External insulation and render.

"Poor service from start to finish and they would turn up days apart and whenever it suited them. No communication and really poor workmanship. Complained to get various issues resolved and Nadim is a nice man but obviously cares more about money than he does his customers once work has started. Still left with shroddy rendering and 2 bay windows that won’t open. Promises to sort then you don’t hear from him. Do not use this company as all his men are subcontracted and don’t give a hoot"

Customer Review

I was given a quotation for solid wall insulation by FMTL which was approved on 25th Jan 2021. I submitted that to Green Home Grant and the voucher was issued on 10th June 2021, with an expiry date 08/09/2021. FMTL were also notified by Green Home Grant. I immediately forwarded the voucher details to FMTL expecting that the job would start soon. After that, numerous times I have been in touch with FMTL and I was told every time that work would be completed before voucher expiry. I received various reminders from Green Homes which I forwarded to FMTL immediately. As the initial expiry date was approaching I contacted the Green Homes to have that extended and it was extended to 30/11/2021. I then forwarded the extended voucher details to FMTL.

"FMTL have been consistently giving me assurances that the job will be completed before the voucher expiry. Even at that late stage, in the morning of the day (23/11/2021) when I received the cancellation letter, on the phone FMTL reassured me saying that the job will get completed though I was concerned about only a week remaining for the voucher to expire. Also the surveyor on 22/11/2021 reassured me that the job will be completed before the voucher expiry.

At no point FMTL shown any intention that they would not be able to complete the job before voucher expiry. As a result of FMTL's negligence and breach of the contract I have incurred a net financial loss of £4347.00 (grant fund contribution as they have failed to complete the job).

The company provided me quotation for external solid wall insulation and it was approved by green grant scheme. I had been waiting for the job to get completed but first voucher expiry date gone through on their false promise of work going to start soon, however I managed to get the expiry date extended by another 3 months by contacting green homes grant team. Everytime I contacted Fmtl they would promise me that the job would be completed before the expiry date. Even at the last week of second expiry date they had been assuring that the job would be done and I won’t lose the grant money. However, they failed to complete the job and as a result I lost substantial amount of approved grant."

Internal wall insulation - installation of eco-cork boards

"Force Maintainance installed eco-cork insulation in my living room. I chose this firm to do the work as it is difficult to find installers who are comfortable working with these materials. I was very happy with the result and the professionalism of their staff, and I can already feel the benefit as the room is a lot warmer."
