This is the second time we have used Fox & Sons Removals and as the first move went like a dream we didn''t even consider asking for other quotes for our most recent move. It was a relatively long distance (but the M25 didn''t seem to phase them!). They are professional, very helpful, and we felt the trust could allow us to relax throughout the move. We were not disappointed.

We actually had a lot more (heavy) items then we thought but the packing and carrying went exceptionally well and without complaint or comment by them.

The speed of packing was amazing and the logistic thought to the order of unpacking was arranged to perfection.

We moved from Hampshire to Cardiff with our possessions taken into storage, this was a 2 day operation.

"There were three operations staff who worked tirelessly and effectively and communicated with us to ensure we understood what was being done every step of the way.

Our removal date was very close to exchange of contracts and we had to shift it a week at the last minute which did necessitate a cancellation charge for the first planned move date. Fox removals were patient and did all they could to accommodate us during this uncertain period.

The guys travelled the 150 miles and turned up both days on time and quickly got stuck into the task in hand. They had a quick cup of tea or coffee but did not loiter."

Full pack and Move. 3 bed house to storage for 5 weeks then on to bigger property 80 miles away. 11 crates. Trans ship at final destination due to access. 2 days at each end.

"Company local to original home location. Well known, preference for “main dealer” company.
Original quote not competitive.
Circumstances of move changed and chain was broken requiring move to and from store. Trans-ship need also noted.
Other companies originally quoted became unaffordable and Fox was only a modest rise in price.

Originally quoted a 3 day move. This became 4 days necessitating Saturday premium.
None of the days was particularly long or complicated- they started early, worked hard but finished early too.

Agreement was for last goods packed to be first goods delivered. This was lost in storage and trans ship. Boxes of essential items, kettle, tools, fixings etc was actually last stuff delivered.
This was not the delivery team’s fault, they had apparently not had any instructions to this effect and crates become jumbled in store.

The whole cost was more than double my wildest imagination. I sincerely hope the men who were with us and did the work were handsomely rewarded. I felt I couldn’t afford a meaningful tip for everyone.
I think delivery could have been achieved in 1.5 days avoiding Saturday premium. They were done by 11am on Saturday. All were adamant the original move would be 3 days but in and out of store was 2+2. I disagree.

Zero breakage. Utterly amazing! AND with trans ship. Very careful and professional handling all round!"

It was a Friday move to a new home 72 miles away from our previous home where our vendor was also being moved by Fox on the same day.

"From first contacting Fox via their online contact system I was called by Simeon who arranged a video conference date& time which he kept and from that conference prepared an estimate for our move. All relevant information was also provided on their email which had links to their online booking system
Fox were flexible with the date of the move within reason.

The movers were very efficient and quick and both teams helped each other so that we were all done and in by 2pm.
No damage was caused whatsoever to any of our items."

Boys were fab that packed everything up, arrived on time and did not stop.

"Only thing i wasnt happy with was how the wardrobe hanging items were packed. We have previously used this company before and previously wardrobe boxes were used for hanging items.
This time large boxes were used and this meant clothes had to be folded in half to fit in the box.
On opening the boxes to hang up my clothes they were all creased and needed to be ironed… not happy at all about this…. And im not just talking one box, all boxes of hanging stuff had to be ironed😡😡.
You need to think about this and not just fold clothes over to fit in a box if they are on hangers,
This was very costly for me as i pay to have ironing done and was not expecting this

removing items from wall, packing up entire house (some boxes already packed) and putting into storage containers. Paid for removal of items to containers...and subsequent transport to new home after storage.

"Team of two arrived on time and managed to put all items into THREE containers instead of 4 or even 5 as originally advised. This is a good point. Both packers were polite and careful and and advised us during the entire procedure. However, they did not possess appropriate tools for dismantling items. Furthermore, the whole process took 2-2.5 hours longer than estimated because there were only TWO packers. We had advised three since there were a few very heavy and awkward items to be removed from tricky places."
