From the home quotation done thro Whattsapp with Billy to the guys departing from our new home at 8.00pm the service was 5 star*.

"All the boys were very hardworking ..nothing was a problem ..even all the kiln jars of Chutney !..a superb job lead by William & Sam . We overlooked the base of the sundial which was still in ground…Kerrs returned to St Andrews armed with a spade to dig it up & reunited it with our gear which was in storage with Kerrs!!!"

"Guys were brilliant. Everything handled with care, very quick, excellent service. From the start of the process (getting quote), to the removal, everything was faultless. Really took out the stress of moving, very calm approach which is reassuring in such a stressful time. Everyone was so nice, five star customer service. They even arranged my parking suspension. Thank you to everyone at Kerr’s - couldn’t have went any smoother, will be my first choice and will recommend to anyone I know moving!"

We used Kerr''s of Edinburgh for our move out of a rented flat in Edinburgh to a house in St Albans. The move was straightforward but our flat was on the second floor and some items were too big and had to be carried down the stairs. In addition, a large and heavy table top (which had been lost by another more famous moving company) turned up at the last minute and Kerr''s were pleased to help take it down and install it with no fuss or extra charge.

"I had intended to use a larger, international moving company whom I had used before, but their quote was too high. Kerr's were significantly cheaper and so I decided to go with someone new but was concerned about quality.

However I am happy to report that everything about the experience from the first phonecall to final delivery and afterwards was excellent. I could not recommend Billy and his family more highly - their enthusiasm for the work and level of service was outstanding.

Billy Kerr visited our flat and was experienced enough to estimate volumes and packing times accurately (so we were always on or a little ahead of schedule). Contracting and payment was easy with their on-line systems. Insurance was discussed and we worked out a way to exclude high value items to keep it competitive. Boxes were delivered ahead of time. Jeff arrived a day ahead to help us with packing and got through a mountain of work the day before our move. There were no breakages. William Kerr and his team handled the move out and move in efficiently. They worked really hard, solved some tricky lifting problems - as well as being polite, cheerful and generally pleasant to work with.

As mentioned above, they were willing to accept a large item at the last minute that had been missed from an earlier move by another company. During the move in, they helped me with rearranging some furniture which was too heavy for me alone. At the end of the move they took away all the packing materials (and then searched through them all for items I had thought were missing but actually weren't).

I rarely write reviews but I am pleased to recommend Kerr's of Edinburgh as an excellent moving company."

"We were extremely impressed with the professionalism and efficiency with which Kerr's packed and moved our possessions. The move went very smoothly with minimum stress thanks to all of the help they provided.

"The removal process was smooth from start to finish. We took on Kerrs as a last minute replacement for a local firm that could not fulfil their promise.

The calmness and speed of response was faultless.

The team of estimator, packer and removals team were excellent.

Help with wrapping stored furniture and putting heavy mirror on the wall was of particular value to us.

The move was a fairly routine house move, not too much furniture but 77 boxes of household goods. We moved some 20 miles. The packing was done on 1 day and the move completed on the following day.

"From start to finish, Kerrs were first class. They offered a price that was much more competitive than others; the person who came to assess the job was polite, informed and professional. The packer worked hard all day to pack everything that was being moved. The 3 young men who came to effect the removal were hard-working, polite, friendly towards us and each other, and helpful beyond what we might have expected. "Kerr's was the most expensive quote that we had received from three reputable removing companies in Edinburgh. We employed them because of their availability as we only had a few days to prepare for our moving out of the old house. Their services were very good and their staff were polite. There staff was not only polite but always had a smile on their face. There were days when I thought this load could be a bit of challenge for them and if it was they didn’t show it. A move from rural Lanarkshire to Edinburgh.

