Moved from West Sussex to the Isle of Lewis in The Outer Hebrides, a two day journey and at a time of uncertain weather conditions and potential for ferries to be cancelled.

"Ede Brothers moved us from West Sussex to the very north of the Outer Hebrides. I had known of them for years and their reputation was one of excellence. I knew it would not be cheap but the amount of work and time involved has been totally worth it.

Their communication shone out way above any other company I had spoken with about the move and Sophie and Lee together instilled a sense of trust and reassurance from the very start. All staff were professional, friendly, polite and cheerful throughout and made a daunting and stressful task so much easier than I thought possible.

On the day of removal a team of men turned up to load the lorry and help finish the packing. They all worked incredibly hard and everything was packed and on the lorry by mid afternoon.

On arrival in the Outer Hebrides the access was very limited yet Norman and James managed to manoeuvre the huge lorry into the drive with only two inches spare on either side of the gate, they also managed it without getting stuck in the soft verges and ditches either side of the turn in which took considerable skill and daring. It meant not blocking the road for most of the day which would not have been very popular.

I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend them and am so glad we chose them for our move."

Our move took place between Tuesday 2nd and Thursday 4th April 2024. We had agreed to pack up the upstairs ahead of the packers coming to do the downstairs. There were a number of quite heavy or bulky items, including a piano.

"I was immediately impressed by Lee when he came to the house to assess the job - friendly and helpful in addressing my various questions. The correspondence that followed was equally friendly - handled by Sophie who was in touch via phone and email at various times.

The packing day went well, with an amiable team working hard through the day. A great atmosphere that made the day enjoyable and minimised the stress of the move.

The move into our new house went very well - the crew was friendly, patient and capable, nothing was too much trouble, even offering us some ideas about how things might be arranged when we were not sure.

Honestly, we cannot fault the team. It was a very good experience.

A nice surprise after the move was that given the work we had put in to packing up, the price for our move was reduced. Now not many companies would do that!

So, thanks to all at EDE BROS for five star move.

Family house move

"We were very happy with the service Ede Bros provided to us. Lee was very efficient with the quote and explaining how the move would operate. Sophie was always very friendly and helpful in her communications with us. The packing and moving was spread over several days which made the whole experience easier and less stressful for us. The move team - James, Chris and Mac were all very personable. Moving is a stressful experience but they were brilliant and their calm and friendly manner made it so much easier for us as a family. They were also very patient with our friendly and excitable young dog who loved them! Ede Bros come highly recommended by us, thank you."

Third floor flat in a one bed flat. We had loads of stuff! 13 miles to our new home. We had the packing service which is a no brainer after seeing how they worked.

"They came the day before and started to pack up the flat, I took a day off but looking back you can just leave them to it.
They filled a van on that day and the following day 3 people turned up and filled the second van leaving nothing behind. They arrived at 8am and 2 hours later we had left to the new flat. Amazing!
They took great care in the communal area of the flats laying down covers to protect the carpets.
They will in effect put all the furniture in the places you want them put your bed together the whole world.
Honestly the best money I have ever spent in a move. I normally do the move my self but after this experience I will always get ede bros to move me.
Staff were great and made what is normally a very stressful time for me super easy."

"Absolute diamond company to move home. Lee and James where very friendly and great pleasure to have in our new home. We had been at our previous address for 36 years so had a lot to move. Ede Bros were very understanding and helped us all the way throughout the move. We were late in getting our new keys, but Lee and the team were very patient and brought in extra men for the move.

My move was from Surrey to the Rhondda Valley.

"Edes were so easy to deal with and the whole move went really smoothly. They were polite, helpful and treated my belongings with great care. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again should the need arise.

Edes were the only removal company I contacted who came and gave me a fixed quote for the job. They provided extra boxes when I needed them free of charge. The people actually doing the move introduced themselves on arrival and did all they could to make a stressful couple of days easier for me.
There was a delay en route due to traffic disruption but they kept me informed by phone.

We moved to a new build ground floor flat

"Our experience with Ede Brothers was amazing, great service from start to finish , we were kept informed every step of the way and we knew what to expect on the day ,
The day of our move our two lovely lads arrived on time and were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had packed most of our things ourselves but the items i had omitted to pack was carefully placed in boxes by Edes , it was an extremely hot day but they carried on cheerfully,the lorry was packed quickly and we were on our way. At our new address everything was taken to whatever room i wanted , our metal bed was put back together again which was a great help to us ,they both worked extremely hard , i gave them cups of tea, coffee and water as it was so hot and they really appreciated it, we couldn’t have wished for two nicer lads to move us.
I would definitely use Ede Brothers again and would 100% recommend them. Price was very good and considering the amount of work involved I actually expected my bill to be more.

Ede’s moved us from Surrey to Yorkshire. A full and varied load including general household, garden furniture and specialist musical equipment.

"Ede’s moved us from Surrey to Yorkshire. We had lived in our current house for almost 20 years so it was a big move and we were worried about the scale and the distance. From the first contact Ede’s were brilliant - through estimation, administration, supplying packaging and helping us pack. They reassured us every step of the way and were incredibly professional in all aspects of the task. Every member of staff we encountered was unfailingly excellent. The oversight of the whole process by Lee and Sophie was the rock that held it all together and special mention of Chris and Mac who drove the lorry and unloaded in Yorkshire. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They went the extra mile for us in every way. Ede’s made a very stressful process largely stree free! We unreservedly recommend this company."

Moved from a large 2 bed maisonette with garden etc in Dorking to Capel.

"Amazing and would highly recommend Ede Bros! The whole team were spot on from start to finish. Respectful of our furniture, very efficient, happy to go the extra mile to navigate a very awkward and heavy pot plant up several flights of stairs with a smile on the faces. They were in good spirit with lots of banter, despite the heavy rain! Thanks Ede Bros we'll use you again next time."
