A move from a two bedroom rental in Godalming, to a 3 bedroom house in Shamley Green

"The move was exceptional. The team were calm and professional, even though it was an extremely hot day and they had to carry the items a fair way to the lorry as no near on site parking.

Both the sofa and the super king mattress proved extremely tricky to get in and out of the properties, but the team solved all issues with skill, ingenuity and patience.

I would not hesitate to recommend Surrey Hills removals in the future.

We moved within the same locality from a large semi to a detached three floor cottage. with narrower staircases. It was a staged-move over four days which was a great way to manage it. As a mature couple it meant we were not overwhelmed as much as we could have been and it allowed for cleaning days before our departure. We are grateful this was proposed to us. Vehicles are clean inside and out.

"We cannot fault the service we received nothing was damage and it all arrived back with us. We chose Surrey Hills Removers primarily because they employ their own staff (not agency), they have secure storage facilities, they said they would cover carpets with film, cover all soft furnishings in one time use bags, wrap furniture and artwork and did not seem alarmed by the 40+ pots needing to be transferred.

In fact they provided a separate whole van just to deal with the amount of garden gear we own - it looked like Kew Gardens loaded into the van - exceptionally heavy pots - not one got damaged. Due to the temperatures we asked the plants move with us on the day rather than be stored.

This was a massive feat for the team on the actual removal day to manage this with essentials ie dismantling beds and cupboards and reassembling all on one day. Their patience and sense of humour was legendary. An additional team of two were drafted in, just as well as keys were not handed over until 3pm on a Friday.

Paul, Lewis and Ryan made it a great experience. Their lighthearted attitude and will do approach was a great comfort. Keeping continuity of the core team makes you feel at ease. Just remember to keep them fed and watered!

I went for the full package, boxing up day one, next day the actual move.

"If you’re looking for a good removals company Surrey Hills removals are the best I’ve come across, believe me in my 75 years I’ve moved a lot!

From doing all the packing the day before the move, which was done with precisian. The day of the move was really smoothly executed. Today the boxes and paper were picked up by these amazing guys, I can’t thank the crew enough for the brilliant job they did.

We moved out of 5 bed house and placed our belongings into storage with Surrey Hills removals. The storage was initially for a month but had to be extended to approximately 5 months. Surrey Hills removals then moved us in to our new home. The prices shown below was for removal only.

"Surrey Hills were easy to deal with when getting an initial quote, booking our move and during the moving out, storage and moving in process.

Alan and Richard in the office were very helpful with respect to arranging logistics and finances/payments respectively.

The people on the ground (all company employees as opposed to sub contractors) were very pleasant, communicative and efficient.
Everything was packed and unpacked carefully and nothing was damaged. There was no damage to either house during the move. If furniture needed to be taken apart this was done carefully as was reconstruction once at the new house.

Storage was more expensive than competitors however it was charged per day rather than per week or month. Access to storage was allowed - we did so once - and was managed efficiently. After the move emptied boxes were collected on request (twice) and this was actioned very quickly.

Overall we were very pleased with the service provided by Surrey Hills. As mentioned the storage was dearer than others removal firms but we hadn't intended to store our belongings for 5 months."

Removal of part house contents following household splitting into two. Both party’s removals handled by same company. Mine went into store for three weeks.

"Great professional service from sales engagement, costing, sale support, admin and aftercare.

The operational teams were very efficient, caused zero damage, respected property, professional and polite. Proactive and helped out on dismantling and assembly and spotting issues in advance to resolve. Painlessly guided two novices through the process.

Move of our town house to our village town house with all the usual goods plus a complex digital hybrid piano and a large heavy garden statue.

"Surrey Hills Removals moved us three years ago and they were so good we didn’t get quotes from anyone else when we moved just recently. We requested Grant as the foreman who was our foreman before and it was brilliant to have him, Josh who helped us before and the rest of the team.

Nothing was too much trouble for the team: even dismantling and removing my complex hybrid digital piano and moving Mabel our massive cast iron garden pig. They were good humoured, friendly, tidy, efficient, careful.

They were moving us into our house that was still having the last stage of the renovation done, and the team worked carefully around our decorators.

A stunningly good move. My wife and I would never go anywhere else for removals."

Move from semi detached to detached property. Lots of stuff

"Fantastic experience! Super punctual, helpful, polite. They looked after our new decorating and carpets. Building of furniture was really good. All round very happy and would use you again or recommend to a friend.

One small glass candle holder broke when I removed it from packaging but I think that was my bad unpacking probably!

My wife and I used Surrey Hills Removals for our downsizing project. We sold our house (a barn conversion in Worplesdon) in December 2025. We put our furniture etc into storage with Surrey Hills. We then looked for a suitable apartment to buy close to Guildford town centre. We found the ideal property and, as a cashed-up buyer with no property to sell, were able to complete a deal. We moved in in mid-February 2026.

"Surrey Hills Removals Ltd was so easy to deal with. They provided very comprehensive information at every stage. When you telephone them a real person answers your call quickly- imagine that!

The move went like clockwork at both ends. The lovely removal team were so helpful and carried out the move with patience, kindness and humour.

When I changed mind about a piece of furniture they had put upstairs -they carried it back downstairs. We have moved 6 times over the years and this has been the easiest. Everything so well packed including paintings, glassware, and wedgewood bone china and no damage or breakages."

Large 4/5 bedroom house into a five bed rental nearby. Over three days, Lewis, Andy, and Mike were fantastic. Very professional and went above and beyond. Will definitely use again.

"We’ve had several moves over the years including transatlantic and this was one of the best and easiest moves we’ve had. We had lived in our house for almost 12 years and moved into rental accommodation closeby. Our movers were very flexible and helpful with the best way to organise everything - we managed to move/store/donate within three days with no issues. Smaller trucks and a couple of runs the first days and then finishing up on day three. Surrey Hills were professional, efficient and thoughtful of us and went the extra bit further with handling our things - even with lots of stairs on both ends!"

"From the first conversation and quote to today when the removal boxes were picked up I could not fault the company. Everybody was friendly and professional. We had a full packing service which was brilliant and took the stress out of the move. We used the packing service spanning 3 days: day 1 pack and store in van; day 2 pack remaining items and take directly to new properly:’; day 3 hold items from day 1: day 4 return can from day 1.

"Can’t recommend Surrey Hills Removals highly enough. Not only were they excellent at their job job itself (careful packing, speedy & efficient) but they were really nice guys; friendly and helpful and just what is needed in a stressful and emotional situation. On two of the days, a couple of extra men turned up to help who were equally friendly and at no point did I feel rushed to make any decisions about my many boxes! Would absolutely use again.

We had the packing service, which extended across three days, including holding the bulk of our items for an extra 24 hours to allow us to clean the new properly.

Have also already had a return visit by another friendly helpful member of the team to take some boxes back."
