We were notified by our solicitors late on a Monday afternoon that contracts had been exchanged and we had to move house 3 days later on Friday. After previously being told we could not book a removal firm until contracts had been exchanged. This was very stressful at short notice. We had a previous quote from QuickSilver which was very reasonable but we doubted they would have availability. I rang on the Tuesday & the receptionist said they could fit us in for Friday. It was such a relief at a very traumatic time.

"Excellent service from start to finish.Team arrived promptly and quickly loaded our furniture and boxes onto removal van.They were polite & friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
They left for their lunch leaving a mobile number to ring as soon as we collected keys to new home.
After an hour we received the keys, no sooner had I informed them we had access they arrived to unload our belongings. The whole process was very efficient from start to finish.
I would highly recommend Quicksilver Removals, definitely value for money.

They understood instinctively that moving is a very stressful experience, and they made sure that everything they did put us at our ease and made us feel confident in the move. They communicated well with us, and nothing was too much trouble. They took great care of moving anything delicate or large - it was impressive to watch!

A detached house removal

"Imagine moving from big house to a smaller house, but the lads did a fantastic job, was definitely a team effort and every single one of them were fantastic.
I have never seen people so happy that time in the morning when the lads came the day of removal especially for the job they do, they were incredible, very helpful and friendly.

I was worried will be expensive based on quotes I had from other companies but I was wrong, was affordable price and the response was quick and professional.

I don�t normally leave feedbacks or reviews unless I�m extremely unhappy with a service or I�m really really really happy with a service!

A bit of a challenge 5 bed home including 16 bookcases and 2000 books. Team arrived 8.30am prompt. Polite and well experienced. Done by 12.30 pm New address 1.15pm unloaded by 4.15pm

"We were delighted with the service. The three men were polite and helpful.
Two vans were used and everything was carefully wrapped and stored.
Ramps were used so there was throwing of stuff onto the vans. They worked well as a team. It was a new experience for us and we were anxious but they were methodical and well paced. We arrived at new address and they emptied vans in reverse order with the same professional manner."

Particular care was taken with two items of furniture as requested. E tra staff were used to ensure enhanced, risk minimisation care given. Items were appropriately protected Relocation was within 5 miles

"Pre move packing day by Kevin was good. Boxes clearly marked so made finding boxes post move was very easy.
Excellent care of two pieces of furniture carried out well, even negotiating very heavy item down narrow staircase.
Boxes delivered into appropriate rooms and neatly at destination -again, making the finding of contents easy.
Extra staff used to move difficult pieces of furniture.
Wardrobes well reconstructed post move by staff."

We moved home within Hexham and with changes in chain and circumstance could not secure our original removal company, we contacted QuickSilver at the last moment for their help with our move.

"Quicksilver came to our aid at the point in time in the chain when things were getting a little more stressful with dates, exchange and completion of our family home. We had previously booked a removal company that we had used on 3 other occasions yet due to date changes in the chain they could no longer accommodate us on our preferred dates. In panic mode, we reached out to Quicksilver as they had been recommended to us by our Estate Agent. With VERY short notice, we asked if they had availability and with some checking and changes Quicksilver confirmed they could fit us in. The admin was swift and organised, which we often find is a good sign of an efficient business when the initial experience is positive.

Geordie, Thomas, Petezy, Stephen, Graeme, were all superstars on the two removal days. They worked incredibly hard as one team, they were professional and respectful yet full of humour and added fun into what was a busy few days. It was evident that they had worked together for a long time as they worked seamlessly as one team to clear our old home and carefully place things into our new home. The team were also patient in waiting for confirmation of completion on the day (hit by a 24-hour global banking and IT meltdown).

Quicksilver were new to us but would now highly recommend them to others. IF we were (ever) to move again, we would have a tough decision on our hands ! With thanks to the team for their friendly, efficient and professional end to end service."

Moving fro Newcastle to Ellington

"Our move with Quicksilver got off to a great start as the van arrived nearly 30 minutes before schedule. Geordie and his team worked well and loaded all of our items in about three hours only stopping for a cuppa at my insistence. Through no fault of Quicksilver or us the move was stalled due to a crash in the banking system which meant that none of the three in the chain could complete. This went in for hours before the team made their way to our new home to wait it out. As it was 45 minutes away it turned out to be a great decision as we didn�t get the go ahead until 4.45 in the afternoon. The Quicksilver team then completed their task in about one hour, putting everything where I requested it. I could have asked more from them. They are a credit to your organisation. I have already recommended Quicksilver to a friend who is looking for a removal company. Thank you all so much for a job well done."

Full house move out and in on the same day, including garden furniture and getting a sofa down from the 1st floor via very tight corridors.

"The initial paperwork was professional, giving us confidence in the service.
The crew were absolutely fantastic. They were all very polite, happy and had great banter. They worked well together and worked very fast. Absolutely no damaged items at all.
My husband was nervous about the TV- this was packed by the movers beautifully in a very secure transport bag/case and resulted in no damage.
I was worried about getting the sofa bed down the flight of stairs. It was wrapped up, and brought down the stairs brilliantly- they made it look easier than when it was bought!

We had an issue with our neighbour (unrelated to the movers), and the crew handled this really well and were very understanding. It was very much appreciated.

The crew handled all items with care, whilst working with efficiency to get all the goods out and then into the new property.

We were very impressed. We will be recommending them, and will be using them for our future moves."
