Internal move in East Grinstead, about 1/2 mile only. Impressed with what was achieved on day 1, which reduced work load on day 2, the day of moving. Delivery was over 2 days but we fully understand why, did not suffer too much with missing items over the weekend. It did give time to settle in before the 2nd wave hit us. Totally delighted with the team, Mark the lead was fantastic.

"I have to say that we are not planning to move again. However this move was handled in a very professional manner by Martell's and we are very happy with the service provided. A few items got squashed, but we can live with that. Moving is not without its risks.

We would use Martell's again, but as we are not planning to move again, all we can do is to recommend the company to others moving house.

Yes, moving house is very stressful, I can vouch for that, this week has been very stressful indeed. The stress comes from the chain falling into place, finding problems in your new home that you were not informed about amongst what else can stress you out on moving day."

The removals and storage went very smoothly.

"The guys were friendly, efficient did the job very willingly.

However, when everything was unpacked there were several boxes missing that have not turned up.

The items included were :
2 large pots [vases],
3 small glass vases,
a bathroom rug,
a teapot,
kitchen china.

Long distance 2.5 day removal during hot weather with very delayed completion on moving day

"Martells was very easy to deal with from start to finish. We had a long distance 2.5 day move and we were able to reserve a provisional moving date with them even though we had a lot of delays and potential changes in trying to exchange contracts and secure a completion date.

The guys (sorry I can’t remember their names) arrived promptly on the 1st day and were very efficient & friendly, starting to load the lorry despite the weather being extremely hot. They seemed very relaxed which made it all a lot less stressful for us.

On moving day, despite our completion being delayed until late in the day, they waited patiently, then got on with unloading straight away, still managing to leave us with all the essentials for the evening and overnight.

They arrived back early the following morning and finished unloading. They talked to us throughout the process, and if not clear, checking with us where to put things.

I would definitely recommend Martells, from everyone in the office to the removal team, really happy with the whole experience. Thank you

Martell''s moved us from a large 4 bed house to a small 2 bed bungalow. They moved our classic motor bike and quite a lot of plants successfully (except one) considering the extreme heat this amazing thank you guys.

"Excellent company we have used them twice. Once very recently and another 33 years ago.

They were VERY efficient, VERY hardworking and VERY polite. Quality and care, politeness and efficiency still all amazing.

Relocation of my elderly mother and her piano from East Grinstead to Farnham, which was a first floor flat

"I cannot praise them highly enough. From the first moment we met to discuss the initial quote right through. All the ups and downs of the protracted process of getting to a completion date. And then for the move itself everything was conducted with the upmost professionalism and courtesy with maximum flexibility and helpfulness throughout.

It was always easy to make contact and everyone we spoke to was cheerful and helpful.

The crew doing the packing and moving were friendly and incredibly hard-working and seem to really enjoy their work and providing such a good service which is such a great help during the stressful process of moving, especially when it involves relocating an elderly lady who has lived in the same location for 40 years. My whole family are very grateful for the Care that was shown in the thoroughness to which they carried out the job

The packing day was a Friday and over the weekend. My mum had an unscheduled minor operation which meant that she could not return for the moving out day on Monday. The Removals team just rolled up their sleeves and excel by making it possible for us not to have to make a journey to do the last minute things that we should have been doing such as moving personal effects and television that was mounted to the wall. They carried out these extra services for us and even found time to put the Hoover around before departing and we cannot express enough gratitude for this and also the way they so cheerfully helped us while unpacking as unfortunately the previous occupant of the new Property had left quite a few items which we needed to move so they even helped us with that.

Moving house is not something we need to do often, but I would not hesitate to recommend the team at Martels for providing such a friendly, comprehensive and caring service. All of Mum‘s ornaments with painstakingly wrapped and not one single item was damaged or broken in the move. Jewellery such as necklaces had even been taken care of so it did not arrive tangled. Thank you once again."

"The initial visit and assessment was very helpful in identifying the exact service I needed. Finalising my requirements and dates was done very efficiently.

Four day house move to new home an hour away. Lots of garden/garsge equipment.

"Martells provided us with all the necessary removal packaging such as boxes, bubble wrap and tape within a day of asking. They communicated effectively. Our moving house was over 4 days due to amount of possessions we had.

First two days our items were put in containers by professional polite gentlemen. On removal day they finished removing the last parts and arrived at our new house where they placed our items exactly where we wanted them without hesitation.

Move from 3 bed house in Edenbridge to a Park Home in Paddock Wood.

"We had problems with our chain and had to keep moving the completion date. This went on for several weeks and Martells were brilliant. They were totally understanding and when we finally exchanged and had to move the next day they went out of their way to achieve this for us.

The team were great. They were friendly, very professional and efficient. All of our items were packed with care and nothing got broken when we arrived at the other end.

Moving into our new home was made so easy as they had labelled everything so well we knew exactly where they had to put the boxes as they unloaded. Again they were very efficient.

I cannot thank Martells enough for everything regarding our move. They made a very stressful time so much easier. I highly recommend them."

"Martell's were a pleasure to deal with, from initial booking, very quick removal date offered and on the day Terry and Kieran were calm and reassuring that my lovely furniture was in safe hands.

The speed they worked was impressive and they made the moving of heavy furniture seem easy. My furniture was unloaded and placed in each room soon after lunch.

Major relocation from Surrey to Cornwall. Large property with items including grandfather clocks, piano, rocking horse, etc. Transport of vehicle to location as well. Full packing service of household and garden equipment.

"Martells were easy to work with. From the original quotation it felt as though they were interested and cared. They answered all our questions clearly and gave us options for dealing with more complex items. The execution of the move was handled expeditiously and well. Items were well packed and handled with appropriate care. Unloading was very quick and effective and the team were helpful in placing furniture and boxes.

Kieron drove our second car to Cornwall as part of the package which was very helpful. He and Frank were helpful, polite and made the move as easy and smooth as possible."

The packed well and moved the boxes into the relevant rooms, they moved a couple of heavy items that I wanted in different positions.