"I can unreservedly recommend Kerr’s Edinburgh. Our sale progressed really quickly and I contacted them on the recommendation of my son who had also used them, thinking I was probably short of time to plan. They could not have been more helpful. Because we lived a bit away they did a video walkthrough of my house with me to allow me to show them the job. Quickly following that they provided me with the quote for packing and removal. I felt the price was very good and did not hesitate to accept the quote.
Following acceptance and before any payment I was provided with all relevant information. We were also offered storage space at their depot, we didn’t require this but it was also very reasonably priced had we needed it.
We then informed them of our moving date and they discussed with us a detailed moving plan. What I loved was it was all arranged to happen over a few days, this relieved the stress of fully packing vans etc on actual moving day.
Two days before move day our packer arrived. He was amazing, carefully packing all of our prized possessions with care. There was a lot to do but he stayed positive and cheery throughout.
Day before moving day they came en masse to finish packing and fill the van.
We chose to stay in a hotel that night, but they would have left our bed until the next day if we wanted, we just chose to be completely done the day before. The young man who led the packing team was another outstanding young man. So polite, helpful and positive. We were having a couple of last minute issues with finalising the sale and purchase and he was so reassuring, he really helped put us at ease.
So all packed and onto moving day. We were just told to phone when we had the keys. We did so and they arrived within the hour and then started an efficient unload. Asking us to stand and ‘boss’ them directing where things should go. Again carried out quickly and efficiently with good humour. Even moving the occasional item when we got things wrong without question. Including the rebuilding of our beds.
We were left all the boxes to unpack at our leisure and they collected them once we let them know they were ready.
All items were undamaged and in perfect condition.
From start to finish it was 5 star service."

It was a complicated move with the contents of the house being sold with half the contents going into storage, and half going to a new property. The storage contents went to an other property 4 months later, with a few items being dropped off at one of our children''s home on route. The original sale fell through and then was activated again 3 months later, with Kerr''s commitment to ensure the move would go smoothly when it happened.

"We have moved many times before, this was the 10th time and by far the most complicated. Kerr's were outstanding and by far the best removal company we have used. Nothing seemed to cause a problem, and they were calm and clear in handling all our needs. All the staff we encountered were polite , friendly and professional. The removal men were extremely hard working and nothing was too much trouble, they very much worked and acted as a team.
Everything was well packed and labelled, and we had no damages or breakage.

We would have no reservations in recommending Kerr's to our family and friends."

"Kerr's did our removal from London to Edinburgh in September 2022 - most of our stuff then went intyo storage until we found a permanent home in December. They were perfect from start to finish - estimating, planning, the packing up in London, the final move into our new house in Ediburgh. Really professional and also very nice people to deal with. Move to storage facility; furniture storage for 14 months; move from storage facility to new property.

"Our dealings with Kerr's of Edinburgh was excellent from start to finish. They removed our belongings from our property and stored them at their secure facility for 14 months, which included a very cold winter. During this time I required unexpected access to my container and this was granted without question. I also required an additional container to store new furniture I had purchased but was unable to take delivery of due to my new build's completion date over-running. Kerr's provided this with ease and even assisted in transferring the goods to the container on the day, which was very much appreciated! The removal from storage to my new property went very well. The two lads were excellent - very polite, pleasant and respectful of my property. Really nice guys to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Similarly, my dealings with Blair are worthy of mention - always very pleasant and happy to assist with any queries I had. Of note is the fact that my property had been stored for 14 months and nothing was damaged or damp - everything was in the same condition it was stored in.
I hope it's a while before I need removal men again but I would have absolutely no hesitation in using Kerr's of Edinburgh again, or in recommending them to others. They were excellent to deal with and their storage charges were very reasonable too!"

Sold our 3 bedroom house and our new one wasn’t ready for a month, Kerr’s arrived on time and took the stress away by being friendly, professional and organised, in only 3 hours everything was securely packed up including a 2.4 by 1.4 solid table and 2 very large sofas that needed the arms detached to get out of the house

"I’ve never seen men graft so hard and and be so cheerful, they stored it safely for a month and on moving in day arrived perfectly timed for us getting the keys to our new home and again set everything back in to our home very smoothly with no issues.

Provided some boxes, loaded, moved, stored and delivered. During the storage, popped into add a few extras and Kerr''s obliged without a fuss.

"I just phoned from the internet, didn't know them and they turned out to be A+++++!

This work was carried out from city to city 300 miles apart in a skilful and professional manner. The young men who came to load and take were exceptionally polite, preventing us from helping. They stayed a full day. They were very courteous.

A slighter bigger number delivered and were fantastic. Very efficient & courteous.

The whole team including the owners/managers are so professional and polite.

Excellent, stress-free experience. Highly recommended, please use them!
