming over to Ryde from Portsmouth as i know a lot of companies have a problem with wanting to do work on the island because of the travelling involved. I spoke with Amy and Brian who were both very helpful.
