"After previous moves, I decided to let a company help me. I checked a few suppliers out but all I got was a spreadsheet to complete which was difficult so I arranged a visit. This gave me a lot of great insights as to what I needed to / did not need to do especially around my garage kit and what costs were involved.

I decided to do the pre-pack myself using boxes and wrap bought from GP. I left the boxes in the rooms they were packed in. GP had bags & racks for TV's, hanging clothes, mattresses etc that couldn't go in the std boxes which they packed on move day. As I didn't know when my house funds would be transferred I opted for the fee waiver which covered me for additional costs if the moving crew couldn't unload till after the 1:00pm timeline.

Move day was like a military operation (probably because the team leader was ex-army). The Lorry was packed in 2 1/2hrs. Once we had the green light unload it took about 2 1/2 hrs with each box taken to whichever room we needed. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and they even helped assemble the beds back together and swap some furniture from 1 room to another (after I had a layout rethink). The Move was completed by 4:00pm (even taking into account waiting a few hours for funds transfer to be confirmed). GP move team did say it wasn't unusual to work till after 7:00 if needed. The cost was on the high side of my budget but definitely worth it. No damage found on any item. Great move team."

"Helpful office staff at less and than weeks notice arranged everything. Three cheerful young man arrived on time packed everything very carefully and went beyond the call of duty. The following day delivered everything safely 150 miles away without supervision so all we had to do the following day was to unpack at our leisure. Wonderful service from start to fresh."

"The men came early and were really helpful and good humoured. The vans were packed rapidly and efficiently then the drive was achieved surprisingly quickly.
Unloading was again very quick and efficient with everything put where I wanted it.
There was one picture glass broken (on a large painting with a flimsy frame) and the men were visibly annoyed with themselves but the money for the repair came through without a problem.

Excellent service from start to finish. All the staff were pleasant and easy to deal with and the move was much easier than anticipated."

The move was going to be a simple move from Wilsden and Shipley into one house in Baildon. It was not to be so it became a move of some items from Shipley to Wilsden and the rest into storage. Pickersgills were very accommodating with storage and moving part to Wilsden and chopping and changing. They were very helpful and understanding throughout the very long period of uncertainty for us.

"Ciaran came to see us at both venues after making arrangements via Karen. He gave us sensible quotes that we accepted. When plans changed Karen was very flexible in the office in changing plans with Ciaran. All in all we were very satisfied with Pickersgills who helped us through a difficult time in our lives. we would definitely recommend them to others."

From Bradford to Leeds. We had downsized from a school and had many oversized items to move. This was taken into account in arranging the move over two days as we already had the keys to the new house. The removers packed and wrapped all the big or awkward items. It made the move much less stressful.

"See above comments. I had a difficult move but the staff were very friendly and helpful. They made a very difficult time very easy. Everything was placed where it needed to be and from there it was a straightforward task of unpacking and putting things away. All the boxes were collected and reused at my request. The move involved disassembling and reassembling furniture and other items which they did and undoubtedly made the move easier for us. In my view my removers set the benchmark for how to move people. I cant give a higher complment."

WE had lots of issues regarding our move. From straight forward move to eventually going to storage .

"This company were amazing at being flexible to accommodate the many changes that occurred. Every step of the way they did there best to work out the best solution. They were very professional, the members of staff that did the removal were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Moving into storage was efficient. Once everything came out of storage it was dry and clean. Everything had been looked after really well.I would not hesitate to recommend this company. They have moved us twice and everything has been faultless. Price highly competitive with majority on the market.

I would highly recommend this company. Nothing is too much trouble. They are willing to be flexible to whatever changing circumstances occur.

They are very competitive on price. From the first person that came to price our move, to the staff in the office, to the guys who moved us they were all extremely professional, kind, caring, helpful and calm. They listened to what we wanted to happen and carried it out efficiently.

We moved a short distance to a bungalow. We have a challenging drive, but they managed well

"We used Pickersgill for a previous move and were utterly satisfied with their service on both occasions. Their price was midrange, but worth every penny. They were professional from start to finish. They always arrived on time (for estimate, dropping off packing materials and the move itself), and their staff are professional but never pushy.
The moving day was in November so the weather was awful, but they made sure all carpets were well protected at either end of the move, so the carpets were kept clean and mis free. They went through the rooms with us to see what was to go where and the move went smoothly ( they were waiting at our new home as we waited for keys)."

The team worked hard and quickly and made a stressful day much more bearable. They were pleasant and polite and made every effort to pack with great care.

"From the very beginning of the move, the two removal men were hard-working, cheerful and polite. They worked carefully and well and took great care with my furniture. When they arrived, the first thing they did was protect the entrance and stair carpet from damage.

They made a very stressful day bearable and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others. Although by no means cheap, I got a brilliant service and all my items arrived safely at my new home.

"Totally approachable and cooperative in the preparation stage, and thoroughly professional in all aspects of execution of the move.
Clients were relieved of any stress whatsoever!
Removal team unfazed by difficulty of access for lorry on narrow lanes near the receiving property, and seemed to make light work of the front garden approach to the house which was being excavated at the time! Every precaution was taken by the team to keep the interior clean and tidy.
This was the second time the client has used Pickersgill, and there will be a third when an occasion next arises."

"The experience was excellent.
During the initial assessment of our needs, they were very helpful, understanding & flexible given we were unsure about exactly what would be moving. They appreciated our situation and were very accommodating.
The day of the move was made totally stress free by the team that came to move us, I can not speak highly enough of them.
The team were very friendly and obliging and went over and above to make everything go smooth.
They were very professional, extremely careful with both our belongings and property.

The Guys did EVERYTHING for us, and they were a pleasure to work with. They really did a lot more than "just move our stuff". Everything was left where we asked (Even if we changed our minds).

Move from South Yorkshire to Cumbroa

"Lovely people and very professional service. They worked smoothly and no breakages or damage taking stuff out of our 3 storey house and into a converted water mill with multiple stairs, nooks and crannies etc.

This was a two day move at moved 160 miles. The team were bright eyed and bushy tailed, more so than we were.

Everything went smoothly. A tip for all house holds moving house. Write the contents on side of the boxes, as if on top, then you cannot see whats in it when boxes are stacked. Possibly the firm can use this tip and possibly print side labels when they next order their boxes."

Our move was made much easier and less stressful by using this company. We had everything packed and moved into storage and then delivered to our new home. We could have not done this move without the expertise of this company.

This was from the first phone call to estimation, remove to storage and then returned to our new property.

They arrived spot on time, packed up all delicate items and fragile valuables and moved it to storage, it was like clockwork. I had to do nothing other than advise where things were to go when being delivered back to our new property. All boxes were marked up identified and logged with a record given to us.

The return of our goods from storage was just as smooth and to time and so smooth an operation. The staff employed worked tirelessly and could not have been more accommodating with placing items exactly where require.

My hardest job was making the tea and coffee.

Brilliant service from an old established company who care about there customers and the service provided.
