We were moving from a Forester''s Cottage in the Forest of Dean to our new house in Rushden, Northants. Our move included all of the usual furniture, household items with multiple boxes etc but we also had a huge number of indoor and outdoor plants, some in very large pots, some very delicate and others very spikey! My husband also had a huge workshop and garage full of ''stuff'' and I had several antique clocks including a large, valuable Grandfather Clock

"Herbert Davies Removals Ltd turned what is widely known as being one of the most stressful times in a person's life to being not too bad at all!

The initial visit, to provide a quote, left us feeling calm and reassured that nothing we were asking to be moved was difficult or unusual and that they had all bases covered. We were given really useful advice and offered the use of various packing materials, as needed, when the time came. The quote was slightly lower than others we received and they offered a simple solution for our move.

Our sale fell through twice and our dates kept changing but throughout communication was excellent and they were very understanding and reasonable in their expectations with regard to our ability to give a precise date!

When the time came the staff were fabulous: punctual, polite, professional and helpful. They worked extremely hard, in very hot weather, on a property which requires a lot of uphill and downhill climbing to get to the various buildings. Despite that, they never lost their sense of humour and had the whole house, workshop, annex and garden packed on schedule.

The delivery, the following day, was equally as seamless and punctual despite there having been a lot of adverse traffic on the journey. All items were taken to the rooms, buildings or put in the place stated on the item or on our plan. This has made it so much easier for us unpacking and has meant we don't need months of physio to get over the move!

I cannot thank the whole team enough for how easy they made it, a 5* job!"

I moved across the country and, at the last minute, had to put all my stuff in storage for 2 months. At the time of moving out I had no idea how long it would be to completion.

"As a woman on my own I cannot lift and carry very much so I needed help. Did all my own packing but the staff took care of all the heavy stuff. They provided plenty of boxes. The execution was excellent - even dismantled and rebuilt a superking ottoman bed (on the second floor!). And the cost was reasonable compared to other quotes I had. Would recommend this company highly. They were efficient, cheerful and obliging; couldn't have asked for more.
The paperwork was detailed and complete. I was given lists of everything that went into each storage pod and it was all checked off as it was delivered."

The move was from a 4 bedroom property to a smaller property a couple of miles away. We had a lot of furniture and many items in the garage, some of which was very heavy. The removal team were experts at arranging items that needed to be stored in the destination garage so we could still park a car in there. Nothing was too much trouble.

I was so very impressed by the prompt service to come round and give a quote, Andy immediately put me at ease, explaining they would unplumb the washing machine and plumb in the other end. When upstairs he told me not to pack the hanging clothes as they would do that and hang in wardrobes the other end. I was so impressed with the professionalism of the company.

"I was over the moon when he said they would dismantle the bed and put together the other end, fantastic.They came to me recommended which I totally understood as I have recommended them to others.

Booking was a nightmare for Maxine I think at one point we had five dates booked in. Then I was told on the Wednesday that it was unlikely to exchange on the Thursday as we were due to move on the Friday, it would probably be the next week! We did exchange on the Thursday and we were moving the following day, Maxine said I had been pencilled in and she would get a team together which she did. Incredible service so impressed the guys were amazing and got the job done. They are amazing and not over priced. I did have part packing to help me out so well done.

Totally amazing, at a very stressful time it is nice to have someone who knows what they are doing when you�re clueless!
I would recommend this company for there professionalism and kindness."
