"Great team of two who were friendly, chatty and very understanding as to where things were being placed due to ongoing building work and indecision ( on my part). The worked well together knowing each otherís strengths. An all round good job well done.

Great service from beginning to end especially when the whole process of moving is normally stressful time. Add a COVID pandemic and all that it has entailed it has certainly been emotional. The team has been friendly and helpful (fabulous) from the beginning prior to moving out of one house in Sept 20, placing all furniture into storage till Jul 21."

"Before the move I found the Admin. staff very friendly and helpful.

We had a ton of stuff to move and filled the biggest size removal van. I would have said it was impossible for two men to pack it all in the van and move it in one day, however, I underestimated Greg and Andy! I have never seen two guys work so hard, their strength and stamina was quite unbelievable and they never stopped. We were super impressed by them, they never moaned and just got on with it. At the other end (4 hour journey) they unloaded everything very quickly and how they kept going in the heat of the day I'll never know. They kept their sense of humour throughout the day. I would not hesitate to use Anchor removals again we were very impressed!"

This was a big relocation move from one part of the UK to another so had added complications.

"Tony came to do the initial survey back in January. He was very professional & gave us all the information we required plus was very punctual & I received the quotation within the agreed time which we were very happy with.
Our house sale took a lot longer than we imagined & was very stressful at times. The removal service was something I didnít need to worry or stress about as Jane & Ellen in the office were very helpful & supportive throughout the whole process.
Our move was carried out over 2 days as we were relocating to a different town 100 miles away. Tony & Gav came on day 1, arriving on time, explained everything to us & were very professional & took great care of our possessions. On day 2 Gav, Greg & Andy arrived bang on the agreed time & were again very professional & took all the stress out of what was a very stressful day. It was a very hot day & was a lot longer than we all anticipated but Gav, Greg & Andy never complained. We could not have been happier with how the whole removal went. Gav, Greg & Andy were absolutely fab & we canít thank them enough for what they did for us!!"

"Extremely impressed with the three removal men, who were courteous, hard-working and paid great attention to detail. We were moving to a three storey property and the removal men were keen to 'get things right' in terms of where everything was being placed. They were able to over-come problems (e.g. removing legs from furniture), to enable items to be placed in desired locations, as opposed to stating that it 'cannot be done'.

The removal men worked very quickly and were impressive in their ability to safely load and unload items. They also were required to lift very heavy, large wooden furniture and navigate it around tight corners.

We really appreciated their efforts and positive attitude towards the volume of items they were expected to move. Thank you."

"Moving home at the best of times creates stress and anxiety compounded by the actual relocation of goods and processions. The brilliant team at Anchor Britannia were there to help. We looked at various removal companies but settled on Anchor as we found the interactions to be informative and honest. The process started with the survey which is required so the correct sized vehicle can be utilised. We had various discussions with the operations team who helped us with various questions. Then the day before the move the A-Team showed up with the huge wagon to pre-pack to steal a March on the following day. On day 2 the team showed up early and loaded the remaining items. Care was taken to carefully move our processions through our home and into the wagon where they were delicately packed with care. On arrival at our new home the team were keen to get our belongings into the right rooms - this was done quickly but with care. Everything we moved made it in one piece with no damages.

We moved from a five bedroomed house in North Yorkshire to a similar property in Worcestershire. The move took place over 4 days, with full packing service. The move included a grand piano, a trampoline and a number of bicycles.

"The initial survey for quotation was done over the internet. Chris, who did the survey, was very clear in his instructions and directions as we moved through the house. The quotation was delivered promptly by email. Chris made much of how their team members are valued by the business, which showed in the service delivered. He also cleared described the structure of the Britannia group and the support available, if necessary, from other members, which added confidence for a national move. Communication with the office staff before our decision, in answering any questions was excellent.
At the point we were ready to book Chris decided to come and do an on-site survey to ensure that the quotation was accurate.
Once the move was underway everything was done according to plan. The team were friendly and professional throughout. A couple of minor issues did occur but they were dealt with appropriately. On the last evening in our old home the team made sure that we had the minimum necessary for a good nightís sleep, while still having as much as possible loaded onto the vehicle.
On the day of the move the second vehicle was delayed by a road closure and some unhelpful sat-nav directions. Even this was dealt with calmly, and although we arrived at the destination in the late afternoon we were still able to get a good nightís sleep in our new home.
The final unloading on day four went smoothly, a little hurried at times, but the team wanted to get the job finished and get on their way. The paperwork was dealt with accurately and minor issues noted.
A big thank you to the Britannia Anchor team, to Paul and Reece in our second vehicle, and especially to Ant and Gav who spent the whole four days with us.
We would highly recommend the services of Britannia Anchor. They were not the cheapest, but gave us the confidence throughout the process that they we the right choice."

Moving a 3 bedroom house from Yorkshire to Cornwall which was a logistical challenge to say the least.

