Empty house on day 1, and trunk haul from South Warwickshire to Cumbria for delivery into house on day 2.

" Firm was very helpful and considerate through two house sales falling through, and caring in arrangements for delivery of packing cases, and collecting unwanted cases, when the first sale fell through. Quotations and terms of business were courteously and professionally explained.

Removals operatives were the pinnacle of " old fashioned " courtesy and helpfulness. House emptying done cheerfully and quicklt, despite continuous steady rain.

We used Jamie Briggs in December 2002 for our first house move in 32 years,and our experience then and now with this recent move was so good, that we recommend them very highly. "

Domestic house move

" On the whole, very good, although not brilliant at responding to messages left on the answerphone (I twice left messages and received no repsonse for 2 days).

The packers varied in carefulness and efficiency - two were excellent and one was far less careful.

When there was a problem with damage to a piece of furniture, this was dealt with very quickly and well by the company.

There was confusion by the team about the arrangements for picking up the furniture - we had agreed a 10am start and they arrived at 8am which was very inconvenient. Also, the firm requested a change of date from that originally agreed when we booked them for the removal which we were able to accommodate. "

House move from a very packed 3 bed house into a 5 bed house.

" The team who managed our move were brilliant!

We had a very packed 3 bed rental house (as had come from 5 bed house originally). There was more stuff than a single lorry so they completed the move over 2 days, without fuss and at a very reasonable rate.

The second day of moving was further complicated as there was another removal firm delivering home contents for my mother. But they worked alongside the other firm very professionally and diligently.

The team were all polite and very respectful, and not a single item was broken or damaged.

I hope not to move again but if I do I would not hesitate in using your team again. I will definitely recommend them to friends and colleagues! "

a relatively simple move from Yarnton to Long Hanborough, export wrapping of oak furniture

" We were very pleased with Jamie Briggs (our 2nd move with the firm), however 3 men turned up at the start, one to export wrap and the other two to start the actual removal.

We were a little concerned when the "wrapper" went off at midday, his work done, leaving us with only 2 men. They were brilliant, however, but it made it a very long day, exacerbated by the inappropriate use of an enormous pantechnicon instead of something more suitably sized for our relatively small move. The men could not get it further than the gate so had to do a lot of walking to and from. "

Transfer of contents of house and garden equipment to a new address 4miles/13km away

" Never used a removal firm before; as far as I can tell they were as good as any other firm - the 3 men tackled the job with politeness and enthusiasm, and explained their procedures to us.

One of the men helped us get the central heating boiler going in the new house. There were a few breakages (3 plates, 2 wine glasses and a small photo frame, though not everything unpacked yet), but not enough to consider making a claim. "