"Dealing with Britannia Anchor Removals was a joy as they took the time to understand our needs and explain the options and how the move would work. For example day 1: empty current home, day 2: travel to Cornwall, Day 3: unload and leave back for depot arriving Thursday. We were advised to give 2 weeks notice for completion and move given the logistics involved. They fully explained all aspects of insurance and how to pack and that they would be happy to pack the delicate crystal items we were not confident with.

Unfortunately the move did not go to plan as the buyers solicitors reneged on promises made and we had to abort after our current home was emptied. The removers had almost traveled to Cornwall when we found out but Chris at Anchor took it all in his stride and managed everything for us including emergency storage. He took all the stress away of the move from us, for which we are entirely grateful.

When things got sorted Chris arranged delivery if our belongings as soon as possible with no hassle and no fuss. The crew were fantastic and were more than willing to place furniture where we needed it and move it again on occasion, nothing was too much trouble. They were professional, courteous and very efficient as everybody was at Britannia Anchor Removals. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They met our expectations and then some."

"Tony came to survey the house to give us a quote and he was very professional and covered everything, gave us two prices one for just moving and the other for packing as well.

We chose the packing and move as we have a 1 yr old so thought it would be easier, this did not disappoint. Tony again turned up the day before the removal, he mentioned that two more lads were joining later on but they were stuck on another job so he just started packing and delivered some of the stuff to the new house that day.

Greg and Andy came the moving day and finished the packing and moved us out. This was such a good process and made our move less stressful. The lads were amazing and just got on with the job really could not of done this without them"

"The fact that your removal company were very professional and efficient made the move so much easier and less stressful for us both.

We particularly liked the storage boxes used for hanging clothes which saved time for us having to pack them.

All our furniture and storage boxes were placed exactly where we wanted them by your removal team.

We were moving from Manchester to Cumbria, our furniture and other items were going into storage until we completed on our purchase. Our sale completion date was moved from Friday to Thursday with just 2 days notice and Anchor pulled out all the stops to help us empty our house out early. It was an extremely stressful few days and without their fantastic help our sale and subsequent purchase would have fallen through.

"Fantastic service from Ellen and the guys.
We had our removals into storage booked for the Friday and on the Tuesday afternoon our sale completion date was suddenly moved forward to Thursday. Nightmare. There was no availability at such short notice for a Thursday removal so Ellen sent a van and crew round late on Tuesday afternoon to pick up as much of our big furniture as they could, and another van and crew on Wednesday afternoon, at the end of their shifts.
We hired a van and moved the rest of our things ourselves to our local self storage which we had already been filling.
Ellen then arranged for a van and crew to empty our self storage into Anchorís storage so that everything was together. Once we completed on our purchase they delivered everything to our new house.
Ellen was a life saver, I donít know how we would have moved without her help. All the guys involved in the removals were very efficient and friendly, a lovely bunch of guys. First class service from all, from start to finish.

We booked the packing service and our two movers, Gavin and Ant, arrived with the large removal van the day prior to our move and spent best part of the day ensuring that everything was boxed and ready to load into the van. They gave us some useful tips about what to pack last (the kettle!) and advised us to place any items that we didnít want packing in a specific area. They worked efficiently throughout the day, adhering to Covid restrictions at all times. We moved from a three storey townhouse, and were quite worried about getting a heavy marble dining table down from the first floor. A previous removal company had described it as a Ďdeal- breakerí! When Chris came out to assess and provide a quote for our move, he was not fazed at all by the table and said that he would ensure an extra man would be available on the day it was moved. We had the same Ďcan doí response from our movers, Gavin and Ant, who took care protecting the table and manoeuvred it down to the ground floor with help from their colleague, who arrived to provide support. Our move was to a property approximately 30 miles away and the van was waiting for us outside our new property when we arrived in our car, as we had been caught in traffic! They placed the furniture/boxes in the required rooms and communicated with us constantly to ensure that everything was correctly placed. The professional, friendly approaches by everyone concerned were a breath of fresh air and we would not hesitate to recommend the company.

We were particularly impressed with the emphasis Chris places on taking care of his workforce, looking after their well-being and focusing on their safety. This was validated by the movers who had nothing but praise for their company.
Ellen and Jane in the office were absolutely brilliant and kept the communication channels open when our completion date kept being changed. They were understanding and empathic at times of high stress, and were always a friendly and helpful voice at the end of the phone.
Overall, moving house is a stressful experience, however Chris and the team ensured that with clear, regular communication, professional advice and a friendly approach, our property move was smoothly and efficiently carried out, and for that we are extremely grateful. Many thanks to you all!"

"Really impressed with the service, rang to let us know they were on the way. The team were really friendly and happy to help/discuss items that needed moving. We were so impressed at how quickly they got the van loaded in 2 hours and unloaded in the same amount of time. Made our move seamless and if we ever move again we will be using them again."
